You’re not dumb, cars are just complicated and people who say they know everything are wrong. There is always something new to learn, and I appreciate that you show us all the mistakes, that’s what makes your channel better then the other car youtubers who just say they are going to do something and just cut it to when they are finished and say nothing about the process. Don’t let the a haters get to you brother!
Evan.. looks like the boost controller you took out was a grimspeed boost controller. You most def need to put that one back and not use the brown one. The brown one is the stock one and isnt used once you put a 3 port in.
Says he doesn't read comments, later in the video he asks us for help. How can we help you if you don't read your comments? The last 3 video's I've been telling you to take another look at your turbo studs because THEY ARE IN THE WRONG WAY
agreed! plus, come on evan...youtube is a community as well and i understand some comments are silly, but others not so much. i guess i won't post anymore comments moving forward.
Keep up the great work Evan, as someone who also has know idea what they are doing I've learned so much about modifying cars from watching your videos. Looking forward to seeing you start this Evo up for the first time :)!
It’s very humble to show the world your mistakes. Having the ability to edit out mistakes and choosing to let the world see your flaws is a great characteristic .
Ben Phillips why not put up some videos and do better ? I mean your comment doesn’t scream ignorance . Judging someone based on all of the experience you have on the subject.
Wow. Chill. We love see u work. No one is perfect. We all do mistakes. We all got haters but they should make us stop doing what we love. Anyways, I personally love your work Evan. Keep it up...
i respect that you film and dont edit out your mistakes!! just remember google is your Best Friend! forums are packed with info. also just look up how to instal a 3 port boost controler youll figure it out.
Ben Phillips "Do it all" the past what? 4 videos? Have been him completely putting in the turbo kit, also the videos with the fuel system? Hes having a shop do the fab work he doesnt have the tools to do.
I love your videos because you like to learn and do things yourself instead of just paying people to do it all for you and then just seeing the end result! Way more fun to learn and do it yourself!
I don't know if you're going to read this Evan but everyone makes mistakes even the experts at one time where beginners and somebody taught them how you're like everyone else everyone makes mistake and if they say they never did their lying. Just keep what you're doing to enjoy it your are guinea pig you let us know what to do if it's wrong or right I'd rather have you do it this way and learn from the mistakes that you do I appreciate everything you do again thank you keep up the good work
Dont worry about the haters man, half the fun of being car enthusiast is actually working on your car, learning what works, what doesnt and being proud of what you accomplish. keep it up!👍
My automotive teacher always tell me everyone make mistake and everyone don’t get something the first time.. so keep documenting your life I will keep watching and keep making mistakes so when I’m working on my car I don’t make that mistake people be so freaking ignorant smh
I honestly love your content i watch it everyday even when I go to school and the evo is one of my favorite cars. Honestly do you man. Keep up the good work👌🏼
You're doing great Evan!! The Evo is coming together nicely. Don't listen to the haters, you're doing awesome and trust installing all the turbo bits takes a lot of time trust! I went turbo on my NA car haha
For all the people that say that he doesn't know what he's doing. He admitted that and he is trying to learn and I guarantee you that he's done more to his cars that all you have, so just let him learn and also people are also learning how to do these kind of things to their car.
I love ur channel but its hard for me to watch sometimes when you start complaing. You live an awesome life just enjoy it and don't worry bout what everyone else is doing
Great job! Evan dont forget you need a boost controller (GET a Grimmspeed) boost controller. You also have evom OR evoxforums to reference your installs.
Look the problem is that you need someone like Ethan again, Tj has mickey and you need someone that knows what they are doing so you don't mess up simple things... Also stop being so arrogant
Isaac Pittman thank you. I’m in no way hating on Evan because I want to love his channel. But a lot of things people say, I read there comments and I can’t even disagree.
But Evan we the true fans love you as a person an you are awesome tyvm for helping me to learn to cope with my ADHD. My weakness became my greatest strength. Even if you don't read this i know you appreciate us your true fans. Wish i could afford to sponsor you monthly
turn your uicp to intercooler clamps facing forward so u can tighten through the grill. when the uicp blows off or leaks at coupler it saves time from pulling bumper
Built not bought has to come from the learning experience. No one is an expert at everything. Keep doing your thing evan. Its great watching videos where you realize an error and correct it.
Don't worry man your in the experimental stage, no one is perfect. The way I see comments is that if they know you don't look at them, they will hate more because they think they can get away with it or because they are jealous. The UA-camrs I know that reply to comments usually get more positive ones. If people know you will answer, they will usually leave more positive comments because they know you're there. Actually hoping to get recognized by a "celeberty" and get likes or pinned♥️ anyways that's my opinion 🤣
The center of a turbo is the turbo. Everything around it is the housing cold/hot. You should only have to clock the turbo if the oil feed/return lines are in a weird spot. Other than that rotating the cold side should be all you need.
u can also install bov vacuum line closer to the front of the engine. follow the alluminum tube forward 8 inches where you have the bov vacuum line connected to the engine and disconnect it from there and use the other vacuum line and just plug it into the bov
12:19 that vacuum line is for your oil catch can it’s a line for blow by on my car it connects back into the intake but when you upgrade intakes usually it doesn’t have anything to go in. So what you can do it feed it to a catch can
I know there are a lot of haters haha, always will be no matter what. I'm enjoying your videos a lot, especially considering I'm a 16 year old subaru owner who is highly interested in EVO's now. Keep doing you man
I get the same thing when I'm working on my bike people say I don't no what I'm doing but I'm enjoying what I'm doing and it's not your motorbike or concern
Most big turbo kits dont have a place to route your bypass valve so you have to convert to full atmospheric bov. Thats what i did with my big turbo kit.
Go ahead and remove that OEM boost control solenoid, throw it in the trash and buy a 3-port solenoid. 1 line from the solenoid will plumb into the wastegate, 1 other will plumb in to the compressor housing (which you called the turbine housing.) The third one can be left open or plumbed back into the intake if it has fitting for it, if not it can just vent to atmosphere. There's a diagram that comes with every 3 port that tells you where each vacuum line plumbs in to. They are usually labeled 1, 2, and 3 on the ports. You should try paying more attention to detail when taking things apart. That way you won't be questioning about how things go back together. Just my 2 cents.
With what you said about not knowing what you're doing. Get a qualified mechanic to look over your work once you're finished. And don't be afraid to ask for help. There is no shame in that.
Hey I think that spring is preload. (It is on mine) on mine the top outside spins to choose between each side. Yours might be different tho. Just a thought.
@:10sec "NYC was Busy And STINKY!!" I was born and raised in NYC still live and work here. It's remarks like that that gets you negative comments Bud. If you didn't like NYC then just say you didn't like it. Don't make disparaging remarks like it's STINKY. Then you wonder why you get negative comments. LOL LOL LOL. Unbelievable. MILLIONS of tourists come here yearly from all over the WORLD!! How many tourists come to whatever city in Texas you live! LOL
You can run the gfb diverted valve as a blow off you just need to put the block off plate on the side with the horn which came with the valve.. also get rid of the plastic valve cover or you're going to have a melty boy..
Why does everyone hate so much just watch the damn video all the way through and don’t judge everyone has the flaws that’s what being a human is it’s just as easy to hate on someone than it is to support someone even if they don’t know what there doing
I'm not sure with evo, but with Subaru 3 port ebcs 1 It T's off and goes to turbo and top port of wastegate. 2 goes to bot to port on wastegate and 3 would go to turbo inlet hose on the intake portion. Hope it helps not sure if it will
only re-subscribed because of the evo. you are on the right track with the evo. just confused with a few of your parts. nonetheless it will be a quick car.
Evan. How about, a five three stencil, and spraying it on the intercooler? Nice little touch
ReeceHeananUA-cam welp he doesn’t read the comments
That logo is gay any ways
Some chicken leg scratch design by a little kid tbh
Pretty sure the logo is very similar to the Undftd logo
TurboSpool you sounds like some loser who never amounted shit in life you’re here talking shit on UA-cam...
put a gasket on your turbo, you're going to have boost leaks because you forgot that. Also you installed your turbo studs incorrectly.
Sharing your journey of building the car is what makes it enjoyable, IMO.
He means on twitter, he said that a while back
Tweet him this before he destroys everything
But be careful, he is quick to block people on twitter... Speaking from experience
Don't had twitter, ah well he can make another video about losing a turbo and blaming the company that makes the kit.
agreed! plus, come on evan...youtube is a community as well and i understand some comments are silly, but others not so much. i guess i won't post anymore comments moving forward.
9:45 Starting to think you're jealous of "your boy" Tj hunt with that subtle shade
Keep up the great work Evan, as someone who also has know idea what they are doing I've learned so much about modifying cars from watching your videos. Looking forward to seeing you start this Evo up for the first time :)!
Not knowing what your doing is when you learn the most👍 so don't worry bro. That what makes the channel the best on UA-cam.
It’s very humble to show the world your mistakes. Having the ability to edit out mistakes and choosing to let the world see your flaws is a great characteristic .
There is a difference between humility and ignorance.. I'll let you decide which he is showing
Ben Phillips why not put up some videos and do better ? I mean your comment doesn’t scream ignorance . Judging someone based on all of the experience you have on the subject.
Not just to the world but to Jesus Christ the Lord and savior
Wow. Chill. We love see u work. No one is perfect. We all do mistakes. We all got haters but they should make us stop doing what we love.
Anyways, I personally love your work Evan. Keep it up...
This is why I enjoy watching your channel! No BS
i respect that you film and dont edit out your mistakes!! just remember google is your Best Friend! forums are packed with info. also just look up how to instal a 3 port boost controler youll figure it out.
I fully support hands on learning. you cant learn new things if you let someone else do it for you. Keep up the good work my friend!!!!
But he is letting a shop do it all.. so how is that hands on?
Ben Phillips "Do it all" the past what? 4 videos? Have been him completely putting in the turbo kit, also the videos with the fuel system? Hes having a shop do the fab work he doesnt have the tools to do.
Too bad he isn't going to see this positive comment
Man don’t mind the negativity. Not only are you learning but you are also helping others such as myself learn. Keep up the awesome videos!!!!
I live my life like Evan building his evo. Idk what I’m doing but I’m enjoying every minute of it. I make mistakes but fix em as I go about my life.
Kyle Zimmerman the other half of the fun is talking shit :-)
I like that you show that you mess up and document everything cause as your learning we are learning. Keep up the good videos.
My automotive teacher always tell me everyone make mistake and everyone don’t get something the first time.. so keep documenting your life I will keep watching and keep making mistakes so when I’m working on my car I don’t make that mistake people be so freaking ignorant smh
I never hated on you because even before the build you said this was a learning experience keep up the good work
I honestly love your content i watch it everyday even when I go to school and the evo is one of my favorite cars. Honestly do you man. Keep up the good work👌🏼
5:30 The center section of the turbo is called the CHRA, Center Housing Rotating Assembly.
You definitely need a block off plate if you’re changing it to VTA, it’s closed now but it does open and close.(which makes the awesome psht sounds)
Absolutely love this style of video, feels more real
Almost done. Just keep working hard. It’s almost there 👌🏾🔥
Love the videos , motivates me to work harder and focus on my own builds , love the advice and honestly these are the most amazing videos on UA-cam !!
Sorry I can't give you advice or anything but I just wanted to say I really enjoy the videos you produce and I appreciate the time you put into them
Good on you Evan for just smashing on with the big turbo build on your own! It’s going to be an animal!
Exactly bro everyone will learn at there own time and pace so just keep doing you
You're doing a good job dude don't let the haters hate. You got to learn how to do it someway and you learn best by screwing up
You're doing great Evan!!
I love the turbo build thanks Evan!
Don't worry about the haters Evan, not knowing but still attempting something is how ya learn!
Love the choice of music!! Keep doing you man
Do your homework and read before even touching a wrench. That alone will go along way.
Man screw the negative comments your learning and having fun so continue doing you evan
This is the car community haters come with the territory bro keep doing you
Always look forward to getting out of class so I can watch the vids 👌🏼 mint.
Imagine calling evan arrogant
But Evan we the true fans love you as a person an you are awesome tyvm for helping me to learn to cope with my ADHD. My weakness became my greatest strength. Even if you don't read this i know you appreciate us your true fans. Wish i could afford to sponsor you monthly
When is he supercharging the jeep?
bruh jeep is gone
Chris Webb there's no more jeep
This is a good meme
Get baited lol
🤣
Those 2 cars are collecting dust in every video. Take it to the track man.
Working on my car, while watching you work on your car. This is fun.
turn your uicp to intercooler clamps facing forward so u can tighten through the grill. when the uicp blows off or leaks at coupler it saves time from pulling bumper

Keep doing your thing evan. Its great watching videos where you realize an error and correct it.
keep doing what you do .keep your head up .
Don’t worry about the haters they only hate when u doing something right or something they don’t have
Continue to be yourself
SirShanks your the goat !

The fun part about cars is figuring stuff out. It’s like a puzzle for adults 👍🏼👍🏼

Remove the hose clamp on the BOV vacuum line and replace it with a black ziptie. Just as effective but looks so much cleaner.
Evan's viewers respect him a lot more now lol
I know there are a lot of haters haha, always will be no matter what. I'm enjoying your videos a lot, especially considering I'm a 16 year old subaru owner who is highly interested in EVO's now. Keep doing you man
I get the same thing when I'm working on my bike people say I don't no what I'm doing but I'm enjoying what I'm doing and it's not your motorbike or concern
tanis nedic working on whatever it is you love is half the fun. Cars, guns, women, computers, sports, etc etc.
The little pipe coming off the intercooler piping is where ur blowoff valve goes
Most big turbo kits dont have a place to route your bypass valve so you have to convert to full atmospheric bov. Thats what i did with my big turbo kit.
Lol I remember when I was installing my intercooler bpv and ebcs and took me awhile to figure out all the vacuum lines
Daily grind. Can't wait to continue working on my evo x and my 911 turbo. Hot side my friend. I run ams stuff on the X
You aren’t dumb, you are a smart sessi boy 😂😂😂
Daddy got a haircut!!!

Looks good Evan!
Replace headlights right now easier since bumper is off already.
Very good my boy Evan keep up and love video 💯
Center of the turbo is the CHRA center cartridge.
Evan: “I don’t read comments”
Also Evan: “I need your help”
Lol😂 Love ya man
With what you said about not knowing what you're doing.

Hey I think that spring is preload. (It is on mine) on mine the top outside spins to choose between each side. Yours might be different tho. Just a thought.
Wastegate line typically goes to turbo nipple to actuate wastegate my dude
"I dont read comments" but then he ask for help and for us to leave it in the comment below......WTF really lol really
Mr. Saephan I was just about to type this
Mr. Saephan don't forget, as he said "people are inherently rude"
Your such a fucking hater dud
He don’t read the comments but want his videos to have a lot of comments so he ask random shit
Bruh
You need a block off plate for the diverter then you’ll be golden
@:10sec "NYC was Busy And STINKY!!" I was born and raised in NYC still live and work here. It's remarks like that that gets you negative comments Bud. You got a Cool Engine
We understand evan👍🏼👍🏼
My suggestion is to clean up all the wiring in the engine bay, it would look sickkkk
Love the edit❤️🤘🏽
Daily Vlogs Are Back Bayyyyybaaayy
Does this kit have any documentation?
I went with an ets kit on my evo x build but mine brought another pipe that ran back to the intake with fittings to fit the other lines
dude i love you
i hate all you negative ppl in the comments go somewhere my god
sick dude
You should have a Bov flange welded on the actually piping and get rid of the silicone coupling for bov. IMO looks very cheap and rigged.
Think ur doing great job keep it up :)
You just need a Mickey in your life to teach you
Love the new music
only re-subscribed because of the evo. you are on the right track with the evo. just confused with a few of your parts. nonetheless it will be a quick car.
