I saw this play out in a youth group. The teenagers were given rocks and they had a sinner (giant teddy bear) sitting in a chair and they formed a circle around it. If Jesus was here on earth right now could you throw that stone?
I am 52 and wanted to get married. I had heath issues when i was your age . I work full time at a Catholic Church and morality has really changed . Im stunned how quickly someone like myself that works for the Church in Ministry is odd . We have to pray for our country and world.
Honestly I think I agreed with most all of what you were discussing. I especially love the one about the church, it is completely on you how much a part of church you are! We recently became Sunday school teachers and it feels so good to be a part of that, it truly brings you closer to God and the fact that your teaching the children about God also.

You are so very right on the Judging , there are so much for us to learn in the Bible , and if everyone would read it on a daily basis, and believe what it says, this world would not be in the mess it is in.
I think I would only add that it might be clearer to say that we are ‘discerning’ the actions of the people around us…really same idea but much more palatable to the hearer. And I totally 100% agreed with what Kim and Darryl said. We have to ‘judge’ or discern the actions of those around us everyday in order to keep God first in our lives because we definitely become like the people we chum with, good or bad.

Discernment is the word I use, as opposed to judgement. While it’s true that God judges all, I am called to discern what behavior is ok for me, and to discern whether the actions of others who I might associate myself with is glorifying to God. Judges can give a penalty, but I can’t.

Totally agree with getting dressed to go out. I work graveyards in an ER. If you can walk out your house, get in your car and drive, stop at McDonald's before getting here you can throw on some clothes. I can't tell you how many woman I have seen in their "nighties". Really enjoyed this.

A couple of my thoughts: this whole transgender movement and Christians accepting these things that are not Biblical just seems like we are one step closer to the End Times. I think judgement can be a form of discretion, obviously to keep us from associating with people who dont hold our same morals and values. Obviously we shouldnt shun them and condemn them, like you said, but just keep a healthy distance. Anyways, cant wait to hear part 2!

I can't count how many times I've been told, I should find a guy and get married. Comments like that one hurt me a lot. Their is a lot to uncover in this issue of singles: 1# It is not the girls role to ask a guy to date her that is my opinion 2# They guy needs to be ready to ask a girl if she wants to go for a date 3# You cannot force a guy to ask a girl even if the guys parent's/ girls parents like her it doesn't always mean the guy does. And the same goes with the girls parent's liking the guy 4# It also makes it very awkward for that person if they are getting teased about a certain guy/ or gal 5# This a touchy subject because their is a level of respect that needs to be earned, but it also can get lost when people say you should date or marry so and so. Also the subject itself should be that person's private life. 6# It is up to both the guy and the girl if they want to remain single or not. The choice is yours, and that's how it should c be:-) These are only my opinions:-)

Just want to add that people take the “judge not” verse out of context. We are also told in John 7:24 to “judge righteous judgement”. We obviously have to make judgments based on God’s word to know if we and others are living in a pleasing way to God. Always in love. ❤

My only disagreement would be the Starbucks vs. Dunkin. However, the drink I get from Starbucks is the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher so technically not a coffee. The only exception is during the winter season and if it is cold enough (I live in the South) I love the Chesnut Praline Latte with whipcream.
I'm also prolife, but feel woman that get sexually abused and get pregnant should have a choice and should have the right to make that choice, as it wasn't their choice to be sexually abused.
Killing an innocent human being that didn’t get a choice how they were conceived is not the answer. We would never go up to a 21 year old and ask how they were conceived. It doesn’t matter, They are a human being weather 21 days formed or 21 years old. At the end of the day, the abused woman that finds she is pregnant as a result ultimately gets the better end of the deal, a sweet baby that they can choose to raise or give to a couple that cannot have children themselves. Two wrongs never make a right, killing an innocent, developing child does not erase the act of violence and abuse that already took place. EVERYBODY has the right to life. ❤

I love the part about singleness and marriage.. sometimes I even have felt pressured to not enjoy my marriage as fully because of other peoples broken marriage relationships and I couldn’t ever put a finger on it but it feels wrong to purposely enjoy something less or not show my happiness.
I love everything about what you said except for the living together if your not married so before we were married we lived together but we didnt know christ when we both found christ we quit sleeping in the same bed untill we got married but we still lived in the same house i haven't read anywhere in the bible where it says living together is a sin i personally think if you can both control yourself while living together its ok .
You are absolutely correct. The term living together insinuates that you are sleeping together as well, which we believe is wrong. However living in the same house and not engaging in immorality is not wrong at all. I would caution anyone thats in that situation especially for an extended amount of time just because of the temptation it can present. Thanks for your comment!!!!
I’ve recently graduated with a counseling degree. So often people aren’t told that people who live together before marriage have a higher divorce rate for their marriage. With this knowledge arm yourself and work hard to keep your marriage great!
Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thess 5:22 is the scripture a lot would point to for this situation. In other words we are to try to not even let it look like we might be sinning.
I appreciate your openness in sharing your opinions without being condescending or exclusive. This is a hard thing to do and the fact the you both have so much poise and grace at young ages is impressive. I do not have the same opinions on all of the items you discussed, however I have a true interest in learning about and understanding the opinions of others. For most people in my real life, I don’t feel like I could have a candid discussion on their opinions without animosity and frustration.
My God is SO much bigger than any kinds of birth control! I've seen dozens of babies born while parents where using any kind of birth control, including sterilization. Last week we had a baby that was born along with an IUD :). Ultimately He is in control and He can and will over rule any man-made control. It's actually really precious when you think about it
I totally agree on the birth control there is science that proves it. On another note I totally disagree with the socks to sleep that is SO SO wrong!! I used to wear designer underwear but when I was in an accident the EMT's wanted to CUT them off of me. I made them wait till my hubby got there and had him do it but yeah never again have I paid a lot for under clothes!

I thought you did a beautiful job of representing Christ as a couple and imparting wisdom to your followers and providing an opportunity for all of us to listen and think of how we align our lives with the Bible. One thing I have always wanted to ask you is why do you watch shows like Friend’s and The Office when there is so much sexual immorality and topics on these shows that run so contrary to the Bible? I guess what I am asking is why do you let behaviors and lifestyles come into your living room via your tv screen that you wouldn’t endorse in your personal lives?.I heard you on a video once say you watch those shows and I was curious if Mennonites treat entertainment compartmentally. What I mean by that is, can you watch whatever you want even if it is far from the code of conduct of other things that your church and scripture upholds? I ask this in sisterly love.

My husband and I have been involved in abortion ministry (in South Bend) for a few years now, and have learned a lot through that.

Really like this video!!! I love the part about singleness and marriage.. sometimes I even have felt pressured to not enjoy my marriage as fully because of other peoples broken marriage relationships and I couldn’t ever put a finger on it but it feels wrong to purposely enjoy something less or not show my happiness.
I love everything about what you said except for the living together if your not married so before we were married we lived together but we didnt know christ when we both found christ we quit sleeping in the same bed untill we got married but we still lived in the same house i haven't read anywhere in the bible where it says living together is a sin i personally think if you can both control yourself while living together its ok .
You are absolutely correct. The term living together insinuates that you are sleeping together as well, which we believe is wrong. However living in the same house and not engaging in immorality is not wrong at all. I would caution anyone thats in that situation especially for an extended amount of time just because of the temptation it can present. Thanks for your comment!!!!
I’ve recently graduated with a counseling degree. So often people aren’t told that people who live together before marriage have a higher divorce rate for their marriage. With this knowledge arm yourself and work hard to keep your marriage great!
Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thess 5:22 is the scripture a lot would point to for this situation. In other words we are to try to not even let it look like we might be sinning.

I appreciate your openness in sharing your opinions without being condescending or exclusive. This is a hard thing to do and the fact the you both have so much poise and grace at young ages is impressive. I do not have the same opinions on all of the items you discussed, however I have a true interest in learning about and understanding the opinions of others. For most people in my real life, I don’t feel like I could have a candid discussion on their opinions without animosity and frustration.

My God is SO much bigger than any kinds of birth control! I've seen dozens of babies born while parents where using any kind of birth control, including sterilization. Last week we had a baby that was born along with an IUD :). Ultimately He is in control and He can and will over rule any man-made control. It's actually really precious when you think about it

I totally agree on the birth control there is science that proves it. On another note I totally disagree with the socks to sleep that is SO SO wrong!! I used to wear designer underwear but when I was in an accident the EMT's wanted to CUT them off of me. I made them wait till my hubby got there and had him do it but yeah never again have I paid a lot for under clothes!

I love hearing your opinions. You two remind me of my husband and I when we were young. We're now 50 and 48 and our opinions have pretty much stayed the same. I have children that range in age from 27-12 and I would say they pretty much have the same opinion. Keep up the good work. Glad to know there are more people in the world with biblical views.

I thought you did a beautiful job of representing Christ as a couple and imparting wisdom to your followers and providing an opportunity for all of us to listen and think of how we align our lives with the Bible. One thing I have always wanted to ask you is why do you watch shows like Friend’s and The Office when there is so much sexual immorality and topics on these shows that run so contrary to the Bible? I guess what I am asking is why do you let behaviors and lifestyles come into your living room via your tv screen that you wouldn’t endorse in your personal lives?.I heard you on a video once say you watch those shows and I was curious if Mennonites treat entertainment compartmentally. What I mean by that is, can you watch whatever you want even if it is far from the code of conduct of other things that your church and scripture upholds? I ask this in sisterly love.
