@@avace917 There's another producer with a youtube channel who said "I love the 404 because it has that nice analog sound you don't get in the computer" Not that a hardware sampler doesn't give a sound a different character (like the older samplers, MPC etc), but its not analog lol.
Think about that sentence in another way. "It is in that way considered an "analog" DAW. "
I think "standalone hardware sampler" would be more appropriate. A DAW involves audio tracks like a multitrack tape machine. If this recorded audio tracks and let you punch in and out, gave you at the very least eq on all supposed tracks, then I'd kind of understand. I get what she means because the inputs, outputs and crazy effects. It's just the terminology where it gets confusing. That's just my opinion.

When you do a live performance can you fit your whole set on that SP404sx Sd card? That’s really cool.
u cn fit like 0.5-5.0 sets on it, prolly more, even. the beauty of this thing is the paradoxical immense freedom within the limitations to how you can create, organize, and ppresent your music (or w/e you wanna do with wav files). ppl tend to regard it like an instrument for this reason, moreso than a lot of other samplers and effect boxes.
Don't own one I use maschine but it's definately a good small portable machine for beats! Also she's amazing
Get a MPC!!
MPCLive56 If you have a maschine don’t get a MPC. The software assisted samplers can do so much more.
@@1semele The MPC is BOTH. The MPC Live and X are both stand alone and DAW. Its called MPC 2.6 and its sick.

I use my sp-404 mostly for its effects and trigger samples midi up with my akai force for when I’m jamming live....... and i make most of my beats on a maschine mk3

I think it's an awesome device, however, second hand prices and the price of a new 404A are kinda ridiculous. Especially when most people nowadays tend to use it mostly as a multi FX processor.
agree on that one and even older mpcs are way too overpriced almost 600 for a mpc 1000 ... or akai mpc 500 for 500+ , 2019 it was 250 ...

What's the easiest to use? Currently I have Traktor pro 3 Traktor S8 the S8 is not working at the moment not sure what is wrong with it.
and I have Record box Pioneer controller with no Pro link. I keep hearing Traktors coming out with new gear...but we've all heard that for way too long.

Hello my friend... there are 12 pads and before I buy I just need to know... can I create a drum kit on those pads? Ex: kick on pad 1 - then 8o8 on pad 2 - the hi hats on pad 3 etc etc? I work w a lot of talented kids and I need to drop a beat in an instant and then add vocal chops while they rap or sing or both. Do you think this will work for me mam?
