I've been ever so lucky enough to find a brand new one in NSW that was in stock (In Feb 2024), I didn't have much of a choice in color (Black), but I snapped it up in a heartbeat. I know the advantages of the V6, and after testing one out, it was a dream to drive around. But I also understand why FORD didn't put a V6 in this version, if they did, it would definitely punch a hole in their Raptor sales since the X will become a true baby raptor at almost 15% off. My experience so far with the BiTurbo is that its just enough for what it needs to do (At least the on-road portion), you wont be winning any 0-100km/hr sprint, but its not exactly a slouch either, it'll get the job done for you. If you wanna overtake that StarTrack truck, you got it, wanna overtake that AusPost van, no problem... but wanna give that nice SUVs a run for its money... the joke will likely be on you esp if its an uphill thing. Noise is the second issue, the V6 in comparison is almost like a petrol engine, the noise is non existent within the cabin. The BiTurbo on the other hand, oh you'll hear it, and boy you'll hear it a lot. It will constantly remind you that you're driving a pickup truck.... emphasizing on the word "Truck". Lastly, this could be just my X, but sometimes i could feel some sort of a vibration coming from either transmission/engine esp in the lower RPM range, but then again, this is my first ever experience with a Diesel engine, let alone a pickup truck, so my expectations might be different (coming from a Tesla M3 daily). Still, this car has been so far a 10/10 for me. Value for money is subjective, but boy does it put a smile on my face... esp night driving and those Matrix LEDs are not gimmicks, it doesn't only follow your steering wheel, but rather it auto moves depending on where you're driving, it will use the left light to high beam the signs that you need to see whilst leaving the right high beam off , as a car comes into view, it will auto dim like a projector and will resume once the car passes. In darker ares, both will move and converge in the center, you will then see a projector screen (No joke) and it will slowly widen for you as you drive in the dark. Its a huge shame that you can't test this at a dealership because it really requires you to drive at night to experience it all. I Love it. Anyways, given the upgrades that the X have, it was worth the asking price for me. Asking for a V6 is a bit too much and I'd be expecting to pay 89k drive away, which then I might as well look into the Raptor for a few Ks more. The X as it stands is a well balanced package.
Nice walk through. I have one on Order to be delivered in mid Feb. I dont tow so dont need the V6 and I like the off Road Upgrades it has over the normal Wildtrak
yep, I had an Everest Sport as a Loaner and an XLT Ranger for a day each while my Car was in Service / Repair. The V6 is nice but the Bi Turbo has plenty of go. Also, Wait Time on the V6 was a big factor for me too@@DaveoAU
The main thing missing that stopped me buying was no V6 version

I think its called Meteor Grey. A great color and one that I would've chosen if I could still order a new X.
If the x came in v6, it woulda sold heaps, they missed a beat there
