Danish Winter Survival Tip #1: Prepare yourself
Take vitamin D to reduce seasonal depression, use hand cream and buy a good jacket and boots. We also recommend a wake-up light for an alarm to simulate sunrise as you wake up!
Danish Winter Survival Tip #2: Make your home into a nest
Lighten up your home in the darkest days of winter. Don’t be afraid to invest in your home to make it feel cozy, even if you are just renting a room. Candles, comfy blankets, a warm cup of coffee, and good music can make you feel happy even in the dead of winter!
Danish Winter Survival Tip #3: Stay active
As easy as it is to sit on the couch from Christmas to Easter, you still need to stay active!
Winter is a good time to stay fit by working out in a gym, swimming, or playing indoor sports like badminton. Less into athletic endeavors? Find indoor clubs like knitting or card games.
Danish Winter Survival Tip #4: Be a tourist in your own town
Explore museums, grab a book or sit in a new cafe - just get out of the house and check out a town or neighborhood you wouldn’t regularly go to. With tourists gone you can take your time in peace to explore museums or try a new restaurant.
Danish Winter Survival Tip #5: Outdoor time is important!
Bundle up and go for a walk, either through the city or out in nature. Danes claim cold air is good for the lungs and it helps break up the monotony of sitting at home and watching Netflix on the couch. It also makes that warm cup of coffee or tea all the better to warm up! You can even try winter bathing and jump into the sea!
Danish Winter Survival Tip #6: Escape Denmark!
Danes are some of the world’s most avid travelers, and winter is no exception. Many Danes will take a ski holiday, or look for some winter sun. There's no shame in getting away for a week, plus it gives you something to look forward to!
Danish Winter Survival Tip #7: Get Hygge
Making a hyggeligt night is how you survive Danish winter! A few friends, board games, candles, and some bottles of wine make for a perfect night. Take advantage of a slower period to hang with friends and family with fewer distractions while everyone is in town.
Final Thoughts
The key is also to remember that summer is just around the corner and Danish summers make the winter worth living through!
Keep a positive mindset that this is the time of year to recharge and self-care so you can be ready for the craziness of summer!

I consider it a privilege to be able to experience the four seasons in full! I want those dark cold days as much as I want the warm sunny days!
Exactly! It’s so nice to have all of the seasons, even if we miss them when they’re gone (like with summer).
As a dane it is really interesting watching you guys talk about your experience living in Denmark. Often i think we become blind to our own culture, both good and bad, and how it is different from other countries.
Thank you for entertaining and providing a different perspective.
Best wishes
Oh thank you so much for the kind words and for watching. We love being able to talk about and also celebrate the things that maybe go unnoticed or even get taken for granted about life here in Denmark 🇩🇰😊
For living with so different seasons, it is important to have different interests through the seasons. Winter is good for books, puzzles, games and hobby work :)
That’s such a great point! Thanks for adding that and for watching 😊🇩🇰
I do that all year long 😃
I agree: we have such traditions that help us approach seasons prepared. Look for Kaffe Fasset's books in the library for self-made (knitted and crocheted) inspiration against gloomy grey and brown. Winter pottering is different from summer pottering. Why not try to make a cushion or two, or a scarf, or a ski-cap. My hubby just knitted his first fisherman-style beanie. There are great shops for yarn in Copenhagen, but the yarn needs to be at least 75 % wool. Good luck!
The dark can be hard even for those of us born here. Daylight lamps are helpful, and making sure you see actual daylight; even a short walk on your lunch break can be nice.
Great advice 😊 a midday walk is really smart 🇩🇰🙌🏼
Absolutely! The lack of daylight may cause winter-depression resulting in tiredness, weight gain etc.
I love Danish winters for all the reasons you mentioned...the cold, the dark, the wet and for the hygge that comes with it 😊 Made me smile, to see the progression of candles, blankets and dimmed lights....the only thing missing were some home-knitted socks (which are a big thing in the Scandi countries, too)
Would love to spend an evening of wine and games w. you two! 🤣
hello from Hundested 🌸❄
I'll be moving to Copenhagen for work from NYC in the next few months (if all goes well), I can't express how helpful your channel has been! I've watched every video like this and plan on watching them all over again a couple more times. I've lived abroad in Australia but it will definitely be a different beast in Denmark.
As a particularly sensory sensitive person (stressed by bright lights, garish colors, loud/clashing noise, and chaotic movement around me), Danish Winter is actually the better time of year for me; less sunshine means less color and light, the gray cold weather keeps people indoors and streets/shops less crowded and everything just gets quieter, smaller, and easier for me to deal with in the winter.
Of course, I was born and raised in Denmark, so I'm pretty well adapted for it.
Yeah, there’s something really nice about the change during that part of the season compared to the rest of the year - 100% agree with you. It’s best to embrace it 😊🇩🇰
Long walks at the beach/in the forest are really nice in the winter in DK. My favorite memories of winter in DK is walking long walks with the family dog (newfoundland dog) at the west coast of Jylland in very windy weather and coming home to a warm house, putting on a movie + pyjamas + a blanket + hot cocoa.
Oh and a nice tip for when you are cold or similar, tumbledry your duvet and voilá - a nice warm nest for hygge. My mom used to do this, back when I was a kid, when I had been out in the winter snow. It's such a great feeling.
What sweet memories! 🤩 Thanks for sharing this. And great tip with the duvet, we have never tried that but totally agree that getting into a warm bed or coming home to a cozy house is just so nice in winter 🇩🇰😊🙌🏼
Gløgg wasn't mentioned at all and that's one of the things I love about wintertime.
We do love gløgg 😊🇩🇰🍹 and we did a video trying them at all the Christmas markets during Vlogmas 🎄
Regarding the dry hands, it is actually more a matter of exposure to cold air and the temperature differences, that if causing your hands to dry out. Therefore the best cure, beside treating your hands to a lotion is using gloves while outside, especially for biking, ensuring you dry your hands well after handwash (and carefully with paper towels), and use perfume free lotion (since the perfume can itch the smalll cuts on your dry hands and make it worse)
Great tips :)
Hygge - close but no cigar 🙂Try to pronounce the to first letters 'hy' as in 'hysterical' and tag on 'get' - with a silent 't', I love your videos, They are very inspiring.
Thanks Stephan 😊🇩🇰🙌🏼
I sometimes rewatch your videos when I feel depressed. You almost always cheer me up! Thanks guys :)
Aw, this is the nicest comment we could get! Thank you :-)
I love the dark mornings 😊 I am not at all a morning person and it takes me a while to actually feel awake after I get up, but when it’s dark outside I can sit quietly, eat my breakfast and drink my tea, with a lighted candle on the table, and it’s ok to not be fully awake and active because it’s still “night” outside.
Another great thing about dark mornings is that almost everyday you get to watch the beautiful sunrise and welcome the day 😊
I love your trending theme of Hygge and all those candles that slowly turns up over and over through the video^^
Hot cacao (chocolate) is also a nice winter beverage - and if you're keen, add a little Bailey's.
Nice video, guys.
One point I think is overlooked: The work/life balance is a very important factor in the Winter months.
Ah, you’re so right on both points - love some hot chocolate or coffee and baileys and the chance to work differently and in a better pace makes it a lot nicer!
The morning light has helped me soooo much, I had so much trouble getting up in the dark, since i turned 18 and it makes a huge difference in your energy! Danish weak potato here ;)
I think you're spot on with these tips!
I'm so glad I don't have responsibilities before 8, or else I'd find it completely impossible to go up about my day here. not sure how they cope up there in the arctic lol
@@arctic_desert Ive seen documentaries from cites where they only have 4 hours of sunlight, and i think I would die of depression unfortunately, haha! They must have a hard time staying fresh and awake hehe :)
Just a tip: Take up winter bathing and sauna. It really relaxes you and is healthy as heck to swim in the cold water and makes for an incredible amazing nap once you go to sleep. Yeah it's cold and unpleasent in the moment but the benefits so much justify it.
For sure! 🙌🏼 we went for the first time in early 2020 and love it once we do it.
@@RobeTrotting Yeah if I wasn't so much of a wuss I'd definitely do it more often. It takes motivation to overcome that dread of getting really cold and wet but once you muster the courage to do so, it really pays off.
I loved winter in Britain. Wasn't too thrilled with summer. Rain is always a blessing when you grow up in a high plane desert. Bright sunlight is not my thing
I have lived in different parts of Sjælland, and the be a tourist part is just something I love. And it's a good walk to walk your dog at the same time :)
For sure! You can really enjoy things in a different way without the crowds and at your own pace 🇩🇰😊
The candles 😂 I looked away for one second!!
😂
I feel like not enough people noticed this 🕯️ 😂
I love the winter months. I could never leave somewhere where the seasons didn't really change
You need to have that transition period and the contrast 😊🇩🇰🙌🏼
When planning activities, we make two sets of plans, so if the weather changes drastically we have a back up plan. Just to make sure we get out of the house.
The sunrise clock is SO good and helt with lovering stress and makes a soft Wake up😊
Yes! We love it - such a nice way to wake up :)
The days are already getting longer and we are on our way to summer :)
Yes 🙌🏼 you can feel it, and it moves fast from here ☀️😊🇩🇰
I accidentally took my late night medication at like 17h00 yesterday because it was so dark out haha these 15h30 twilights are getting me loopy without social interaction (😷)
Thanks for your tips! I'm goin to use them very soon
Thank you for reminding me/making it more clear to me, what I need to do in the wintertime in Denmark. When you make your list of what to remember, I clearly see what has been obvious for me since I was a child. But it also makes me feel thankful and appreciative. Thank you for giving me a different perspective of what I need to do more of to get trough the winter. You do it in a very funny way. It makes me laugh and keeps me interested in knowning more about what I might already know. Keep it coming 😀
No no - born and raised Dane here, and if I didn’t have my wake-up lamp, I would sleep till noon!
omg you have a rainbow nisse! i mean ofc you have but he looks cool :)
😂 ofc we do haha 😆 Derek’s aunt gave it to us for Christmas - she’s one of our family members who have really gotten inspired to embrace Nordic/Danish culture. She also loves the royals 😊🇩🇰
I love the bundling up an all the candles, it made me laugh. It really is a necessity getting through Danish winters. 😁
Thinking to move to Denmark, I have been watching your videos. Thanks you guys!, you've been very helpful 🙂 Love from Italy 🧡
Best of luck!
I really liked the being a tourist in your own town. Really good ide 👍❤️
It is fun to see what you think about our long dark evenings in the winter. Yes, it is hard to get up early in the mornings. As a Dane I can recommend long wool underwear between underwear and your jeans or shirts. It helps you to stay warm. Winter is the time of the year where you make all the things that you don’t make in the summertime. It can be things inside your house or apartment like organizing, cleaning or other things that you don’t do that much in the summertime. In the summertime you want to be outside as much as possible. It is very nice in the wintertime to sit with a book, a cup of hot chocolate and some candles around you.
The Wall quote was great! 😂
these are really some nice videos you get made, it's always cool to follow you
Aw thanks Marco :)
In the Winter months it is also a very food time to sort your belonings and see if you can donate, reuse or throw some things out that you arent using anymore. It gives you both exercise, a sense og accompishment and is goodt for your mental health. Aeesome video guys👍
😂😂😂😂😂 if You guys ever gonna try winter bathing make sure to film
It for the rest of us to laugh about. Mikes face was just too fun ♥️😂♥️ Winter in Denmark is no fun at all and to be honest I don’t think many Danes loves it but you just have to get through it with candles, whine, blankets and going to bed early and have a bit of “fun” ☺️☺️
We have gone before, and have a video (I think our friend took it) but we'll have to plan another winter bathing trip and share it 😀🇩🇰
@@RobeTrotting uhhh well done you guys I’ll have to try and find that video 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I would never ever go winter bathing I hate the cold.
I have seen some of your videos these last two hours - and I must say: You´re spot-on about Denmark and the Danes ... BRAVO ...
I love to watch your videos, it is fun to watch a different perspective from "foreigners" as a dane we have the "winter wear" sandals and T-shirts :D haha
Thank you for making me laugh. All those candles 🤣
Candles? Oh yeah, we had a few lit 😂
I love your Schmeichel wall jokes in your videos xD
Many thanks for the interesting video. It sounds very similar to winter on Britain. You can always find Scandinavians in the winter in the Canary Islands and it is a great way to catch up with Scandinavian culture, people and books without being in the cold and dark
Great video, guys. I battle with this every winter, & I guess I have seasonal depression. And, winter during Covid times, with on & off lockdowns have made things harder.
You know when you’re having a bad morning when the windshield washer fluid that is rated to -40 c…freezes 😞
Hey Jasper, we can totally relate to the seasonal depression. It’s so real and the lockdown winters have made them even harder to deal with. Hang in there and stay warm, those morning temperatures must be severe where you are 🥶
Danish candles are amazing 🇩🇰👏👏👏
I love Danish winters. Good warm food, nice wine or strong beer and relax. Love it.
It really is so nice, and you miss it when it’s far gone 🙌🏼
Also, just meeting up with a couple of friends for some hot (or cold) drinks in the afternoon, wrapped in blankets and/or your jackets is amazing as well.
Yes 🙌🏼 it’s fantastic 😊🇩🇰
Love you Guys! Get hygge 😄🙈 Most of the Things you mentioned Are actually part of hygge in a way. Really, Any activity that you find Nice, pleasant, cosy etc. But the hygge is absolutely at its highest during winter. And Nice touch with adding more and more candles on the table 👍💪 Didn't notice it at first 😅🙈
Hurra! 🇩🇰 I er tilbage!
I totally agree, a pair of good hiking boots and a nice walk in your area is a great way to "explore" you neigborhood and get the blood flowing.
About winter bathing, we also do that here in Jutland 🥶😁.
Ah, great to know it’s universal - I think we received a comment that it’s not done everywhere but we have sadly only spent time in Jutland during the summer - we need to plan a winter trip 😊🇩🇰
I keep on going in shorts and T-shirt all year around hehehe only having a warm coat on
Derek’s brother does that too 😂
Winter bathing is all around Denmark. Here on "Als" (if danish is hard to understand, you should hear us from "Als", not even most danes understand what we say...and I'm not even kidding 🤣), there's plenty of naked winter dippers... I enjoy your videos btw
Had a good laugh, when you pointed out the mispronunciation of 'hygge'. Americans pronounce it with the Danish sound for the vowel 'u' - 'hugge'. Here is a trick for Anglophones to learn the right way of pronouncing the 'y':
Say the English word 'mean'! Then, focus on how your lip position changes if you say 'moon'. Now, keep your lips in that position - and say the word 'mean' again. No change in lips from when you said 'moon'. The sound coming out of your mouth is something like 'myyn' - and yes! THERE is the vowel 'y' in Danish - used for the word 'hygge'. Now, what is left for you is to remember the lip position every time you want to say the word!!! ;)
(It helps thinking that the lips should be more pointed as if you were about to give a light kiss!)
😂 Elsker alle de lys🕯
Tak 😂 🕯
And then there're those of us, who absolutely love this time of year - dreading that the summer months are now getting closer. I love living in a place where the seasons change, but if I could, I would live somewhere it's always autumn/winter. I hate the heat but love the cold. I don't even have a winter coat.
Svalbard maybe?
@@lilly6766 No, because in the summer the sun never goes down.
Bathing in the sea all year long is definitely not just a Copenhagen thing. It’s a big thing here in Fyn as well. 🥶
I love the Danish winter and I hate the Danish summer but only if it's too warm and yes that is crazy I know 😂
so now that it is winter, maybe it is time for a little house/apartment tour if you guys are up for. Would love to see how you have decorated your home :)
During regular times usually I do a 2 weeks trip to North-Africa between December and February. It is affordable and a fast travel. This way my batteries get charged for the winter.
Such a great plan, hopefully, next winter this will be safe and popular to do again 😀🇩🇰
I love you guys so much :) It's weird - ever since I was a little boy, I have always had a fascination for Denmark. No idea why - just do! LOL. I always wanted to live and work there - but I think I might have left my run a bit late. I get so much enjoyment watching your videos about life there for people who aren't from Denmark - I sort of get to live a little vicariously through you both! And you are such lovely guys - I want to be your friend! LOL! I really look forward to your videos. I really hope you are both safe and well - and I'm glad you have each other there too. I could imagine a move like this might be a little tougher by yourself. Mange tak, Mike & Derek. Much love and best wishes from James in Australia (a Dane at heart!)
Aww, I hope you get to live out your dream even if it’s only for a month or 2. It’s never too late! I had the same fascination for England, so at 40 I decided to go live there for a year…..now 10 years later, I’ve just returned home to Denmark 😂. One of my work mates in the UK is from Melbourne, and he also just moved back to Australia. A great guy and a great representative for you guys 😀
@@daedala70 Aww…tusen tak for your lovely comment! Welcome back to Denmark! Glad you got to pursue your dream - well done you!
I just turned 53, so as I said maybe a tad too late! Lol. It’s so wonderful to be able to see it being lived out in videos like this though. My beautiful Denmark is just like I thought it would be 😃❤️
@@jameswalker68 thank you 😊. 53 is nothing though! 🤗
@@daedala70 It feels it today! 😂
@@jameswalker68 I can relate 😁, I’m not far behind!
Stay cool boys, I mean....warm!!!!
Hehehe that’s the goal for us all 😊🇩🇰🙌🏼
Schmeichel is like santa - everywhere at once 😄
Wall to wall Schmeichel 😂
Part of the reason why people do like living where they live, MORE (especially if the weather where they live is most inclement, much of the time) is because they have the where-with-all and means to get away from where they live, often enough to have their batteries re-charged. IF you live where it is cold, and you can go to Hawai'i, say, twice a year, then coming home will be all that much more welcomed.
Fun fact in some parts of Nordjylland winterholliday is in week 8. ;-)
This year surviving winter might be a little easier with the Light festival and Winter Jazz festival in February. Something to look forward to.
Oh yeah, we were able to check out the light festival last year - it’s super nice to have some winter activities to enjoy 😊
@@RobeTrotting that might also help you to get outside.
The white walls things, that people may not understand is because it is very dark here in the winter, by painting walls white you exploit the light better. About the cold. It does drop below freezing from time to time, but most of the time the weather is around freezing in the winter, so you get a very humid cold, that is way different from the dryer colds in -7 celsius and below. Combined with the always windy weather here it does cool you down very fast. If staying outside for extended periods of time, wool is the way to go (it doesn't really gets cold when it becomes wet like cotton would). We do use the new years resolution method to stay in shape in the winter, which is why fitness and gyms are filled in January.
Thaaaaats a lot of candles 😂🤣
Since you two phenomenal trotter and pioneers live in Copenhagen, my sincere wish is that you'd help making Copenhagen a hub for train-travel in Europe, criss-cross. It is more climate-friendly than flying.
Take a train to the south and try out for example Freiburg and Basel. If you start with an afternoon trip you could go to Hamburg first and then take the night-train from there.
Spring comes earlier around the Alps and the mornings are brighter even in the winter. Both Basel and Freiburg are interesting towns/cities, and the Alps are near, with bright snow, or great paths to walk. Food is great and the feeling is historically&culturally rich and cosmopolitan. I was very impressed by both.
Put on your magic robes in the sleeper and you'll wake up 1000 km further south!
During winter in Denmark I find the most important thing to be, when the sun shines even just for half an hour. Get out and walk in the sun.
Yes 🙌🏼 you appreciate the sun whenever you get it, even in the smallest doses 😊🇩🇰
@@RobeTrotting Yep, because once it’s gone. It could be 1-2 weeks until it return
Gotta say I think these 7 tips would be just as valid in Philidelphia where you guys are from if I'm not mistaken. 😊
In the deepest part of winter, very much, and they can all be embraced anywhere. It’s a bit different though, not as extreme with darkness (it’s surprisingly farther south) and Philly gets random mild days and sunny days. It can also get much colder where they advise no one to be outside unless absolutely necessary. The temperatures have more ups and downs and is less predictable with more snow 🥶
@@RobeTrotting Yeah, the darkness can be a bit much, but then our 17.5 hours of daylight in June makes up for it. 😊
Also; tips to pronounce ‘y’. Say ‘hugge’, and notice how your tongue is flat and low in your mouth on the ‘u’ sound. Now move yout tongue so it’s kinda pointed and more forward in the mouth. Almost to the point where it would be if you were going to whistle. Then try. :)
We were mispronouncing it on purpose in the beginning but if the other times wasn’t good enough, we are okay with it haha 😂
Yeah, there's winter bathing clubs all over the country. ;) Is there a body of water here? Winter bathing club!
Surprised you could even breathe at the end with all those candles and clothes 🤣
I know quite a bit of people that would usually go to the Canaries, or Mallorca, during xmas... It's cheap and if you don't have a lot of family obligations during that time of year, it can get you feeling very lonely when you have no plans. And it's "cheap" days off.
My fiancé is working in Ringsted, Demark, a lot of hrs, outside work mostly, I told him it would be a good idea to get some vitamin D since it looks as though it is snowing or raining, cloudy most of time so far since he's been there beginning of November. He says that he would need to get Vitamin D from pharmacy as a prescription.. Is that true? Here in the states we can get it over-the- counter (from the shelf).
With all the cantle lights it is important to air out and also remember fire alarm,
Soot, smok and fire hazard should not be taken lightly
You guys are starting to sound like my mom ;-)
😂 we get that from a lot of people haha
Vitamin C aswell
SO important in winter 😊🇩🇰
Heh, those are the exact same vitamins as we take. Great shape.
Yes 🙌🏼 💪 Matas special
Winter swimming isn't only in Cph. In Århus e.g., one of the Winther Bathing Clubs is called "Den Lille Tap". Just HAD tell you 🤣😂🤣
😂 love it! We STILL haven’t been to Århus yet, besides a train transfer - we will fix that 😊🇩🇰
I can't imagine the cold and dark for so long (where I'm from, it doesn't snow at all, so the Danish winter would be an exotically hygge experience!). I love your tips, but the one that resonated with me most was to be a tourist in your own city. This works no matter what time of the year it is: there are always new things to explore, and we often get so caught up in everyday life that we forget to do them. I like this idea a lot. Thank you for your videos, and stay warm and safe, inside or out. xx
There is something really speciel about a winter morning in Denmark - it's completly silent until the sun start to rise then the birds starts to sing and the world wakes up^^
@@lassemadsen607 that sounds great.
@@michaelgask It really is. The frost makes most clouds go away and you get a beautifull sunrise with colours you can't describe^^ I know most people think of darkness as a sad thing but being in it here is part of why I love winter - it's a calm you wont understand untill you experience it
@@lassemadsen607 One day, I'd like to experience that...
@@michaelgask I had the luck of laying pipies there, so for 6 months I got to experiance it, While getting pay for it^^ It is magical
After living in Greenland for some years and a move to Denmark I get claustrophobic the first couple of weeks of winter. It’s not my favorite thing in life.
Det er nemlig rigtigt 🙂
selvfølgelig 😃
Those blankets with all those candles were making me nervous.
😂 we are all about the fire safety standards in our home haha 🕯
Tip: Listen here on UA-cam to DR koncerthuset (Danish National Symphony Orchester) playing Interstellar-suite, Narnia, The Godfather, and many more. DNSO are worldclass.
are you sure you have enough candles :-)
🕯 🕯😂🕯😂 🕯 🕯
My viking genome had a good chuckle, but the modern caveman in me is not that unsympathetic. It's kinda funny the long winter months, made me watch a lot of German television as a kid, so it's my second language today.
Jeans are not suitable for ANYTHING during wintertime …. You will always need some level of water repellant and wind resistance…and HEAT
Great advice - we may do a deeper dive on what to wear in wintertime 😊🇩🇰
glad i live in Australia lol
Which month is the end of winter?
Some years it’s April, but it varies haha.
It is a miracle that we survived for thousands of years. ( 13000 actually )😄
Well our perspective is more for those who have been here 5 years or less like us 😂
Fortunately for me... Im a mutant (ginger) and produce my own d vitamin... And on top of that i don't freez... I don't even turn on the heater in the winter...
Wow, from your hair and complexion? That’s wild 😮
@@RobeTrotting yeah it's weird... But we red heads make d vitamins... It's has something to do with the fact we don't do well with the sun so evaluation made it work for us...
Ive never heard of dry hands caused by warm radiators? Is it really a thing 😳
I think it dries the air out
It is more a matter of the exposure to cold air and changing temperatures that gives dry hands. Having good gloves when outside, drying hands after washing thoroughly and using handcreme is a great help.
@@anneuldahl i knew that. It was not what they Said though 😅
How to survive the Danish winter....we don't have a choice 😉
😂 that’s the simple and honest truth haha
Dudes! Mispronunciation of "Hygge", I can almost live with! But PLEASE..., PLEASE, teach your fellow Colonists (from all English speaking Countries) 😁😁, to pronounce "Nyhavn" ! correct 🙄 ! And Yeah! Even the UK, was at sometime a Danish Colony (1013 -1015+) 😄! You guys are really getting it! Total "Hygge" going on behind you 👍 !
No! Your not weak! Being weak is not being able to adjust to a currant situation. Y'all have adjusted 👍😊👍 !! I'm a shift worker. I need an Alarm clock like that. Where can I get one?
There's still this "little thing" called "Corona". Not going anywhere until, that's in check 😒 ! Don't need to be "that Guy".., who brings the new strain back home ☹️ ! I totally like you guys 👍 ! But telling Danes to travel to "Corona" Hot spots, may not be among your best advice's, yet!
Not Judging..., just saying! At this time, your VLOG has 2.247 views. 10% of that is about 224.
If 224 Danes travel out to different Countries. How many of them bring something bad back, that the rest of us have to relate to! I really don't want a 4th shot 😌 !
Yes, you may say. "We're just guys with a UA-cam Channel.., we're not "Influencers" ! But Yeah! You are !! People are actually listening and Influenced by what you post! If you recommend a Restaurant, I'll try it out ( as will others - we're all Sheep 🙄) ! If you give me that link to that Alarm Clock, I'll buy it - because it sounds as something that could work for me). But others will do the same..., because we trust the people we like 😎 ! You don't wanna recommend International travel, while we may be close to the end (or not).
Take Care ❤️
We expect the video to be around much longer than corona, but you knew it was a joke that we were pronouncing hygge wrong, right? 😂
Oh and the link for the alarm clock is in the description haha.
Hope you're well and enjoying the new year!
It's not about your pronunciation :-) ! Your doing just fine 👍 , and you have a good grasp of how Denmark works! I just grind my teeth, every time someone says "Nejhayven" 😊 !
Guys. You have some Influence now! Consider how to wield your new super power! Like it or not, your Influencers now 🤣 !
Yeah I did( the Hygge thing - I actually noticed Dereks perfect pronunciation later on in the VLOG 😊 ! Your doing pretty well on the Danish language front 👍😊👍, and that's why you need to teach your fellow English speakers the right pronunciation for Nyhavn 🤣 ! God Weekend 😍
Don't forget: you absolutely want your heavy winter jacket to be waterproof. Preferably 10.000 mm or above 🇩🇰
If you dont embrace the dark, you cant enjoy the light
Perfectly stated 😊🙌🏼🇩🇰
Very funny guys, miss pronounce “”hygge” so meany times in a row, even more funny crocheting the other whit another wrong way 😂
It’s one of those small things there makes your channel funny 😆
*No hate* keep it real 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it - we had fun planning this but some of the funniest things were the improved bits like that 😂
Winter ?? what winter ?
Understanding HYGGE: Imagine yourself bach 50.000 years. Yo are sitting in the cave with family, friends and the tribe. You have a fire and enough firewood. for days and food too. Food is being prepared. Grandpa is (for the 117th time) telling a story about when was young, killed a a cavebrear all by himself!. Outside bears ar roaring, wolves are houling - but in here we feel safe in togethess and trust.. This is hygge.
Du skal bare tage en tyk og en jakke på
You know there is nothing wrong with the Danish weather but only people's clothing. laugh out loud
