How do I get rid of the humming sound? there is a very low hum when running this setup, is that just how its going to be or is there a way around this. I want to make sure when Im sampling into the 404 that I'm getting the best quality possible.
The older sp may have a buzzing noise BUT I would grab one of these: www.zzounds.com/a--3980942/item--MLYHUMX?siid=309716 It’s helps ALOT if you don’t already have one. Plug it up to your outlet THEN plug in your extension cable THEN plug your sp to your extension cable to see if that helps!

My volume on the MK3 is turned up all the way, my speaker volume is midway, and the volume on my sp404 is cranked all the way and it only sounds barely audible. I end up having to turn my volumes full blast in the sound and group level.
I swear this video helped me out. I just wanted to sample directly into my MK3 for my turntable and all I had to do is go into the mic input, smh. Thank you!
I just got an SP404 and connected it to my Maschine and turntable (THANKS! EXTREMELY HELPFUL VID). I've noticed when I run beats through the SP the bass is absolute TRASH really low quality and distorted(without using effects_. did you notice that your bass changes in quality when running your setup thru the SP404? Sarah I really need some help getting my sp404sx to record into my maschine 2 software. All I have is a mk3 mikro so I dont have the plug ins to do what your doing. I've searched everywhere on UA-cam but nothing for maschine 2. I have a audio interface but it's the behringer u-phoria um2 and I'm thinking it doesnt have enough outputs to do it anyways. Not sure if anyone can help but ive got almost this exact setup, except i have NI komplete audio 2 interface. Im having problems getting sound out to my monitors. Have everything plugged in the way she showed. Is it a 404 komplete audio compatibility issue?

Sarah! I have a question, would it be possible to run a maschine Mk3 mikro into my sp404? I know it doesn’t have quarter inch, or the red and white plugin-ish, (on mikro Mk3) would there be a way to work around that with the interface?
I was wondering the same thing. I think you’d have to route the MK2 through a standalone interface of some sort then output it to the SP to process FX then plug into focusrite into your computer to record/monitor

I got the same set up but I have the Apollo 8. I was wondering is there’s a way I can keep my settings where I won’t have to keep switching between the mk3 and my interface whenever i want to sample vinyl. Do you know if that’s possible with aggregate settings?
Hey Sarah! Whats good? Thanks for the video, its a nice setup. I was just thinking why you did not decide to sample the Vinyl in Stereo and plug it mono into Mic in in the Maschine instead of the L/R input? I think there is a lot of nice clarity when using the stereo, I have been sampling mono cause the lack of a proper adapter but when I finally got one it was a hell of a difference :)
It’s up to you. I told someone else. I went to guitar center. Told the guy what I needed. He handed me a mono adapter. Works for me at the time because of my sp. like i mention in the video, you can use the line in l/r. It’s up to you. I’ll change cables when I get the chance.
You could already do that. The sp isn’t a midi controller but you can record into the sp then have the Maschine record it but the Maschine can not control the sp.

Hey I’ve ran this same method and I just can’t seem to make it work. Are you using any extra cables on your speakers (XLR or unbalanced cables) to hear sound? And does your turntable need a built in pre amp to hear what’s coming from the record? The type of turntable I’m using is a Sony usb turntable but It comes with RCA connections. I’m dying over here lol 😂😭

I à novice here and I'm just wondering what the advantage is of making the sound from your turntable go into the Maschine first then to the The SP404 and then eventually your PC, instead of leading it the turntable outs to your SP404 first, then to your Maschine (after being treated by your SP) then eventually to the PC?
doesnt the sp404 introduce latency the way it's setup? i think that a small mackie mixer to connect everything would be a better way. i also see in your maschine prefs you have selected 96khz instead of the standard 44.1 khz. or you have a 32 core pc/mac or you use not that many tracks/vsts. the only reason i can think you have it set at 96khz is that you want (extreme) low latency for fingerdrumming, but here we come back at the first thing i said, maybe you have it set at such a low latency (7ms) because you felt at normal settings (44.1 @ 24 bit) there was a lot of latency (introduced by the sp) just a thought .maybe lend someones mixer to try it out. btw please take this as positive critique as i love your channel and vids. :)

Sorry English is not my first language and to explain technical stuff is sometimes difficult. But it all comes down to that the sp introduces latency in your chain. But if it works for you, it's all good :)

Thanks fam! I’ve always had CPU issues. I try to remove those native instruments plug ins they add to all their kits. I need a better computer. That’s the Downside to Maschine. You have to have a good computer. Which means I have to buy the new controller PLUS invest into another computer. I want them to make a stand alone

why do you plug the turtable in the mic in instead of the line in?
why would you route it that way ? wouldn't you want the record player to talk to the sp and then the sp talk to the maschine ?
