Again, awesome brother. Just a small suggestion maybe put an episode number in the title so people can follow it in order. Good to see someone going full chad with the MP9 as a true Tarkov player would. Looking forward to the next one. :)
Haha, smg's are my jam on Tarkov until we hit the 1M meta rifle build parts of the wipe. I had to quit that game though, major time sink and the cheating was getting out of hand. Good suggestion, I was planning on adding episode numbers when I drop the next one.
The issue you had with your scope not working with your night vision is a toggleable in the mod configuration menu. I believe it's in Beef's NVG or shader scopes. Just toggle it and They will play nice together. Anyhow, your style of narration and editing are incredibly charming for Stalker Gamma. I found myself watching and being immersed enough that I lost track of my own time. There are a lot of moments in stalker where you are just alone with your thoughts, and your commentary during those moments really feels nice. Just letting your thoughts out in a way that feels incredibly thematic with the content itself. These past two Gamma videos have been a real treat. Part tutorial as you figure things out, part exploration of your unique journey in game, and part just your own feelings and opinions. The editing is also vert tight, constantly keeping me interested. I think the formulae you've used here really works, So yeah. These are great.
Wow thank you for such a nice and thoughtful comment! I do try my best to share my experience, it's not too difficult since most of the narrative is kind of how I play these kind of games in my head anyways lol. I'll look into that scope setting, it wasn't a big deal, but I'm sure later on it will be. Thanks again, really appreciate it!
im loving these long videos because im new myself to stalker gamma but im doing ironman and im enjoying watching someone else be as confused as me on some things like the crafting
Thanks! I wanna try an ironman and souls like run when I'm better at the game lol. The crafting always catches me off guard, I understand it but then I'll forget all about it anyways.
@@NostalgicAscent I thought the same thing! i was playing a normal run but i didnt feel as immersed for some reason, but when i switched to ironman i played alot slower and took my time to learn everything about the game slowly without just save scumming everything by spamming saves
@@jinandthefridge2910 Yeah I get that, I'm playing slow anyways with the difficulty cranked up. I try to only save at campfires, but disabled the mod. I crash every so often when exiting the PDA for some reason, don't feel like getting upset over that one time I don't save for an hour lol
I like the music you put in the beginning, what is that? Some pointers: 1. You should use HP and HS rounds for mutants and no armor guys (like zombies and other stalkers with no helmets). The zombie ghost is tanky, but he got gunned down by my MP5 with HP 9x19 in two mags. It looked like a new quest in 0.9.3, didn’t get it in 0.9.1 2. Companions can take your commands, hold the “c” button to see the wheel. You can make them wait somewhere far if you don’t want them, can make the go stealthy (they turn off the flashlights that way), make them not shoot anything. 3. Try pressing Alt when looting. It automatically picks up useful stuff very quickly. You can even setup what gets picked up in MDM settings (forgot which mod it was, auto loot something). 4. Don’t bandage twice, it won’t help, will just refresh your bleed control buff. Instead, craft Tourniquets when you have a Drug making kit (you found it later in the video), heals bleeding much faster, and is helpful in a tight spot. 5. Drop the Protecta ASAP, it’s so slow to reload, it led me down a lot of times before. Hope this helps! Started a Merc playthrough, and oh buy I miss easy Cordon cash quests.
@@NostalgicAscentyeah, I noticed later in the video that you know about ammo types, but you can also disassemble other ammo and make those that you need with gunsmithing tools you got from Cold, as well as disassemble explosive cans for powder (saw you selling one to the vendor). You can also pass time with magazines, cards and diaries to skip emissions.
Yeah I know most of them, just either forget in the moment or derp out haha. I always play games as blindly as I can, learning along the way is a big part of the experience. Skip emissions? They're far too cool to do that!
They're basically back to back, all I cut out was tedious stash management and spending far too much time staring at inventory learning the crafting system lol. Thanks though, appreciate it!
btw there IS a stash in the clear sky base. On the side wall of the building the bartender type trader is theres a window with a visible radio on it. the radio is the stash. the hitbox is wonky and the whole thing makes no sense so it might take you a bit of struggle to be able to access it. also horror game recommendation that made me shit my pants recently- Lost in Vivo
Dude I thought so, I cut it out but there was like 20 minutes of me circling that damn bartender area. Oh well lol. Don't think I've heard of that one, definitely gonna look it up! Thanks!
If I remember correctly, if you have a good barrel you can fix up a gun by just dragging and dropping the other parts onto it. Don't know if you know this already, could prove useful.
Yeah it's been streamlined even more from what I remember as well. I tend to get caught up in everything else and forget crafting for long periods of time lol
That horror event was from custom mod. That mission was introduced in gamma. I think that ghost poltergeist damage numbers can be tweaked. I have watched a few of the russian youtubers who killed that thing at point blank range with shotgun. Max three to four shots. The mod is great but the execution in gamma is not. The damage number needs to be dialled down a lot. Also if you played stalker lost alpha, there were few horror events like this. They need to add few more stuff like this.
Yeah I love the idea of it, it just didn't play out in a fun way imo. I'm sure now I'd have less trouble with it, but first experiences are important. I'd like it if instead of one damage sponge they spawned weaker ghosts intermittently throughout the house in a horde like event, or port us to a dark arena room Half Life style to fight them. Tons of ways to improve it really. I've not played Lost Alpha, but I'm totally down for more horror focused events.
@@NostalgicAscent There are more of these horror quests, i personally find them very entertaining and a breath of fresh air, but i'll give you that, this ghost has a little bit too much hp. Good luck with the one in darkscape, i died like 15 times.
pressing c with open companion commands, if you ask for companions to go on stealth they will turn off their headlights, making it easier to see in the dark with night vision
I know its late but for everyone who have problem with horror quest in the swamp - dont try to kill ghost and leave the dog alone. Just hide behind the bed and wait for 2 sec, dog will eat ghost and quest is done. Hope it helps
I thought about that when I was watching the footage back, I'd wondered if maybe the quest mentioned it but was too annoyed to even read it again at that point lol. I'm sure trying it again now wouldn't be so bad, just wanted to share the annoyance in the moment.
@@NostalgicAscent if this was annoying one tip from me: dont ever take Mirage quest from Beard in Zaton. Its the worst quest in history of gaming, and bugged af. Save your mind and dont pick it up. I almost delete gamma from disk because of this.
@@Varrenor Haha, honestly now that I've been informed of the horror mod and experienced the ghost thing, I'll be more forgiving moving forward. I'll still try them out!
Go to MODDB and search anomalous backpack, install it through the mod manager and you're good to go! It'll take a trader reset before you can buy them if you're adding it to a playthrough.
I've changed my keybinds so much, they're a complete mess at this point. So IDK if it's default anymore, but for me it's =. In MCM there should be keybind for changing scope types.

That armsel protectra is a total noob trap. The drum mag makes it seem like a good option, but the reload animation has gotten me killed so many times.
Just a heads up you know there's an option that removes your helmets glass filter to where it says if you're not wearing the helmet at all if you're concerned about helmets ruining the aesthetics of the first person perspective on your videos
Yeah I've considered it, but it's a part of the immersion for me so I think I'd rather leave it on unless it becomes a big problem. Seems fine with everyone though. Thanks for the heads up... display tip!

@NostalgicAscent well from what ive seen they changed the artefact a lot so now they arent useless anymore, plus they reanimated pretty much every gun in the game and added 3d scopes instead of the 2d jpgs used before wich makes the game a lot more fun to play imo

You're running the best series out for GAMMA 0.93. Great combo of tutorial for new folks and story telling. Keep it up!
Hey that means a lot! I'm pretty new and terrible so I wouldn't count on me too much for useful tutorial info haha, but still thanks!
The quality for a two hundred subscriber channel is amazing 🤩
Hey I appreciate that! If you're not gonna do it right then don't do it all eh? Well, I try at least!
