@@anthonychase6906 I'm fairly new to GAMMA, what micro management did they remove? I literally don't notice any for base building or any other aspect so far?
Also probably worth knowing is that since the led containers are removed the tutorial mission in rookie village where you get the artifact works a bit different. When you get the artifact, the quest still tells you to put it into the container but you can just go back to the quest giver and complete the task even though it does not show that in the quest or on the map.
yeah like the big buildings in rostock, they always felt way too big to make a cozy base in, but with the walls you can have it actually feel like an actual base
Having the overall weapon durability removed is a great change. Mot guns can last for years and years with the normal body and only needing to remove or replace parts, so it makes sense that they would get rid of it. Also simplifies the process a tiny bit and should make it easier to get guns working finally. That said the bleeding is a bit overkill. It doesn't seem necessary to me to make it that high, but we'll see.
It makes getting broken guns back to firing easier but makes maintaining a gun harder and more crafting intensive but never letting the overall go below 90% parts didn't break or get damaged much

my favorite part about GAMMA is the fact that I can recruit Fanatic during his quest and then just... never finish it and bring him everywhere. free follower lol also hey thanks for covering the repair system change! I was confused why I couldn't repair the parts like usual!
I really wanted to update because of base building, but the new bleed system is annoying… early game is going to suck. I suppose the game wants you to craft more often now. The new repair system is more simple, perhaps too simple now. I enjoyed actually using a ramrod or multi tool for their intended purpose. Now it’s just another craft item.
New volad Emrald suck! But... the Artifact container still have their use, It help reduce the weight of the Artifact you carrying. If you have a 99% meat chunk, next upgrade (empty or something I don't remember) will also have 99% condition. But if a high tier artifact require 2 lower tier artifact, both one must at the same condition.
I like the new repair system. Still complex but no longer as confusing. I might abandon my current playthrough and start fresh with the new update because i still havent found expert tools.
I am happy with overall durability, but I don't like that you STILL can't clean low durability parts. That's just a workaround for OP weapons not to be used too early in the game, and it makes zero sense
The reason it doesn't count it is because of the radius of Dynamic Coverage being too low; if you made the walls closer together, it would've worked. Additionally it requires northern-facing coverage by default (AFAIK). This is literally just a settings issue that can be fixed easily by adjusting it or making a proper building instead of some weird fenced-off area.
Okay i have 1 problem with this gun repair system now... despite being able to repair parts below 60, it uses as many charges in fact a charge from repair and cleaning, compared to just replacing the part with the maintain parts
@KnownAsDovah it really isn't worth it compared to using the maintain parts options but if you have a repair kit of the right type for the part you can right click it and go into the repair UI and repair parts below 60
Long time from now. Good Modding tools aren’t out yet and Grok said he won’t ever consider a “GAMMA 2” until GAMMA is done (he said it’ll be another couple of years) and even then, GAMMA is a combination of 500 mods over the course of 14 years. So yeah, it’ll be a while.
Damn, it was a bitch to get GAMMA to work under linux and now ill have to do it again But really i hope base furniture keeps expanding, Currently just chilling on Yantar on the mobile science lab with my stuff on the helipad Really just want to build a Basic cabin with a fireplace to chill a little bit far from stalkers and if possible not much mutants around to bother
I’m so salty I haven’t had acces to a pc since the more furniture mod came out I would love to build a a huge walled off base in game also thx cool video
So, about your first gun repair part section, would it be better to have swapped the parts onto the type B gun (Karabiner) and use only the type B kit to repair the parts? You used a type C kit (assuming more expensive) when the part goes into a type B gun? Or am i missing something... glad your content is popping off bro.
but what is the exact % you can repair weapon parts with? So far with the little playtime ive gotten i saw that if the part is above 40%, you can still repair it with a repair kit. It does come in handy; if you dont have the appropriate repair kit for the weapon and none of the other weapons you have dont use the same part.
60% and above you can use a cleaning kit. Anything below that you can use a repair kit. But there's no point in keeping a part that's below 60% because when you Right-click on a weapon, and "Repair" a part, it just spawns a 100% part into existence inside the gun. You don't actually need any part when using a repair kit.
@@Venoxium Got a good barreled SVD before i had the tools to craft a kit for it, mechanic nor none of the other weapons in my stash had the last part either. Rare situation iguess but useful
I love Gamma, but I feel they have gone a bit overboard with the base building stuff in the latest updates. For me having a workbench, a bed and some chest is more than enough.
12:36 this shit is why I prefer EFP. I think GAMMA makes a lot of the hardcore survival stuff too easy. You never really feel like you're just trying to survive in GAMMA compared to EFP.
While EFP does have more punishing gunplay, The progression is overall a LOT easier than GAMMA. There’s a reason my longest EFP series was only about 10 episodes compared to my GAMMA series which normally lasts 24. I do really love EFP though, and I can’t wait for the next major update. That’s supposed to come out by New Years.

I think these kinds of mechanics need to stay with GAMMA. All this extra stuff just to repair a gun doesn't make me think of STALKER, it makes me think of games like EoT
@amygdala_hunter6992 yeah that's true. I was thinking about that as I was looking at that. Honestly stalker 2 would be a great middle ground. I'm not a hardcore survival person. I have EFT and never really played it because it was so hardcore. But DMZ is super perfect for me. I feel like stalker 2 could improve on a lot of things and just be that fun casual survival game. I would absolutely like to see more weapons, attachments, stuff like that though. Even enemy types and dynamic events
@@LOL2YOU yeah I agree, I've got like 25 ish hours in Stalker 2. It could def use a tune up. DMZ was pretty fun for what it was. After playing the original games for stalker, I really feel like Anomaly is much closer than GAMMA, but obviously to each their own. I am also not a hardcore survival person, usually I get annoyed at some of the more tedious mechanics.
@amygdala_hunter6992 yeah me too. I have unlimited sprinting, no weigh, and durability but scavenging for ammo and guns make it really fun. I just wish there were more individual parts scattered.
@LOL2YOU it can be really rewarding with those mechanics, I just don't think they fit mainline stalker. I do wish we got to pick a faction in STALKER 2 though. Woulda loved to play as Noontide or something like that.
Building bases in the exclusion zone makes no sense especially in the original trilogy. The army is constantly patrolling the halfway habitable parts of the zone with infantry and choppers. That's why everybody is hiding out in half collapsed ruins in the first place.
What is that medic wheel he used to heal up? is another mod or is because of the exo he was using? and also the doors have different sizes, there's one smaller that fit perfectly on that wall, on the description of the wall doorway it say the size of the door for it and the doors say the size on their descriptions.
What do you mean? You still can. If you find a gun with a barrel above 60% you just use a cleaning kit like you normally would the difference is you don’t have to worry about overall durability. He basically simplified the repair mechanic by making you only have to worry about weapon parts. Just use cleaning kits for anything 60% or above and use repair kits for anything below 60%. Remember, you don’t have to craft cleaning kit you can still buy it from any technician.
Isn’t going to happen for a long time. Grok said there will be no “GAMMA 2” and he won’t consider it till after he finishes working on GAMMA which he thinks will be in a few years. Not to mention GAMMA is 500+ mods which have been made over the course of 14 years. Big Mods won’t really been made until GSC releases their modding tools.
Did you ever play the original trilogy? They had none of these mechanics. Gamma is not really stalker, so stalker 2 was never going to have any of these mechanics. We may get then via modding down the road, but that's it.
Can you make unless you have and I missed it a guide for which mods/settings affect gpu temps the most? I dont like how it makes my gpu become a fire anomaly when playing
What temperature is your GPU at? Unless it’s high 80s or low 90s then it’s fine. GPUs nowadays down clock themselves when the temperature gets high to prevent any issues. there shouldn’t be any issues and I don’t know what settings or mods would cause any issues.
you can use the framerate limiter to reduce GPU load. especially if your monitor is only 60hz. otherwise, all you're going to do with reducing graphics settings is making the game run at higher fps, that won't really reduce the load on the gpu. the biggest FPS drainers are: shadows, volumetric effects, grass density and draw distance (world and grass) you can engage a 60 fps limit, lower your grass density and shadow quality and i'm sure you'll notice a reduce in your gpu load.
Yeah the plan is for me to rewatch all of my old guides and pin a comment with updated info. But I have a feeling after I finish that, Grok will change more stuff Lol
Tell me why the video was on 1.25x accidentally adhd that’s why… poor guy sounded like he did a line at the start of the video, great video though brotha!
This base building is a cool concept, but man all this other stuff shows me why I just play base anomaly with my own list of mods. There's a certain level of tedium I like, and I think Gamma exceeds that level. Also the artifact crafting seems antithetical to the lore and the point of hunting for artifacts.
I am so fucking tired of having to fixing atmospherics, reshade, textures etc I have 3500-4000 hours in gamma alone and every single time I start doing runs again I have to fix the visuals. Also, the new repair changes are so bad imo, they made all these usefull repair items basically useless and less exciting to loot. it's a shame, gamma had a great repair and crafting system before and that's what set it apart. I don't welcome the stats being made into numerical values as it makes the UI less appealing and takes away the stalker vibe from the inv although its nice to visually see the numbers it's not needed. Maybe a tooltip with stats instead, i'll probably revert all that back. I always hunt artifacts and utilize them however I don't think players should be pigeon holed into having to farm them for good resistances either
Basically there is no overall condition anymore. So all the cleaning solvent that you originally used for overall condition is now used as crafting parts for weapon cleaning kit and repair kit. You only have to worry about parts durability now.
whelp, I hate the progression and artifact changes so I prob wont be updating for a very long time lol just spent like 10 hours updating to the last current version the day stalker 2 came out
You need to open the gamma installer just like you did when first installing the game. If you check the gamma discord, there is a channel for how to update.

I like literally nothing about these changes. Weapons seem too easy to repair now, artifact containers were a cool and believable addition, now it feels more "game-y" and less realistic.
I don’t mind the changes to artifacts since they’re now the same as they were in the OG games. There was never artifact containers or radiation when carrying artifacts in your inventory.
How do you define realism in Artefacts ? Container mechanic was a pain in the ass since Misery , no one really liked it. But it was ok in Gamma i guess , not a huge loss for me.
Container was cool in Misery when it first came, but it is a pain in GAMMA. For example: I want to have all my artis available to craft in workbench. Before I would get all the radiation, now I can craft artis with ease.

They removed Veles detector? Shame.
Love your videos!
Honestly i lioed it better when you could repair the guns "on the fly"
You can still repair “on the fly” just keep a cleaning kit in your inventory, which most people already do.
@@Venoxium i mean like finding for example oil or other small item thats quite common but brings joy when you need it and you find it
GAMMA is proof perfect of too many chefs and overly complex mechanic spoiling a solid gameplay idea.
Sometimes less is indeed more.
I think Gamma is one of the best games I've ever played and it was free.
@dropthexd3277
Yeah it's great it's free but the mechanics leave alot to be desired.
Such as? What are you desiring that it doesn’t have?

I purchased a tie 1 NVG from a scientist near the Yantar plant entrance. Hope it will help someone 6:40
You can just use a tent to cover from emissions.
I am happy with overall durability, but I don't like that you STILL can't clean low durability parts.
That's just a workaround for OP weapons not to be used too early in the game, and it makes zero sense
The bleeding is so overkill wtf
I'd just like to add if the barrel of the gun is dirty status you cant add parts
you're beyond based, I really appreciate all these stalker videos
The reason it doesn't count it is because of the radius of Dynamic Coverage being too low; if you made the walls closer together, it would've worked. Additionally it requires northern-facing coverage by default (AFAIK).
This is literally just a settings issue that can be fixed easily by adjusting it or making a proper building instead of some weird fenced-off area.
never found the mythical kukuri 💀
Okay i have 1 problem with this gun repair system now... despite being able to repair parts below 60, it uses as many charges in fact a charge from repair and cleaning, compared to just replacing the part with the maintain parts
How do you repair parts below 60 condition? I haven't had any success looking it up and can't figure it out in game. Thank you in advance
@KnownAsDovah it really isn't worth it compared to using the maintain parts options but if you have a repair kit of the right type for the part you can right click it and go into the repair UI and repair parts below 60
Graphics look perfectly fine. Can we just put stalker 2 on the xray engine and just do all these overhauls
I hope stalker 2 gets to this place one day...
@@Venoxium Do you know if GSC plans to release any modding tools themselves?
I really dislike the artifact changes, I also have a significant dislike for Kukari's so being forced to use one for mutant butchering sucks hard.
OTs 3 knife can also be used for 95% pelt
Damn, it was a bitch to get GAMMA to work under linux and now ill have to do it again
But really i hope base furniture keeps expanding, Currently just chilling on Yantar on the mobile science lab with my stuff on the helipad
Really just want to build a Basic cabin with a fireplace to chill a little bit far from stalkers and if possible not much mutants around to bother
That bleed is a little excessive lol
I’m so salty I haven’t had acces to a pc since the more furniture mod came out I would love to build a a huge walled off base in game also thx cool video
So, about your first gun repair part section, would it be better to have swapped the parts onto the type B gun (Karabiner) and use only the type B kit to repair the parts? You used a type C kit (assuming more expensive) when the part goes into a type B gun? Or am i missing something... glad your content is popping off bro.
It’s a bit weird right now. Some parts that fit into a Part B gun for some reason require a Type C kit. No clue why.
but what is the exact % you can repair weapon parts with?
Wow, GAMMA is Fallout 4 now.
That’s supposed to come out by New Years.
very good. thank you
7:30 what is this radial menu? if its in the modpack by default can i just bind the key somehow?
It’s an extra mod called Quick Action Wheel.
cant wait for all these mods to be in S2

there allready some nice mods which fixing many issues like the Spawing in your face enemys, bullet sponge enemys, adding Mutant Parts, and so on
It's crazy how this is literally becoming the new DayZ. An upgrade to Stalker 2 with all these mechanics will be god-tier
Base building would be interesting if its in stalker 2.
Since NPCs can permanently die, you can recruit and form new settlements.
No just god please no, next we will get the dog.
@@idkwhatmynameis53 bro just want to play fallout 4 sims simulator
Building bases in the exclusion zone makes no sense especially in the original trilogy. The army is constantly patrolling the halfway habitable parts of the zone with infantry and choppers. That's why everybody is hiding out in half collapsed ruins in the first place.
What is that medic wheel he used to heal up? is another mod or is because of the exo he was using? and also the doors have different sizes, there's one smaller that fit perfectly on that wall, on the description of the wall doorway it say the size of the door for it and the doors say the size on their descriptions.
It’s a mod called “Quick Action Wheel”.
Goddman i can no longer speedrun an ak47 with an above 60%barrel and fix it with no tools
@Venoxium oh yeah i just forgot mosins need shotgun kits derp
Nice vid. I can’t play stalker 2 until it gets some of these mechanics, just feels like a hollow game in comparison
Nice I was watching older guides and they had outdated information.
Yeah the plan is for me to rewatch all of my old guides and pin a comment with updated info. But I have a feeling after I finish that, Grok will change more stuff Lol
I love the look of the autumn and dead trees in the game but how did you get it so green
Re-install Aydins Grass Tweaks and choose spring grass and trees. I also up the color saturation to 1.5x
@@Venoxium apreciate it brother
so if lukash or hunter gives you a quest to deliver a weapon to them, you must repair all parts instead of condition to get max money now?
No clue. I’m sure there are situations like that they missed but I’ll have to test it at some point
Does the base you build protect you from emissions?
Nope. I really wish it did. Hopefully someone will be able to make a mod for that.
I am so fucking tired of having to fixing atmospherics, reshade, textures etc
I have 3500-4000 hours in gamma alone and every single time I start doing runs again I have to fix the visuals.
"kook-ree"
not
"kah-curry"
I'm ngl I still don't understand what changed regarding repairs
Basically there is no overall condition anymore. So all the cleaning solvent that you originally used for overall condition is now used as crafting parts for weapon cleaning kit and repair kit. You only have to worry about parts durability now.

8:16 - "I'm still not bleeding!!!" YOU'RE WEARING AN EXOSUIT, DUDE!! Their bullets are just shattering against the outer armor layer!
You think that’s how it works, but it’s not. He lowered the chance of you getting a bleed in general.
@@Venoxium Meaning those bullets aren't tearing apart the skin that would result in bleeding, just pounding it and causing blunt force trauma.
Plus it sounded like those Monolith and Duty fighters were using low-caliber guns.
