    When using Razer, it's important to remember that the majority of the cost comes from the brand name... Although it may have quality, one does not get as much for their money as with other brands.

      In terms of shit like slippers and these cringe ass finger things or whatever they are called, they do indeed have that retarded apple vibe, but when it comes to real shit like keyboards, mice and headphones, there is truly no competitor. I have had a deathadder elite since the day of its release, not once did i have a bug with it or something. That is 5 years of high quality gaming with 0 signs of wearing down. • @davidtheawesomeone5358
      @davidtheawesomeone5358 2 роки тому

      Well, if you look at it from a design aspect, there isn't much they can do about it. Lets say, when you are Razer, and you shove a 11th gen i9 and a rtx 3080 in a f*cking laptop, less than an inch thick and under 5 lbs in weight, made of a single piece of Alu, ofc you are going to have cooling issues! Even with their massive vapor chambers, cooling even the lighter tier models is a PITA. and LiPo and LiIon batts don't like getting hot, especially for long, and having an alu case, means all the heat that isn't being cooled properly is getting dispersed in the case, and to the battery. So with their current design challenges, well its a hard issue to solve, without getting rid of essential aspects of the brand. Correct me if I am wrong though.

    • @mjbakedbeans
      @mjbakedbeans 2 роки тому +3

      @@davidtheawesomeone5358 Having a 3080 doesn't mean much. The 3080 and 3070 both run at 100W. That's what's important, they should out put very similar levels of heat. My point is that these are known for battery swelling. I get batteries swell but I haven't seen it at a rate like this. And for these devices to carry a premium and require a new battery after a year is unacceptable.

    • @davidtheawesomeone5358
      @davidtheawesomeone5358 2 роки тому

      @@mjbakedbeans all i mean is that with creating that much heat, and the aluminum chassis transferring that waste heat to the battery speeds up swelling. And it dosent always go bad. One major reason for them to die so quick is most razer gamers, well don't travel for shit, and leave their laptops plugged in 24/7. When you rarely cycle your battery like that and the heat that's put into the battery, well it wears it out quite quickly. My blade from 2016is still going with its original batt just fine, and if I am doing light loads I can even get it to 6 hours. Same with my 2017 blade stealth, original battery and no swelling and great battery life still. Its not always the case, and sometimes it does swell even with proper care, but again, Razer can only do so much.

    I recently used the Black friday sales to upgrade some of my gear. I already had a Razer Blackwidow from last year's sale which (I feel) is amazing, and was a definite upgrade from the mem-chanical piece of junk I had before. Someone who's built their own keyboard to perfection and knows every in and out of it will probably throw up trying to type on it. But for me, it's been nothing but amazing. And after upgrading my mouse as well, mostly because I already had the keyboard and was tired of having 25 different manufaturers' software installed, I've been nothing but happy with the experience. It is in a sense like apple in that way, in that you buy into the brand, and into the 'ecosystem', at least for the whole chroma-shabang. To use the words of our soon-to-be-overlord God Howard; ''It just works'', and that's what the majority of the consumer market wants it to do.

    The thing about razer from what I feel (my opinion/ guess) is that it’s not very big now but in 10-20 years time they’re going to expand so, so much that they’re going to go last Logitech, and you’ll be able to buy separate components from razer when building a pc. (Not just cpu coolers, psu’s and cases) in 10 years time the gaming industry is going to sky rocket, and as long as razer keep up with the demand, and kinda go with what the gamers want, they will sky rocket too. But at the moment they’re an amazing brand that aren’t pushing themselves far enough. Take this for example: their mice (mouse mice same thing) they’re amazing mice but compared to Logitech they might have some advantages over them but they haven’t got a grasp over them. There isn’t 10 different reasons that you can name, that makes them stand out. They focus on small details too much, or un necessary things such as dpi being 20,000 dpi. Nobody needs 20,000 dpi, but Logitech have it so they make it happen, they are too busy trying to compete with Logitech to focus on the future right now. They need to forget about Logitech and try to make something new, something that will shock people, something that is so out there, but in the best possible way, that razer will sky rocket. For example instead of making something that has already been done, eg the phone thing that turns the phone into a mini switch, make a thing that’s completely new. The reason razer isn’t becoming as big I guess you could say “the face of gaming” is because they haven’t yet made something stand out compared to all the other gaming brands. They haven’t made a monitor that reaches 550 hz refresh rate gaming monitor, they haven’t made their own cpu, gpu, ram, and all the other things needed to make a custom pc. But give it time I think they will. Eventually

    I had my PSU die on my 3090 rig, so I got a Blade 17 with a 11th gen i7/3070(130w) to use while waiting for upgrades and the new PSU to come in; and it kind of surprised me. The noise, cooling, performance (within reason, mind you!)-- much better than the alienware and the MSI I tried out. It was just under 2600 US, and as a temp desktop replacement for streaming FFXIV? I honestly have no real complaints other than abysmal battery life-- but you don't buy a machine like this for that lmao. Backlight bleed on the 1440p screen is kind of bad, but that's just IPS display lottery for you. Yeah, if you can justify the Razer price hike (the MSI similarly spec'd was ~$500 cheaper, but less sturdy feeling & much louder) its worth it. If not, there are plenty of good options. ^^

    Razer laptops = high quality with some minor flaws (2020 Razer Blade 15 Basic RTX 2060 16gb ram Intel i7-10750h). As many of the comments have said and Austin, the CNC chassis is great, but still has some flaws. The thermals are good when brand new, but the fans have to be cleaned every year or sooner due to dust and with it being such a small frame. Some fasteners to hold the lid down use plastic instead threading into the metal frame, so the brass inserts break and the plastic holding it down are do good. On the topic of the fan, they put warranty stickers on it and that should be a user serviceable part that shouldn't be warranty voided since you need to clean the fans from dust build up and the heat exchangers need to be brushed. But overall, these are minor and still would buy one again, so far.

      You have the same laptop model that I have, and I love ❤️ it!
      Yes, the fans need some annual or semi-annual cleaning. I usually have my Razer Blade 15 running at home on a table. On the table, I run a desktop fan that I put to the left of the laptop and point it to blow across the laptop to the right. Since the chassis is metal(aluminum), it’s like a laptop heatsink. Having a fan blow air across it really whisks away some of that heat, and the fans don’t spin nearly as much.

    I got my first ever Apple laptop, Air M1. No matter what Razer or any other manufacturer say about their products, I as an owner of 7 laptops from 2009 till 2020 can freely say that none of them will ever have keyboard, speakers, touchpad, screen and most of all quality feel as Apple does.
    I never believed in this till i got my hand on my first iPhone 6 months ago and mentioned Air M1.
    There i said it after being sceptical for so long.
    Not that I am now a hard core fan or something. Things are expensive and everything is proprietary but to hell with it, its good.

    No, it's not. But Roccat has really impressed me so far, I can recommend them! Razer has been going for quantity over quality for quite a while, their products still break way earlier than products from other companies. On first glance everything seems nice. Well, until it breaks.

    as somebody with only razer peripherals... I will say 90% of the reason I buy Razer, is because of the chroma ecosystem. Razer has definitely become very apple esc in their pricing & marketing which im not a huge fan of... but the reason to buy an iphone is the ecosystem. Synapse not only has the best RGB customization in my opinion, but it also usually looks the best (also my opinion). I find myself not being able to do what I want with RGB on ANY other products, but Synapse is the first to give me what feels like FULL freedom with RGB, and I love my RGB

    I've used the razer blackwidow 2014 and 2019 editions for the past decade. The keyboard is solidly built and typing feels awesome, the green switches are unmatched in my opinion. But they do come with problems. My 2014 edition would have the R key and the B key stick and just continuously type until i hit it again, and the 2019 edition has the same problem but with the Volume wheel instead of the keys themselves. The volume wheel is actually the worst one on ANY keyboard. The reason they're worth it to me is I got both versions on Black Friday for some incredible deals. I will say though, I have NEVER had problems with their Deathadder and Naga mice and both I use interchangeably

    I had a razer blade stealth that in less then 3 years is now dead , 2 batteries replaced because of bulging and replaced a fan , my first asus lasted 8 years no problems so going back to Asus. The shop i had it looked at wouldn't even offer to fix it (dead mother board) and only way to get that mother board was used thru ebay not worth it at all unless under warranty.

    Great video, but I wish you'd have compared models with similar specs from other major gaming manufacturers to show the same specs for lower price points but maybe less 'premium' keyboard/shell/hardware for comparison

    I got the new RTX 3070 Razer Blade 14 AND I LOVE IT!!! I seriously can not believe how much power and performance I get in a tiny 14" laptop!! CoD Vanguard runs at an average of 130fps @1440p, mostly high settings with DLSS set to balanced. Its amazing and worth every penny if you're a college student who needs a portable laptop that can blow your friend's mid-range PCs out the water.

    Those razer finger sleeve things are actual products that alot of mobile gamers use. Alot of people don't want their screen dirty from all the sweat that they produce from countless hours of pressing/sliding/tapping on the same glass screen. The problem is that you can get like 15pairs (so like 30 pieces) for the same price of one pair of Razer finger sleeves which is Completely unreasonable since each sleeve looses durability fairly quickly. Almost disposable in a sense.

    I bought a Blade Stealth 13 while it was on sale last year, and in general, it's nice.
    I also bought a Nari Ultimate headset last month, and the left side was quieter than the right when the volume dial on the earcup was set at less than 100%. I had it replaced - exactly the same issue with the replacement.
    Whenever I hear from others of products failing, invariably they're made by Razer.
    I won't be buying any of their stuff again any time soon.

    Apple laptops are worth the price they last long as compared to razer laptops . i bought brand new razer base rtx 3060 laptop for 2300 usd , on booting up the laptop within 3-8 minutes the whole laptop was getting hella hot for no reason and the battery lasted for barely 2 hours on standby and when u start doing simple task 1 hour only . I made many complains, in the end support advised me to return the laptop . I asked ppl on Reddit for solution turned out i was not the only person facing these issues.

    Razer is pretty good. I've had my 2018 blade 15 base for 4 years now and it's ran pretty well. The ssd died on it and they wouldn't help me out with it but I wanted an upgrade anyway and slapped a Samsung ssd in and it's worked really well since then. I like what he said about bang for the buck. Razer gives you the premium feel, design, and overpriced aspects of Apple but for windows

    Love Razer, own almost a fully razer laptop (desktop similar) setup at home. Other than my monitor (cuz razer's is literally 3x's the pricer per performance) and my headset (if its not broken, dint fix it). My only wish is that they made a thicker, better cooled, still premium looking variant of their laptops. It sucks buying a $2,700 laptop not realizing every part of it is undervolted for cooling instead of profornence. It also sucks seeing other laptops at the same price point with higher wattage or even better base components for the same price and not even running that much hotter because they are thicker with better cooling. Love razer, haven't had too many issues, but for the reason above I'm actually looking at getting a different laptop in the future because I care about performance and why get a razer when I could get possibly 10 more fps for the same exact price elsewhere. Not a bad machine and love the feeling of it, just not as good as I originally thought after being educated after the fact.

    So how about that razor chair you were sitting in? We never got to hear anything about it. How much is it? Is it comfortable? How much assembly required? I understand if you were focusing on the laptop but since you were actually sitting in one of the chairs I thought it said at least I’ve been mentioned.

    All of my accessories are Razer... I don't typically buy myself stuff very often but when I do. It's usually expensive. But with that. My DeathStalker Ultimate I've had for 10 years. My older mouse was still working when I replaced it and was 6 years old. Wanted to upgrade for the Trinity for the switch plates. That is about 2-3 years old so far. Nari Ultimate headphones are 2-3 years old too only replaced because it was wireless. My accessories headphone stand, wireless charger, etc are also razer lol. Which is nice because of the RGB integration is simple and easy for ASUS compatibility. It also has tons of other Integeations with other lighting brands if I do mix match a little down the road.
