Great work. Being from Alaska I do most of my flying around the area and I'm looking forward to flying to your bush strips. Thank you for all the work!

It's a wonderful area. I can't wait for the day that it gets better aerial coverage across the state. I'm sure the short summers make that difficult though. Only so many good days a year to gather data. Though it has improved greatly in the last few years!

Hope to see more and more Alaskan scenery. It is a different place to fly. 👍👍👍👍👍

Yup, that fine line you talk about on my cheap flight stick throttle kills any ability to hover or land properly on any heli.
I've tried messing with all kinds of sensitivity settings to get more range, but no go.

Great scenery! I love the effort put into these. It would be cool if the animals could be spooked by our aircraft…It’s a little odd that you can hover right down with them and they’re just like “hey…sup…?”

Something I hope to tackle in a future library update. Scripts are tricky since they aren't really documented. I've seen it demonstrated though, so I know it's possible to an extent. Just need to spend the time to figure it out.

You've definitely created some beautiful scenery in this video. I really appreciate your work on these projects, and can't wait to see the final results. ❤ new subscriber too 😊

Landed at your Fort Crosby coming from Homer and you did a great job 👏🏼👏🏼 Then I took a look at the place of your work-in-progress project and the default scenery is quite meh. Can't wait to see your airstrip!

It will take you for a ride if you try to land there in the default scenery, for sure! haha
      Thanks for the kind words!

Can you do a video showing your setup settings and sensitivities? Im still finding it hard to set up properly! Like a bronco twisting all over the place yet I fly the Cabri like a pro, no problem😮😮😮

Honestly there isn't anything to show. I haven't ever touched curves, sensitivities or anything. I use the VelocityOne Flightstick, which I believe is precalibrated. I also use rudder pedals, which helps a lot, but that's all stock as well.

I’ve got this helicopter how do you have the glass cockpit set up ?

If you have the latest version, there are 3 switches on the right forward side of the center console. One of those will swap the panel.

Just finished a MSFS video on this Bush strip. Posting it very soon. Thank you, very impressed with your design. I wish I had the ability to do what you do.

The 500E flies from the left seat?

    • @Rotornut44
      @Rotornut44  2 місяці тому

Yep, it's one of the few helicopters primarily flown from the left seat. Some models of the 500 have been set up for right seat PIC, and I think you can order them from the factory that way as well, but they are mostly all left seat PIC.
There are several theories(?) floating around out there as to "why" it was done that way. Everything from being able to install a bench seat in the front, to "just because." lol
Apparently the long-line pilots like the setup though as you lean into the collective when looking down at your load, paired with the left skid low hover tendency, it apparently makes it feel more natural.

@@Rotornut44 Interesting. I've never flown sling-load operations, but it sounds like it would make sense!
Another theory I might add is that maybe they were thinking about foreign sales where that's more normal.
Beautiful work, by the way! 👍
