Great video. Just brought on in the UK, as I need a small form PC for work and study and it is perfect for that. I went with the i5 with 8GB, becuase the i5 with 16GB was £120 more, and an extra 8GB stick was only an extra £15, so with your video I knew I could upgrade easily, so thank you!

Yes, RAM upgrade is easy, cheap and makes a big difference. Manufacturers always charge too much.

Tip/hint: There are enough eGPUs with Thunderbplt in the market. HP offers Flex ports for G9 with Thunderbolt.

Nice! I've just started getting into the mini fanless PC thing and it's a lot of fun. I got a cheapo to start with, but looking at these HP beasts or a mini fan tower.
Further reading (ignore if not interested) I was always a big ban of the ful size tower, big multidisk setup. Two DVD drives and a BlueRay. A buddy of mine had a liquid cooled RAID drives setup and superb graphics power. Well, for the time about eleven years ago. Meanwhile alongside our towers and dumb game setups with way too much RAM, I also ran a cute little XP netbook. With a 5400RPM drive. Utterly awesome, great notepad and email thing. :) I loved it.
Anyway, the last decade I kinda moved more fully into laptops. I always had a laptop but liked the desktop. After all that, I'm liking the desktop with a full keyboard and spin chair operation more. So these new fangled mini boxes are amazing! They fit anywhere, they are ultra quiet, they don't eat wattage, and you can by like five and put them all over to accomplish different things. Plus the entry prices are crazy. I got started for 75 bucks and the machine I have is basically a faster netbook machine to edit basic audio and do field recording on. This generic box isn't anything special, the cards in it are cheapy but it does work quite well.
We just have to be aware of the potential cyberwaste landfill issue. Recycling and perhaps giving away of the inferior mini PCS to fam members when we upgrade stuff.
    Cheers

I sell al old stuff to get back a fraction of what i paid, better than nothing. Someone will put to good use. My laptops usually last 3-4 years. One of my desktops is soon 12 years old and still working. I prefer quality stuff as it lasts longer on average. I don’t quiet trust cheaper mini pcs like beelink, minisforum, acemagician etc. I d probably stick with dell, hp, lenovo, intel nuc.
And reinstalling Windows once in 1-3 years often gets a computer a new life, maybe adding more RAM when possible. Some people switch to new computers just because they got too many apps that uses all the RAM

@@alegreviews Great points. Quality hardware means you can update or reinstall, add more RAM etc later on.

@cmd_f5 some lesser brands use ssds, ram, etc of generic/noname brands that will fail in a year or two. It is not just “upgradability”

Hi, i just purchased my hp pro mini 400 g9 same specs as yours a month ago on amazon and apparently the dual state power button came defective/faulty, and now its broken and cant turn on my computer, i have no complain on the computer since its a nice compact pc, specs, and operating system, but this problem just made me go nuts, its absurd this piece of plastic just fell off the metal box and now im unable to turn on my new computer, Agh; Is there a trick or method where i can fix this problem?! Or do you have any further information on how to fix this major problem?! Thank You.

Oh, wow, that’s very unfortunate. You may ask the seller or the manudacturer. I’ve never seen something like that. You may also check youtube videos and reddit.
      How much was it?

Price is fine. I think HP only gives US/Canada warranty for Laptops from US if you bought in US. Try calling them
