Wearing the traditional Japanese dress is an experience and people should try it! But tourists should also be respectful of it when they are in costume and in their country. I think that's the key. I would hate to be a local and see someone in traditional dress running around and acting like a fool :-/ Keep it up and safe travels!
OMG it was such a breath-taking view in the park. Most amazingly the way you look in the Kimono is killing me. You look gorgeous in it, especially in red-colored kimono. Lucky you to be in Japan, such a peaceful and harmonious community, very respectful and clean. Keep posting but make sure you have your good rest first!! My mother owned a beautiful kimono that her boyfriend later her husband and my father brought her back from Japan in 1951. My mother passed away two years ago at age 91, so I passed the kimono on to my sister who owns it now. The kimono was made of silk and is still beautiful more than 70 years later.

You’re right though about how the Japanese are very helpful to foreigners. I lived and worked there for 3 years. In my experience you don’t need to speak the language to visit that amazing country.

Granted I’m just watching this video posting years later. I’ve seen other vbloggers jump into a kimono also white women from other countries, but the one issue I have about each one of you were this one thing? None of you know how to actually model these beautifully designed kimonos to their best. You take three seconds to have one full length head to to shot. No slowly walking in a circle to see how it looks on your particular form. Especially since your height is not commonly seen in this attire. Sure males are taller, but not so much female models. But then this being your first destination after arriving in this country and how you’re feeling physically didn’t allow you to fully take advantage of embellishing the experience. Oh, it’s good to know that taxi cab drivers still have control over their car doors on either side of the cars. I wish that was something all cab drivers had control globally, because it just seem like a no brainer. Now what a interesting situation that could have happened if you and the two other YT bloggers got together and coordinated going to do this kimono wearing experience. The other lives in Japan and is from Australia, and the other person I can’t remember, because I don’t follow her at all, except for that one instance. I believe she was from the US. Three long limb blond females visiting the neighboring parks to have this great photo shoot in a kimono. Their postings were around the same time as this one. I’m now wonder what it was during that time you all were interested in experiencing it at the same time. Yes you must walk like a traditional Japanese female, because space their is very limited, as opposed to the wide open spaces of the North American continent. Where you must move aggressively through space to run from cars and wild creatures and any fast moving objects which may kill you. We’re from a relatively young continent and civilizations than those in the Far East or Asian countries. Well except for the pacific island civilizations in that region of the globe.
