      TMM My experience is with the 3.6 (GT) and 5.7 (RT) models. I’ve had to do no maintenance other than routine stuff like oil changes in the last several years. Both models have pretty good fuel economy, honestly, and the RT is practically the same as the V6 in that regard. Like with any car, however, the more you get on the throttle, the quicker your tank will empty haha.

    • @MikeDrives
      @MikeDrives  5 років тому

      That's going to depend on what you're going to be doing with the car. If you're really big on the whole outdoor scene and offroading, then the Jeep will probably suit you. Dodge does make an AWD version of the Challenger, but the only engine configuration is the 305 HP V6. Or, you could get a Challenger Scat Pack (6.4L V8 485HP), and a really cheap Honda Civic. Drive the Honda Civic as a winter beater, then enjoy the Scat Pack during spring, summer and fall lol. Good luck!

    • @MikeDrives
      @MikeDrives  5 років тому +2

      It depends. As long as you use linear throttle input, you should be okay. I was not careful at 5:07, and used too much throttle too fast. Also, the car was not fully straight and traction control was turned off. The majority of the time I make it a habit to use two hands on the steering wheel, but that's just me.

      @julyfishy392 5 років тому +1

      Mike Drives hey mike i see these hellcats fishing so much? Is it because most people drive them without traction control? Im looking into a scat pack and it scares me. I dont want to fishtail. Im not a crazy drive by any means i only want a muscle car for the energy it gives and the sound. I would only go fast when it’s appropriate

    • @MikeDrives
      @MikeDrives  5 років тому +1

      @@julyfishy392 It will depend on the driver and several conditions: pavement, tires, and temperature. You also have to keep in mind some of these Hellcats are running 275 section tires (same as Scatpack), which I think is not enough. But I think if you're careful you should be okay. The Scatpack doesn't have the same power as the Hellcat so it won't overwhelm you. As you get more time behind the wheel, you should be fine. Good luck man!

    Thanks for the POV video. I like the low growling sound of the car, but there seems to be high pitch hiss when you are flooring a car around 2:40.

      Hmm I couldn't hear that hiss you're referring to. It could be the mic I was using. I'm not sure.

    My parents said this could be my first car do you think it would be a good first car

    • @MikeDrives
      @MikeDrives  5 років тому +5

      Absolutely not. As a first car, I would recommend a used car that's a few years old and particularly one that's a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned). The Challenger Hellcat is a 700 horsepower beast that will get you in trouble when you're not careful. You want to start at level 1 when it's your first car then gradually move up as your driving ability gets better.

      dont they do that only if u push too hard on the gas too suddenly?

    • @marianmarianov2948
      @marianmarianov2948 4 роки тому +1

      @@tmmh you can easily spin out even on high speeds due to the power of this car. I'd say it takes some getting used to before you can really push it comfortably
