This is a huge hit in our home. My hubby asks for this dressing now and that is huge as he is just working on going plant based and sos free. Thanks for this wonderful recipe! Linda Hardesty
That is wonderful 👏👏👏👏❤️
Hi, where is the link for that garlic powder please? Thank you
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow Hi Jill. In the video you'd mentioned that you were going to add the link for the onion powder that you use. However, I do not see it. May I have the link please? Thank you. 😊
Finding healthy dressings that don’t taste like garbage is probably my biggest obstacle to vegan eating
I hear you. Sooooo many bad ones out there 🥴
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow Sometimes its easiest to find a good base and then just adjust to taste. I love to use your garlic lemon tahini dressing as a base and then add whatever I fancy for the week. Subbing half of the garlic for minced ginger, adding a little soy sauce or liquid aminos and then using orange instead of lemon was really yummy last week.
I like making a vegan green garlic dressing as a base. I use 1/3 C soaked cashews.
I just made this one and (with a little salt) like it a LOT :)
My issue with them is....they are RUNNY.
I love 3 2 1 dressing 3 parts balsamic vinegar, 2 parts mustard, 1 part maple syrup mix together enjoy!
great recipe, thank you
Thank you for sharing this!
What type of mustard?
@@psb12121 Dijon mustard, but you can also use yellow. BTW, this 3-2-1 recipe is not from this channel. It comes from Dr. Esselstyn's daughter, Jane. She has her own channel (search using her full name) where her mom, Ann, helps her create recipes out of the Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease cookbook (and others that support that lifestyle). They're really cute together. Their channel is similar to this one, though, I find their food a little bland at times.
Does the mustard have oil, or sweetener, or distilled white vinegar? Tks.
Thanks for sharing this vegan salad dressing. I have not made it as of my comments. This is the first UA-cam video that had reasonably priced ingredients that are hard to find. I am 66 years, four months and 20 days of my comments. I will be making this to put on my salads. Thanks for reading my comments. Smiles
I just discovered that drizzling this on boiled or baked little gold potatoes is super yummy! Extra fresh ground pepper on top and I am very satisfied!
As a ranch lover who has been searching for a good ranch dressing, I can say this is amazing! By far the best ranch dressing I've tried.
I can't wait to try this with the children I work with!
Love it! Same, thanks for the confirmation!
So happy that I found you again. At the beginning of my start of this journey. Thank you
My all purpose dressing is two parts apple cider vinegar, one part soy sauce, one part lemon juice. No fat, no sugar. This ranch looks excellent also.
That sounds good, thanks for the suggestion!
Absolutely love this salad dressing. I use oat milk instead of soya and lemon juice instead of vinegar.
Never thought about adding oatmeal to act as a thickener instead of cornstarch. Much healthier alternative. Added a teaspoon of nutritional yeast and it was so so good. Thank you ❤️
Making it for the first time today. I had thought of the yeast when I first saw this but almost forgot. So will try it. Thanks
I've been a cannabis advocate in GA for around 40 years and was delighted when the little video snippet of the hemp blowing in the wind. Thank you for promoting one of the world's best food sources. Now...to try the recipe.
This is the first recipe of yours that I've made so far. I used parsley and all spice instead of dill. It's now my favorite!! My pantry is stocked for many more recipes. You make cooking enjoyable!!
I love it when you go to the table and enjoy your food. Makes me smile.
Your four year transformation is awesome. You look so healthy.
I just made this tonight. Before I was even done, my husband came in the kitchen asking about what smelled so good. It is delicious. All the flavors blended together and the creamy texture. So good, thank you. And I love your show.
Made this the other day with a few modifications based on what I had on hand. I added a small shallot (plus the onion powder), steel cut oats, increased the dried dill and used rice wine vinegar. It thickened up by the next day so diluted it with a bit of water. SO GOOD. A great base for a variety of flavours.
I tried this tonight, I love it!
I had to substitute the white wine vinegar with rice vinegar; the rolled oats with steel cut oats; the soy milk for oat milk; and the raisins with dates. It still came out fantastic! I put it over some dinosaur kale with chopped tomato and avocado then I drizzled on the dressing and topped with some roasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds. 😋 THANK YOU JILL!!!
I was just thinking the same. I have all the ingredients you mentioned, so I’ll try this today. Thanks a bunch for the tip 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.
Thank you for doing all of these salad dressing recipes! My husband loves ranch dressing but since getting off of dairy he doesn't like the commercial brands anymore and I've been trying to come up with a whole food plant-based version he likes. I know you were trying to go nut free with this but we don't have any nut allergies and there's something about mixing soy milk and garlic that just doesn't taste right to me. So I substituted the seeds for cashew nuts and substituted the soy milk for Natural Nliss Plant-based Half-and-half (almond milk & coconut milk). He loved it! I really like it on kale. I pressure cooked some kale and put it in the fridge. Being lazy one day I decided to just eat it cold and then I put some of this ranch dressing on it...OMG good! Now I have this just about every day!
Yes! Yes! Yes! It is impossible to find good and healthy oil free salad dressings! This is exactly what I need! Please do more dressing videos. 😊
Thank you Jill. Great series. Love all your videos and recipes.
Thank you for the salad dressing series. To answer your question, how about Green Goddess dressing & a veganized Honey Mustard dressing. My old recipe (besides the honey) called for real mayonnaise, mustard & spices. I miss that dressing a lot. Love your channel; thank you!!
****Just found your Honey Mustard dressing/video! Yay! I can’t wait to make this today!! Looking forward to your Green Goddess dressing, & the Asian style dressings others have requested. 🌱👏🌱👏🌱👏🌱
Nailed it again Jill! You have great knowledge about the characteristics of the food stuffs and nutrition. I am a big fan! xx
I made this yesterday, just had it today it thicken up nicely it was DELISH,
We are enjoying this dressing every day...so delicious and healthy! Thank you! Blessings! ~

Thank you Jill I love ranch dressing and this one looks so simple and cost effective. I also love a long forgotten green goddess dressing. Your hair looks beautiful
Awwwee , thank you Marie 🤗
Amazing dressing!!! Thank you thank you!!!
Wonderful, and one of my favorites. Thank you.
This sounds yummy and yay! for the braid. So professional and tidy. Looks great.
Fantastic recipe! Cannot wait to try the rest of them. Good job!!!
Just starting my WFPB journey! This answers my question about salads and dressings! Thank you so much! Great video ❤️❤️❤️
This dressing looks amazing!! I'm definitely trying it!! Thank you!
Love this.
I am looking for a large amount of onion dip for my husband. I believe if he had that he would eat raw vegetables at night with the dip.
First episode I've watched and I'm hooked!!!
Omgosh! This dressing is amazing! It tastes so fresh and delicious!!!
Love it! Thank you soooooo much ! 🌷I am so thankful I found your channel!
Jill, you look like a modern day Rapunzel with your braid... I love it. And the dressing too! Big fan in Calif.
Definitely going to give this one a try. Thanks!
Thank you for all your wonderful advice on eating WFPB , I have followed you for years
I can’t wait to try the Ranch dressing. I would love to see a lemon poppyseed dressing💖💕Before I went vegan I used store bought dressing with cabbage for a quick and easy coleslaw, or tossed with raw broccoli, raisins, slivered carrots, & almonds. Great when chilled for a summer salad. A dupe for Applebee’s Oriental salad dressing to reduce the sugar,, or their Maple dressing they offered with sweet potato fries now discontinued ☹️ I bet it would be great on a sweet roll, or for desserts too!😋
I'm new at this whole food diet for health reasons. One of the things I've been looking for are oil free dressings. I'm glad I found your channel. I want more like this. Please...
The best ranch I have had, thank you so much for the recipe!!
Can’t wait to try! Love your recipes
Wow!!! This is the best vegan ranch dressing that I have actually enjoyed! Thanks for the recipe. Salad has been a long lost friend and now I can enjoy them again.
This looks delicious & I'm trying it soon! I tell everyone I can about your show. Thank you for so many wonderful oil-free recipes while still including great plant-based fats. Wishing you and your family a great new year and happy Veganuary!
Thank you Simple Slow Life! I looooove your title! You have a wonderful Veganuary too. =)
This is so good! I’ve tried many of the WFPB SOS-free ranch dressings and haven’t truly liked any- till now! 😊 Thanks for all your work. ❤
… Now that was a great dressing recipe… Lots of good tips… And no taste test except your own… Thank you and the thumbs up.
Raisins - good idea for a sweetener! Thank you.
The salad and the dressing looks delicious I'm gonna make it
I made this a few days ago and it was delicious!!
Never knew much about hemp so I never tried it. I do like the stuff you put in this recipe so looks like I’m gonna have to get me some hemp seeds! Would love a 1000 island or a country French, ya know, the really red orange one. My husband loves that one. Great video Jill! TFS!
Need to try this recipe out - looks amazing!
Thank you for the recipe I will be trying soon
Made this today, yummers! Thank you.
Hemp seeds are going on the shopping list! That looks delicious.
Would love to see a sesame ginger dressing.
galoalvez27 I agree sesame dressing is my favorite can’t wait to see one🥰
Me too!
Yes please!
That would be lovely!
that sounds good
Thank you. I'm going to try this.
thank you so much!!! This was delicious! Really delicious.
Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe! I just made a double batch to see how well it freezes. I used fewer raisins on my second attempt. Also I had cooked oat kernels in my fridge and they work too. Other than that the major flaw of this heavenly concoction is my desire to eat it without the salad... It is soo yummy!
This is incredible....didn't have dill so used 3 tsp of epicure garlicky dill and omitted the garlic. Also used oat milk instead of soy but it was still great. Got a little bit thicker but still worked great. I am new to plant based and so glad I found you.....thank you!
Wow! I just tried this recipe. Delicious! 😋
Really good! Thank you !
made this tonight and it’s sooo good! thank you so much…. i can finally have lots of salads now!!!!!
Yes! Cannot wait to try it!
I keep making this and I totally love it. Tfs
Whole foods makes a carrot ginger miso maybe not the miso part but a carrot ginger dressing that I like but it's got oil in it so if you can come up with something to replace that it would be awesome!
I'm going to try this recipe tonight after work!!
That salad dressing looks yummy! I will try it soon!
Thanks for sharing this, excited to try
I am so totally trying this dressing!!!

I love your little dance upon tasting the dressing! ☺️ I would’ve done the same! I used to love love ranch dressing as a teen and throughout my 20s. I can’t believe there’s one out there that actually makes you dance! 😉 I am definitely trying this 🙏🏽

Just tried this. I added a little salt and like it a lot ❤️
i am going to try this right now !!! thanks
I made this dressing today , taste great , thanks
I am so happy this came through my feed today. By the way happy New Year’s. I have been hopeful plant-based for almost 5 years now. And I still have not found a salad dressing that I am willing to use. So unfortunately I don’t eat salad anymore unless it’s on a sandwich or in a wrap. So I’m hoping that maybe one or more of the recipes in this new series will be something that I will enjoy 😊
Looks so good!
That’s the brand of hempseeds I use. So yummy!! Sometimes I take hempseed and pour nooch on top and just eat it like that.
This is a delicious dressing omg!!!! I just made it and its delicious and salt to taste, its great!
Love this dressing! On my second try, I made it less sweet (I'm more into the savory). But your recipes are AWESOME! So nice to find oil free salad dressings for my transition to WFPB! Thank you!
Looks delicious dressing!
Mouth watering😋
Happy New Year from japan.
Looks GREAT, Jill!!!!! I really missed dressings when I switched to WFPB. This one is a keeper!
This is sooo good!
Wow, looks so good, thanks . HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020.
Love your videos are so relaxing 🥺😍♥️ while learning to cook a healthy vegan lifestyle 🥰♥️
Subscribed 👍 I can't wait to try this out
Looks amazing 👏😍
This is tasty as all get out. Thanks so much. I think I'll be able to get my husband to eat salad again.
You understand me. Thank you for this video!
I just made this yesterday. I LOVE it! I did substitute dates for raisins though, and learned that just a bit will do or else it will be too sweet.
Thank you for the recipe! 😊
And I also sub'd plain almond milk for soy.
How much date did you use?
Love your braid.
Just made this today and can't believe I have never made this before. This is a keeper. Irene McDonald
Do glad you like it Irene ❤️
this is amazing recipe.. second time i made it is even better.. cheers and thanks
Love this recipe! Hemp seeds and oats - these make for a yummy thick dressing :)
Made this just now. It is very good. It's a tad too sweet but that's just my preference. I will use 1 TB of raisins next time. I had some fresh organic dill and used that instead. Turned it a beautiful green. Very delish. I am letting it set p tonight and I will have a big salad tomorrow. Thanks for this recipe! Love hemp seeds!
