I agree with a lot of what you said. One other thing I’d mention is the Easter eggs Dodge put into the platform. The car is packed with little nods to the brand and themes and features that you wouldn’t know are there until you come across them. Also the number one thing I for me is the Motor in this beast. It is such a technological marvel and something we won’t see ever again. The future will be devoid of Supercharged Hemi V8s along with all the others out there in this category. Electric cars are on the verge of taking over.
I’ve always loved Easter eggs, sounds like I need to do some more research and digging.
I’m right there with you on the motor, I think we’re experiencing a dying breed, or one that will lay dormant for a good while. Electric is coming faster than people realize and it will make things much more difficult once regulations follow.
I feel incredibly lucky to experience such a monster of a motor, it’s amazing what humans have created over the years.
@@GasSmileage On the Easter Eggs there’s a good video if you look it up on UA-cam this chick goes through them. One of the real cool ones to me is the Dodge Brothers emblem under the armrest and the Challenger silhouette on the glass. The Demon has smoke behind the silhouette lol!!!

I have the Exact same car, lol. It's fun to drive kinda like the excitement you used to get as a kid when someone let you drive their go-cart. Same type feeling for me.

I daily drove a 6 speed 2016 CAMARO 2SS until my wife and I had kids. I never thought the visibility was bad at all. I especially didn't think it was a "death trap". I could definitely look to my immediate left much easier than my Stinger. The long door meant the B pillar was WA behind me, allowing tons of visibility. In my Stinger, when I look left, all I see is B pillar.
I’m not sure how much the fifth generation differs from the 6th in terms of visibility but I only ever sat in the passenger seat of a 5th gen. I remember the angle of the windshield making it seem to me the field of view out front was very narrow. If I remember correctly, the side windows are also somewhat narrow too, right? It’s been years
@@GasSmileage They are narrow, yeah, but not too narrow to see. I'm 6'2", maybe my eyes being up higher helps with visibility.
@@GasSmileage i test drove a 2014 2SS Camaro and it felt slower than my 2019 Challenger RT so I didn't buy it. Camaros are ass

Any opinions on chargers/challenger hellcats as far as price compared to how many miles the car has? If the hellcat is selling for under 50k and has under 30k miles is that a good deal? Also were there any flaws for the earlier model hellcats from 15-18?

Question: Have you ever had an oil leak? I have a 2020 Challenger Hellcat and this is the second time I’ve had an oil leak from the oil filter adapter. Wasn’t sure if this is a common thing or if I’m just unlucky.
I never had any oil leaks with mine but man it’s a roll of the dice with these hellcats, they each seem to have their own set of problems. I do remember reading somewhere that people were complaining about the oil filter quality, it’s possible you got unlucky with a couple of them.

As someone that is 6ft4 i hate sun/moon roofs with a passion. Hate having to squat or have my head at an angle to drive.
Have you noticed there to be more clearance in vehicles without that option?
@@GasSmileage yes. My brothers grand cherokee is an example, I can drive my friends that is the same model but not with sun roof, But i cant drive my brothers cause the roof comes down just far enough to make it uncomfortable.
That’s interesting, I thought the opposite would have been true! I checked how much room I had until my head hit the top today and it was only a few inches off (I’m 5’9”), definitely could see how it would be uncomfortable for anyone above 6’1ish.

I wonder if the hellcat has a quite exhaust mode.
I don’t believe it does, even in eco mode it’s quite loud. It also gets louder in track mode.
How many miles you think it'll last; I am getting a Hellcat charger daily drive want to make sure it last.
If you get a used one it’s going to depend on how you treat it and also how the last owner(s) did. These cars are tanks and can handle some abuse but maintenance will be key. My hellcat burned oil like a mfer, each one is unique in that sense but you shouldn’t have any issues getting 100k+ with proper maintenance
A stocked hellcat is actually a suped up challenger or charger right
The challenger and charger have a variety of different “trim levels” and the hellcat is one of them. You can see the different trims for each model on Dodge’s website. It’s kinda crazy how many different versions of the same car they offer
How much does a full tank cost??
It costs about $56 to fill up with 93 as of right now. Comparatively, just before the new year I was filling up for just under $40
in California $70 with 93 premium.

I know what you mean, it feels like a losing battle when cleaning them. I’m putting ceramic pads on soon so I’ll be posting an update on how that is with the brake dust.
