Savior Heat is a good name ... sounds like "save your heat" keeping your hands warm and good gloves are a savior on a cold day.

It's so cool how y'all got a sponsor and now have over 3k subs. Shows how hard work can pay off!

The idea about bringing more single blacks to highlands has always been something I wanted as someone who only skis a few weeks a year and does so at Aspen. Now that I’m skiing expert terrain the issue doesn’t affect me but it was still super noticeable. A dedicated single black region would be so nice.

I was hoping that a connector from Ajax Summit to Merry-go-round would be on the table! though I would hope for a higher capacity lift rather than a tram. Maybe a 3s to compete with Peak2Peak.
That being said, I think I'll vote for Arjun for the win. I like the two expansions to Highlands and like the inclusion of Bell.

“Prone to nasty avalanches so it’s the next logical addition to the resort”😂

Yeah I realized how stupid that sounded after we finished recording 😂 I meant that since so many accidents happen there, it would be logical for the resort to annex it into its own boundary line just to make that whole zone safer to ski.

Maybe the logic is "it clearly has enough snow" 😂

Im thankful for how hard it is for people to get to Aspen. City squad day trippers ruin the snow experience.

I’m always surprised when people don’t mention Annie’s basin. It’s not exciting, and the all the failures to launch it as a separate resort have soured people’s opinion. But it’s still solid terrain.

The issue is just getting people all the way out there, but certainly feasible.

Getting more into the weeds ... since the rise is smaller that the run for all but the steepest skiable slopes, more precision in the rise affects the accuracy more than the run, therefore choosing feet for units instead of meters will give you a slightly more accurate calculation (even though earth gives you two decimals on the horizontal measurement when using meters, it only gives you whole meter increments for the more important vertical measurement). To change units, click Tools on the menu bar, choose settings, then scroll down to select the Units of Meausrement that you want.

I agree with replace Silver Queen, but I say go big or go home. They need a 3S gondola with 30 person cabins and under 10 minute ride time.

Bottom half of Highlands doesn't hold snow well.

This part didn't seem to post ... I use Google Earth (free) to calculate grade (rise over run) on ski runs and backcountry slopes. Click the Measure Distance icon on the top toolbar (looks like a ruler), then hover in the area you want to measure and make note of the elevation in the bottom right corner of the window and click to begin the measurement (move around to find a round number if you are trying to remember the vert), Next move to a spot uphill or downhill staying in the fall line as best you can and again make note of the elevation and click again to get the horizontal distance (find a round number elevation here also if not writing it down). Now you have the rise (vertical distance) from the difference between the elevations that you noted or remembered for the two points and you have the "measured" horizontal distance. Calc the rise over run (200' / 858' = 0.2331 or a 23.3% grade).

Pretending Aspen is more known for the mansions than the skiing is a laughable joke and opening with that almost made me click off the video. Then your first suggestion is to replace the gondola so it "looks bougie"? Throw the third idea at the front and maybe you'll retain attention of people better. This video otherwise screams "we grew up rich and skied world class terrain early, but we're TOTALLY ski bums!"
