There are 16 frozen corn dogs in the $10 box. That's 0.63 per corn dog. There's a 22 pack for $12.84. That's 0.58 ea. The bigger the box, the better value it is, pretty much for everything. That's one reason we buy massive.
@@janetsanford6923 the State Fair corn dogs are the name brand. Great Value is not great, but okay. Bar S corn dogs are pretty freaking nasty. I like the Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage corn dog with the pancake batter.
Some have limited types of furniture and some have more variety. The Walmart by my house only has a small selection, but the one by the highway is huge and has a ton to pick from.
Some have a burger King other locations have MCDONALDS. Others have subway. Some locations don't have a fast food store at all. Some have a bank in there. Alot of them have a eyeglasses store. They all have a pharmacy. These food/ bank /eyeglasses are located at the front of the store next the rows of check out area.
Walmart super stores have everything. Car maintenance, pharmacy, beauty shops, fast food, groceries, clothing, household that includes furniture, decor, cleaning supplies, etc. you name it, its there. 😊
Milli has been obsessed with cupcake goldfish since someone sent them. People have been sending her boxes full of cupcake goldfish every since. However those ones are only seasonal/limited addition items.
Me too, I was wondering if it was just some crazy lady following them. It was only when she said something about asking his mom a question that I realized the lady in the hat was actually with them!! 🤣😂🤣😂
When I was in high school we had an exchange student from Finland who wore her worst clothes to the USA. She bought three suitcases when she got here and when she went home she had entire new wardrobe. She filled two of the suitcases with various Levi jeans in various sizes and when she got home she sold all of the jeans to her classmates. You might say she was loved by everyone.
The Costa Rican exchange student that my parents hosted in the mid-1980s came back to visit 10 years later for their class reunion. By then he was married with a couple of small children (who all stayed at home in CR). He bought at least one new suitcase to take home all of the new stuff he bought for his family (mostly clothing for them all and toys for the kids, IIRC).
Lol, cereal comes in a variety of sizes. Depending on how big the family is or how often they eat cereal, you might buy a bigger or smaller box. Not everyone is buying mega boxes.
At the end, when they were talking about someone "packing their bags", they simply meant the cashier was loading the plastic bags with their purchases instead of them having to do it themselves.
You're right, I wonder if he figured that out yet... I'm just glad they didn't have to do the Self Checkout thing. That would have really confused them... 😊
They aren't even showing big packages. Our family shops once a month. Everyone is different. If they shop more often, they buy less at a time. Also size of family and storage room. We live in the country and where weather can trap us in winter,so we stock up once a month.
I shop weekly for produce, but yeah. Most items don't need to be bought weekly. Also, those large ass tubs of stuff are either for folks to last a month or more, or for people with larger families to feed. :)
Walmart does EVERYTHING. Furniture, food, clothes, toys, jewelry, out door recreation, automotive, including a garage that fixes your car, seasonal stuff…
Honestly they showed half the store. Its a Supercenter So it would have a car service station in the back to buy tires , batteries Ect. It would have a a homewhare section where you can buy everything from pots and pans to a couch or recliner There is a camping/ outdoors section selling BBq grills ,tents, kayaks, guns, ect Then there is the Pharmacy with pills first aid Ect. Then there is the Eyeglass Dr, and maybe a hair salon as well. Then there is the body area soaps shampoo razers, ect It also has a garden center that sells plants, lawnmowers, fertilizer ect And some Walmarts will have a restaurant inside of Walmart . Mine has a pizza place, but it had a McDonald's in it for 20 years before that. Some have Subway the Sandwich shop.
Just an fyi! We bake nothing anymore Lol. I work in the deli… they are “thawed” in an oven lol. Everything is completely cooked and can last over 10 years lol. NOTHING is actually cooked. Nothing is fresh. Those cookies could be 2 years old and just now being thawed lol. The sticker on the outside doesnt get added until heat up. NOTHING i repeat NOTHING is fresh. You should see videos of us stocking frozen stuff lol. They literally take pallets of frozen items to the floor… leave them out for 5 and 6 hours while working them… only to have them half way melt and drip everywhere… its why your ice cream is always covered in that weird ice lol. Walmart is literally making people sick daily and having such a large influence no one knows because people in most communities have no other choice.
I definitely know about the stocking stuff. I used to love to do my grocery shopping at 2:30 in the morning when nobody was there and would see everything rolled out for the stocking and just water dripping everywhere. I get there when they were bringing stuff and made friends with a lot of the stockers and they would cut the boxes and let me just get what I wanted fresh. and now I can tell my friend that I was right I told her that the cookies and stuff in Walmart that they always taste like they’ve been frozen and she swears up and down there fresh baked every day I do remember when Walmart first came to the town that I lived in we were like wanna probably the last places to get a Walmart a glass window in the morning
The pretzels at the beginning were different kinds not just different colors. Original and everything pretzels. No one cares, I know, but I had to say it.
Pretzel thins actually. Flatter and crispier than regular pretzels. Made to be more like chips for dips. They’ve done the same with pita and bagel slices.
LOL They were talking about the Cashier bagging up the items they bought. The only place that doesn't do that here is Aldi's. The exception being if you go through a Self Checkout, and then of course you bag your own items. Walmart started off as a General Store. The Super Market side came about with the Super Centers. They just added on a section, and put a whole @$$ Super Market inside of an already massive General Store.
The Rice Krispies treats were originally home-made back in the 1950s - 60s using Rice Krispies and melted marshmallows. Later recipes used marshmallow fluff. Finally everyone got lazy and they came out with a ready-made version, which you're seeing here.
It's called Bidenomics for a reason. People get what they voted for, and people were warned this was going to happen by you-know-who. We're seeing the truth before our eyes.
Facts unfortunately it's not just the US I have family in Europe and the wars going on are making inflation everywhere not just us..cuz its not anything we're doing to start this but a war brings it to us all unfortunately
Omg yes! We're spending 300 a week and there's still hardly anything to eat, when for 200 we were eating well. Fast food is RIDICULOUS and I haven't seen a steak since 2020
something tells me that you haven't changed what you're buying though. If it really is killing you, you'd be making adjustments. That's how you affect change in capitalism. You don't just keep paying higher prices and bitch about it, you change what you buy. There are $150 foods out there that will feed families of 4 for a week. It's not inflation so much as it is that companies realized that everyone would keep paying higher prices during the pandemic and never lowered them because haven't forced them to.
K-mart used to be Walmart's biggest rival, now it's Target, but Target stores aren't as widespread as Walmart stores. When we had a K-Mart in Tupelo, Mississippi, we had two Walmart stores and then one of the Walmart stores upgraded to a Supercenter across the street from the mall where K-mart was. They also put in a Sam's store (similar to CostCo). Tupelo was the first town to have one of each Walmart store because we had a Walmart, a Supercenter, a Sam's, and a Bud's Retail Outlet. Bud's was Walmart's experiment to ride out the lease in stores that were moved or upgraded so they could sell returned goods that were still sellable and various deals. It didn't last long, but several other companies started doing the same thing across the country, kind of like when a Pizza Hut or McDonald's moves and then other businesses move in. The Thanksgiving horror movie takes place in a vacated Walmart store to simulate the old school Black Friday riots. :)
Walmart actually started out as a discount department store. None of them around me had groceries until the late 80's. So, a Super Walmart will have car tires with services to change your oil and put said car tires on; other small parts for gas powered tools like batteries for your boat and lawn mower, spark plugs and air filters for those same things, etc.; small car decor and parts like pads to sit on, car wash supplies, motor oil and filters, etc.; Small tools that could be battery powered, electric, or hand held like hammers, circular saws, electric screwdrivers, etc.; house paint and spray paint and a color station where those can be colored; other goods to keep the household repaired like air filters for the AC units, wood and metal screws, sump pumps, toilet repair kits; and the like... these will vary by region as the desert doesn't need sump pumps and no one in the midwest has a swamp cooler; household items like bath towels, small kitchen appliances; ceiling fans and regular fans, bed sheets, pots and pans, trash cans; various containers to pack things away, etc.; cleaning supplies for just about everything... from cleaning your car and laundry to acid washing your tub and all the mops, sponges, and gloves you need to go with it; clothing for the whole family including intimates; a pharmacy and everything that you see in one of those from vitamins to toothpaste to tampons to knee wraps; furniture and other household decor; sewing supplies including fabrics and sewing machines; office and school supplies including printers and computers; televisions, gaming consoles, and stereos and all the little bits and bobs that go along with those; toys, games and bicycles; DVDs and ... believe it or not... CDs; pet food and products including flea sprays/collars and carrying cages for all kinds of pets like birds, cats, fish, and dogs(some in my area even have a small selection of horse supplies); and then... a whole grocery store. Up front of the store you will see everything from small banks to Subway to hair salons but almost all of them have a place to get prescription glasses with an optometrist.
In the old days, manufacturers only got roughly 15-20% of the retail price of a product - most of the cost went to the distribution networks - you had to hire a national distributor who in turn had regional distributors and the regional distributors had local distributors. Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart, decided to cut out the distributors and bought directly from the manufacturers. So that is three levels of profit-making that he cut out which allowed him to sell the same product at lower prices. He was so successful that started the rise of the chain stores who followed suit. Of course that put the distributors out of business but consumers benefitted from lower prices. Unfortunately that also made us a throw-away society and the only repair shops left are for big ticket items like cars.
They mentioned Texas a couple of times, and point out their Texas flag in the store. In Texas there are only a handful of places that make you pay for your plastic bags. Also, they mention target a few times, which is another huge store that is similar to Walmart. Walmart is the less expensive of the two in general, but not always. You can think of it like this, if they were restaurants, Walmart would be a drive-through fast food place, and target is a slightly higher quality place that you actually have to sit down and dine in, but like it wouldn’t have tablecloths or waiters.
They definitely had to change their slogan and remove the guarantee because once upon a time of you could show them a lower price advertised ANYWHERE they had to price match. That had to have been hard to keep up with
Walmart is higher than the grocery stores and their products are garbage for the most part. There is a super Walmart 5 mins from my home and I rarely go there. They do not have the lowest prices and they all vary in prices at each location even though they have several in one city. It's ridiculous and I hate going into them.
Add to my previous comment about my local grocery store... They not only pack your groceries in free bags, the bag person will walk you out to your car and help unload the cart (trolley). Then they returned empty cart back to the store. They don't do that at Walmart. It's much appreciated by this 77 year-old shopper!
15:46 that whole aisle is breakfast foods... one side is cereal (cold breakfast) and the other side is 'hot' breakfast foods (you have to heat it up or cook it)...
We tend to pack our kids lunches, so we get individually wrapped snacks to go in their lunch boxes. In my house, we will buy large packages, break them out into “snack size” zip bags and set up the kid’s snacks for the week so all we have to do is make the main meal the night before and assemble the box and put it in the fridge overnight. Their drinks are also in individual boxes so the whole thing is ready to grab the next morning to put in their backpacks.
19:14 some products (usually food products) are seasonal.. meaning that a specific flavor will only be out at certain times of the year... OR it's a 'promotional' flavor, meaning that they only put it out for sale for a limited amount of time, then they don't bring it back... they are just testing to see how well it does and if it does well and there is demand for it to return, they may start making it full time.. it's goldfish that is cupcake flavored...
Keep in mind that a lot of the stuff in Walmart is big boxes of stuff. So just like the cereal was huge, that box of corn dogs may have 20 or 30 corn dogs in it
9:50 every grocery store will have fresh veggies and fruits... and some will even have pre-cut veggies and fruit... now that's not to say that some stores will have veggies and fruit that is starting to go bad or even rotting, they will have some stores like that, but overall most stores are good about dealing with that quickly... and even walmart will occasionally miss something BUT if you point it out to an employee (of any store), they will quickly get someone to come fix it... only the worst stores won't try and change it immediately...
This is why it's difficult to determine a cost difference by comparison from videos unless it's up close. From a distance you can't tell the size, type, quantity, and sometimes the brand of items. Those factors will usually change the cost. They are in a Walmart. They can buy a suitcase there and just check another bag on the flight. All things are possible.
11:30 a 'hot/cold' bag is insulated to keep the temperature of whatever food you place inside it... they cost slightly more than a normal 'reusable' bag.. but worth it for keeping foods at the right temp...
It is common in the South for grocery stores to have what are called “ bag boys” who bag your groceries and then take them to your car and put them into your car for you.
An large bottle of vegetable oil lasts my family about three months for frying. I fry something once or twice a week. The oil can be run through a paper coffee filter after it has cooled and returned to the bottle for continued use several times. I have a separate bottle for use as an ingredient for baking and such... so there is always a bottle of clean oil and a bottle of not so clean oil in my kitcheb
No we don't deep fry everything. I don't own a deep fryer and I don't deep fry anything.but I do use oil In a frying pan to fry breaded chicken cutlets or breaded eggplant. You do use oil in cake mixes and brownie mix.
Lewis, they have a pharmacy, small Bank, fast food restaurant like subways or Burger King, they have a vision center to get prescription glasses, a garden center, HomeGoods, clothing, electronics, toys, hunting and guns, hair salon, bakery, pet section, grooming in toiletries, jewelry section, baby section and things for toddlers, and more that i can't think of right now.
13:32 my local walmart has 26 (groceries only) aisles (including frozen) and that's not including the deli, veggie and fruit stands, and fridge sections on the walls that wrap around the grocery section OR the alcohol aisles (6 of those)
Yo I'm a huge fan of your channel. As an American I really appreciate your open mind to our way of life. Our country gets a bad wrap until people actually come over here or need us to kick some ass lol. That being said watching you guys tour Walmart like it's Disney world is both hilarious and sad at the same time 😂
They call jello jelly. I’m not sure which side of the pond changed the meaning of jelly, but since we don’t have jellied eels I’m leaning to it being the US.
while traveling, if you put any container that has liquid in it in your suitcase. also put it into a ziplock bag in case it leaks or explodes due to air pressure changes while flying.. it'll save you a ton of clean up. when I left the Army and started working as a contractor for the Army overseas, I would take vacations back to the U.S. and while home, I would buy all the stuff I felt that I needed when I went back overseas. I would then box it all up and ship it through the Postal Service or even FedEx/UPS. it was MUCH cheaper than packing it in my suitcase and paying extra for the weight. I used to ship around 150 lbs in two large boxes this way each vacation back home.
Brilliant. I did something similar in Pittsburgh when I was at a 4-day conference many years ago. Found king size pillows I loved but no space in my luggage, so the sales lady packed them in a box, had me fill out the shipping label and added the shipping charge to my bill. Obviously, they had done this before. It was very much appreciated.
I do MONTHLY food stops and then go back because I no doubt forgot something. Remember we have HUGE refrigerators and usually a second ice box in the garage/basement/pantry/whatever. Some states you have to pay for bags, some don't do plastic at all. You usually pay just $0.10/bag. Some Walmarts sell guns, it depends on the state and county. There is usually a pro bagger who is paid to bag your grocery wares.
2:21 whenever you have a product from a company and there are different colors to the packaging, that indicates there are different flavors or types of that product from that company... thus there were different flavors for the pretzels they were looking at... think of the different colors of bags of MnM's...
This is UA-cam now. It's British reacters reacting to British reacters. Soon The Beesleys will be reacting to Lewis' first time eating Texas Barbeque. Mark my words.
The problem is that there's probably thousands of videos of first trip to Walmart first trip to Bass Pro shop, first trip to whatever and then when you have an active reactors Channel at some point you've now seen five or six people's first time going to Walmart and every one of them is basically the same. Oh my gosh you have so much cereal! Wow so many potato chips! Oh my God so many Oreo options. We need some original stuff! I always give Lewis a thumbs up on his videos and stuff just because of loyalty to his channel but sometimes I do just let it play for the first 2 minutes so it gives them a watch credit and a thumbs up but I don't watch the video the whole time because they're so repetitious.
You can find good fresh vegetables. Easily. If you're in a big city that doesn't support local farmers in a farmers market you may have trouble but everywhere else you can. Most rural foods grow their own too. You'll see vegetable stands along the road or in parking lots too. They're literally everywhere. I haven't shopped at Walmart in over a decade. They suck compared to other food stores. I spend about $50-$60 a week to feed 3 people. Occasionally i spend a little more. When my garden is producing i probably spend about $25-$30 a week. I hunt though and have chickens and a few other animals so i don't have to buy much. It's a choice on how you want to live and what you want to eat. Our grocery stores pack your bags and will take your cart to your car for you. In my town they have free coffee for adults and free fresh fruit for the kids to have while you shop.
I live 40 minutes away from the nearest grocery store. I do not do a weekly food shop. I go when I have to and I get everything I can. I have a huge fridge and two backup freezers at home.
11:46 some states you have to pay for bags. Some areas you will not find plastic bags, instead will sell fabric shopping bags for $1, then (if you remember) bring them next time you come shopping. 🛍️
7:45 some people do daily shops, some do weekly, some do bi-weekly, some do monthly. and some items you stock up on for several months... so different sizes are good for all these people... my household does monthly with some items larger to last several months... (like 50lbs bag of rice)... I had a friend that would buy for 6 months at a time as he lived very far from any towns and didn't like driving the 60+ miles just to grocery shop. he had 5 deep freezers for all the meat and frozen stuff. (he'd buy a whole cow and have a butcher make all the cuts for different parts... he used 2 of the freezers just for that) Additionally, when you have several people and/or multiple children (of various ages, but teens eat the most), it helps to have larger sizes....
The furniture is usually your college dorm variety of particle board (shredded wood glued and pressed together) and plastic. Great for if you are on a budget, but not if you were trying to impress the in-laws. Wal-Mart comes in various sizes. The kinds where you have a full grocery section will be a Supercenter. It will have a fast food counter inside, plus maybe a hair or nail salon, and usually a bank, optometrist, or tax preparer at the front of the store. Some may even sell gasoline at a Murphy's gas station out in the parking lot. There are some old Walmarts that aren't Supercenters. They are usually in small towns, and they don't have all of the things I've mentioned. These are just your basic Walmarts. They're fine for getting necessities, but they may have just a couple of rows for groceries and one freezer. They are probably 1/6 the size of a Supercenter.
Our local Walmarts have the food section with a deli, of course, a department store with clothing, furniture and housewares, a home repair section and hardware, an automotive and camping section and a garden center. Plus they have a pharmacy, an eye center and a hair and nails section.
Every time you go all gaga over snacks, I am reminded of the Christmas I became “best auntie ever.” There was about 15 children under 10yo in the family at the time, and they all had too many toys imo. For each child, I filled a grocery bag of their favorite snacks & candies and told them they didn’t have to share. 😅
Yep, most Walmarts have a furniture section and a household goods section like small appliances and other kitchen stuff. And a second for bedroom stuff.
We buy deep fried food, but most of us aren’t deep frying food at home all the time. Much the same that I would not expect Brits to make homemade deep fried fish n chips every night for dinner😂
29:11 when I lived overseas as a military contractor after leaving the Army, I would take my vacation time and go back home to visit family. while home, I would buy things that I needed (or wanted) for my place overseas that I couldn't get there... I would take all that stuff and pack it in boxes and have them shipped to my place overseas. it was MUCH cheaper than paying the airline for the extra baggage or extra weight.. USPS (postal service) and FedEx and UPS were very good about getting my stuff overseas... and it was usually there waiting for me within days of be getting back. only once did it take almost a month... I use to ship around 150lbs of stuff each time.. (in several medium boxes). I did this for around 6 years and LOVED the shopping during the vacation because I knew that I would have the hard to get stuff that everyone else wanted back overseas....
The corndogs is a big box of them so a good price. There is like 16 or 20 in that box. Yes, most of us do weekly food shopping. Bigger containers are better for a family. These packages are just regular Walmart sized. We have big box club stores, like Costco, Sam's and BJs, where we can buy things bulk. Those are the really big packages of everything. Cupcake goldfish are goldfish in a vanilla cookie flavor. No, we don't pay for bags, and they pack all our bags when we shop.
4:11 that looks like an Angel food cake snack with vanilla icing.... a fluffy white cake with white icings covering it. I'd have to get a better shot or scour the walmart website to be sure...
I shop once a month. The best Ranch dressing is the Buttermilk Ranch (the original) Hidden Valley Ranch! Jello shots are AWESOME! The packet calls for 1 or 2 cups (depending on size of packet) hot water to dissolve the powder & 1 or 2 cups cold water, replace cold water with spirits. Vodka or Rum is the favorite here! Then, pour into shot glass sized cups (with lids) & chill in refrigerator 4 to 8 hours! Just keep them away from children!
When I went to visit a friend and her family that were living in Belgium for a few years, I packed 2 suitcases for the trip over. One large suitcase full of all the things they missed from America. Food, toiletries, household items…. I packed a smaller suitcase for my clothes and such On the way home I just put my smaller suitcase into the larger one so I only had I bag on the return flight. You could do the same in reverse when you come to America. Or just buy a second suitcase when you are here. Easy to buy at Walmart, Target or similar stores.
the best advise to get stuff that is hard to find in Europe but easy to find in the U.S. is have a 'shopping buddy' in the U.S. and set up a pay account with them so that they can go do your shopping for you and ship it to you and you pay them back through the pay account... this worked for me when I lived overseas for several years when I couldn't come back to the States to do my own shopping.... the best ones are close family, or friends, but you could also try and trust a good fan... and don't feel guilty about the customs issues. most Americans are willing to jump through flaming hoops to help someone, especially with a new experience or to show off America..
I’m in North Carolina and we still have free plastic bags. Also they were referring to the cashier at Walmart putting their items into the plastic Walmart bags.
I'm in Oregon, my local Walmart doesn't have plastic bags at all you have to bring your own bags. Then at the local Safeway grocery store bags are 5 cents each.
Yes, you're trippin'. That's a box of corn dogs, so there's 16 individual corn dogs for $10. Buy your extra suitcase here, they sell them at Walmart, CHEAP.
❤Sometimes a certain flavor of of an item is seasonal or is sold during certain Holidays...Like the classic ribbon candy is only shipped to certain Retail change Stores during the Christmas Season....this includes each department has seasonal too...For example, Sporting Goods will have life jackets, folding camping chairs in summer. Then ice-fishing equipment, Outdoor Clothing, hand warmers, hunting items in the Fall/Winter. The store will change inventory on average every week.😊😊😊
7:53 my kids are older now, but when they were younger and I was home with them shopping for a family of 5 about 10 years ago, it was a weekly trip to the grocery store for perishable foods and about once a month and Costco for the bulk items and second freezer and pantry stocking about once a month.
About 10 years ago, I had a job stocking shelves in Walmart in the Orlando, Florida area, specifically in the Health and Beauty section of the store. We would have full tour buses arrive. The shoppers would go to the luggage section to buy suitcases and then load up on items to bring back home. All the mascara would be cleared out in less than an hour.
The one I briefly worked at near the Canadian border in WA state would run out of milk. Apparently we subsidize corn to feed the cows so that milk is cheaper in the US than in Canada. They would come down and fill a shopping cart with gallons of milk. They would also buy shoes and leave the cardboard box outside on the sidewalk or in the parking lot. If you brought new shoes over the border you had to pay a tax, so they just wore them and left the trash for us to pick up.
22:01 the 'buffalo' flavor is the original hot sauce on chicken wings... it's a tangy (vinegar based) cayenne pepper sauce. I enjoy it on any fried chicken product. (nuggets, strips, wings, paddies, ect...)
Too much of a pain in the ass and too messy. I have one of those big bottles of oil, but just because I like a big pantry living so far away from a grocery store, not because I go through a bottle a week.
I looked this up. Left some off that were kind of duplicates. (It makes sense to the Accounting Department.) One of the largest departments in walmart is "impulse buys" 82. It represents all of those clips strips with random merchandise dangling in all the aisles and a lot of the stuff around the cash wraps. It includes things that really wont fit into any other department.
01 Candy and Tobacco is more a classification for the area around the service register that has the cigarettes and not the products. Most of the candy is in other departments. I did inventory work for a contractor of Walmart for over ten years
Big food shop is once a month with a smaller one toward month end usually. You also have to realize that most people also have a chest freezer to keep food in. Personally, I have a chest freezer, an upright freezer, then the freezer on top of the fridge. We also have to drive 30 minutes just to buy milk, so we usually keep 2 of everything. The one we’re using & an extra. Whenever you open the extra, you buy another one. You definitely keep a pantry when it’s not a quick trip to the store.
When I was growing up, Walmarts were not all super stores. The Walmart closest to my house was not a superstore, which meant it didn’t have a grocery section. It only sold all the houseware, medicine, clothes, toys, bikes, toiletries, etc. that Walmart also sells, but it did not have groceries. Now, almost all, if not all Walmarts are superstores that also sell groceries. there are some “Walmart neighborhood markets” now too, which sell only groceries! There are sometimes when I go 3 weeks between grocery trips, lol.
1:29 the way walmarts are laid out is this. there are two entrances in the front of the building, facing the parking lot... (there are MORE entrances also, one in the front for Gardening and one on the side of the building for Automotive that is also a mechanic shop) for the two in the front, there is the 'Grocery' side (usually the Right-hand side, BUT can be reversed and be on the Left-hand side) and the 'Pharmacy' side (usually on the Left-hand side, but again, it can be reversed and be on the Right-hand side.)... these are the sections the door is closest to... the Grocery side when you walk in, there are all the groceries (and deli and 'bakery' (not a real one, just where they sale the 'baked' goods) ) on the Right of the doors and clothes to the left of the doors and main aisle that goes straight back from the doors to the back of the store. usually something like pets or baby will be behind the cloths as you go towards the back of the store.... the Pharmacy side will have the main aisle going to the back of the store with Pharmacy and Health and Wellness to the Left and again Cloths to the Right. there will be other stuff as you go towards the back on the Left side past Pharmacy, like Home and Office, Bedding, Furniture, ect.. and it'll end up at Hardware and/or Sporting to the Left and Electronic to the Right.. the other departments will be behind cloths at the back (like Shoes) or to the far Left of the Home and Office.. like Automotive, Gardening, Toys, ect... now each walmart can be laid out slightly different with some departments in different places, but Pharmacy with Health and Wellness will always be to the Left of the Pharmacy entrance and Groceries will always be to the Right of the Grocery entrance and Clothes will always be in the middle... (unless the entrances are reversed, then they will also be reversed with Pharmacy on the Right and Groceries on the Left...) 247wallst.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/updated-walmart-floor-plan.jpg
Jello is a brand name and has both gelatin type desserts (the jiggly kind) and pudding (like a thick mousse). That oreo one was the pudding and it's good. My son adds whipped cream to it and makes an oreo pie. The 9 shelves he was counting was different teas. To me, Little Debbie's is a cheaper version of Hostess (the makers of Twinkies). It has an artificial taste to me but a lot of people like them. Walmart has a few furniture items. Futon, desk, tv stands with drawers, etc. It also sells towels, sheets, blankets, camping stuff, dog/cat/bird stuff, gardening plants, swimming pool supplies, pharmacy items, appliances for your kitchen, luggage, etc. I've been watching an english family go shopping in the UK and it does seem like your prices are better there, even for the same size items. So, the US is a little more expensive (except when you find roadside stands selling fruits/vegetables in a farming area). **and if you ask, Walmart in California quit selling guns years ago. They may still sell them in some states. They use to sell guns and ammo by the camping items. Oh and most Walmarts sell car items, oil, installs tires, changes oil (some do not but still sell the car items-oil, floor mats, cleaning items, etc)
Only certain Walmart carry guns depending on what location like you in the city like in Orlando they don’t sell guns but and more of a country town they sell guns
7:40 How often you shop depends on how far you live from a supermarket, the size of your fridge and pantry, and what you're buying. Buying in bulk is usually cheaper in the long run. You have to factor in the cost of gas if you live in a rural area. If you live in an urban area, you can probably walk to a supermarket or drive close by but you will notice the yearly expense might be higher because you are spending more on individual portion sizes. As someone who lives with a big family in California, we do once a month shopping for most goods like rice, beans, grains, fruits. But we probably do weekly or biweekly shopping for meats and vegetables. Dairy products can be a bit of a gamble.
Honestly never have cashiers, maybe one working. There is an attendant if you have a question while ringing up your own items. I had so much stuff I had to buy for work the last time I was there for a big party we were having, so I went at night when I thought I would have a cashier to ring it all up. Nope! Had to ring every item myself! The first batch of items went on another card, only to discover they don't have wallet pay, so had to void off all of those items! It's a pain in the ass to go to that filthy store , and feels like they should pay you for all the work you had to do by the time you leave! But they're not going to pay the customers, they don't even pay their employees! They cut their hours so they don't have to pay for their health insurance also. Walmart just sucks!!
@@Ofthegirl09I agree. I checked out several items only to find they don't accept cash. I told the lady I'm keeping my thoughts to myself or else you'll call me a Karen! My thoughts were, "you're making me do the work myself. I should be able to pay the way I want!"
5:23 two thing are at work here... 1st, they were in CA first, so everywhere besides NY is going to be cheaper in prices... 2nd, the inflation we've been dealing with for the past 4 years have skyrocketed all prices to unbelievable amounts.. what you could have bought for $100 5 years ago will cost you @ $350 now...
You can walk into a Walmart and leave with milk, bread, eggs, a TV, a canoe, and a rifle. 😄
Don't forget leggings, roller skates, laundry detergent and motor oil! 😂

And a spare tire.
And a big bottle of Tylenol!

There are 16 frozen corn dogs in the $10 box. That's 0.63 per corn dog. There's a 22 pack for $12.84. That's 0.58 ea. The bigger the box, the better value it is, pretty much for everything. That's one reason we buy massive.
Yeah, I get those all the time and they're pretty good. It's better than paying $2.79 for the same size corn dog at Sonic's drive-thru.

Yes Walmart has furniture , office supplies , literally everything you could want
Some Walmarts have banks, eye doctors, pizza hut restaurants, hair salon and auto repair shops.
We only have American parties on July 4th. The cups and most other things will be red white and blue😊
Yes, Walmart has furniture, car parts and tires, tools, house paints, plumbing, sewing, and so much more.
Some have limited types of furniture and some have more variety. The Walmart by my house only has a small selection, but the one by the highway is huge and has a ton to pick from.
They started out with those. It’s the groceries that are new.
They even have a Burger King
Some have a burger King other locations have MCDONALDS.
Others have subway. Some locations don't have a fast food store at all. Some have a bank in there. Alot of them have a eyeglasses store. They all have a pharmacy. These food/ bank /eyeglasses are located at the front of the store next the rows of check out area.

We generally shop once a month, or couple of weeks. The large sizes of things are meant to be used over time.
Its a Supercenter
So it would have a car service station in the back to buy tires , batteries Ect.
It would have a a homewhare section where you can buy everything from pots and pans to a couch or recliner
There is a camping/ outdoors section selling BBq grills ,tents, kayaks, guns, ect
Then there is the Pharmacy with pills first aid Ect.
Then there is the Eyeglass Dr, and maybe a hair salon as well.
Then there
is the body area soaps shampoo razers, ect
It also has a garden center that sells plants, lawnmowers, fertilizer ect
And some Walmarts will have a restaurant inside of Walmart .
Mine has a pizza place, but it had a McDonald's in it for 20 years before that.
Some have Subway the Sandwich shop.
Very good video man. This was fun. 👏
Those sugar cookies and muffins are Fresh Baked daily in the store which makes them a bit more pricey.

I used to spend 150 for a weeks worth of food. Now, i spend 250 a week for a family of 4 inflation is killing us.
Fast food is RIDICULOUS and I haven't seen a steak since 2020
You're buying trash.
something tells me that you haven't changed what you're buying though.

It's a myth that Walmart always has the lowest prices.
No. That's Erehwon.
Note the sarcasm.
They used to try, but couldn't keep it up. They changed their motto to "always a LOW price" but not "lowest"...
They definitely had to change their slogan and remove the guarantee because once upon a time of you could show them a lower price advertised ANYWHERE they had to price match. That had to have been hard to keep up with
Walmart doesn’t have to have the lowest prices anymore. They ran out all the mom and pop stores years ago so now they can charge whatever they want.

It’s ~ 7400 sq. Meters = 80000 sq. Ft. Just a little larger than your soccer/football fields
Walmart is massive but when you've been there over 1,000 times it becomes small lol.

some products (usually food products) are seasonal.. meaning that a specific flavor will only be out at certain times of the year... OR it's a 'promotional' flavor, meaning that they only put it out for sale for a limited amount of time, then they don't bring it back... they are just testing to see how well it does and if it does well and there is demand for it to return, they may start making it full time..

every grocery store will have fresh veggies and fruits... and some will even have pre-cut veggies and fruit... now that's not to say that some stores will have veggies and fruit that is starting to go bad or even rotting, they will have some stores like that, but overall most stores are good about dealing with that quickly... and even walmart will occasionally miss something BUT if you point it out to an employee (of any store), they will quickly get someone to come fix it... only the worst stores won't try and change it immediately...
This is why it's difficult to determine a cost difference by comparison from videos unless it's up close. From a distance you can't tell the size, type, quantity, and sometimes the brand of items. Those factors will usually change the cost.

when I left the Army and started working as a contractor for the Army overseas, I would take vacations back to the U.S. and while home, I would buy all the stuff I felt that I needed when I went back overseas. some people do daily shops, some do weekly, some do bi-weekly, some do monthly. and some items you stock up on for several months... so different sizes are good for all these people... my household does monthly with some items larger to last several months...
I love being an aunt! ❤
Now the air fryer is a trend.
@@traciemcdaniel3660 I bought an air fryer, then quickly found that I needed a bigger one. 5 quart one now, cooks great.
@@sterlinggecko3269 I want one, but have too many little appliances with nowhere to put them!

when I lived overseas as a military contractor after leaving the Army, I would take my vacation time and go back home to visit family. while home, I would buy things that I needed (or wanted) for my place overseas that I couldn't get there...
No, we don't pay for bags, and they pack all our bags when we shop.

that looks like an Angel food cake snack with vanilla icing.... a fluffy white cake with white icings covering it.
I'd have to get a better shot or scour the walmart website to be sure...
Walmart does almost everything.
That’s a great Idea ! They could also record the shopping trip and send it for content 😊
Yeah for me and friends and family love the electronic section since forever. I have a 2.1. 65"4K TV in my bedroom and the visuals are gorgeous. 👍
Walmart definitely sells suitcases.. 😂. They sell toilet seats, bedspreads, dishes, almost anything.
If you brought new shoes over the border you had to pay a tax, so they just wore them and left the trash for us to pick up.

the 'buffalo' flavor is the original hot sauce on chicken wings... it's a tangy (vinegar based) cayenne pepper sauce. I enjoy it on any fried chicken product. (nuggets, strips, wings, paddies, ect...)
We Americans do deep fry, but not as much as you think anymore.
Too much of a pain in the ass and too messy. I have one of those big bottles of oil, but just because I like a big pantry living so far away from a grocery store, not because I go through a bottle a week.
We air fry or bake much more now!
Now that I think about it, I only ever eat deepfried food at a fair, or if it’s fried chicken from a restaurant.
I haven’t deep fried anything at home for more than 30 years. That’s what restaurants and food trucks and fairs are for.
Folks in the South still fry a lot. I know I live here lol.
pet toys and collars, cleaning supplies, stationery, bedding (sheets bed spreads) small appliances (vacuums, toasters, coffee pots)
I looked this up. Left some off that were kind of duplicates. (It makes sense to the Accounting Department.)

I love how the candy and tobacco are together.. that's just crazy... why couldn't the candy be with snacks... lol
@@mbourqueThey come from the same supplier.
One of the largest departments in walmart is "impulse buys" 82.
There are sometimes when I go 3 weeks between grocery trips, lol.

the way walmarts are laid out is this. there are two entrances in the front of the building, facing the parking lot... (there are MORE entrances also, one in the front for Gardening and one on the side of the building for Automotive that is also a mechanic shop)
for the two in the front, there is the 'Grocery' side (usually the Right-hand side, BUT can be reversed and be on the Left-hand side) and the 'Pharmacy' side (usually on the Left-hand side, but again, it can be reversed and be on the Right-hand side.)... these are the sections the door is closest to... the Grocery side when you walk in, there are all the groceries (and deli and 'bakery' (not a real one, just where they sale the 'baked' goods) ) on the Right of the doors and clothes to the left of the doors and main aisle that goes straight back from the doors to the back of the store. usually something like pets or baby will be behind the cloths as you go towards the back of the store....
the Pharmacy side will have the main aisle going to the back of the store with Pharmacy and Health and Wellness to the Left and again Cloths to the Right. there will be other stuff as you go towards the back on the Left side past Pharmacy, like Home and Office, Bedding, Furniture, ect.. and it'll end up at Hardware and/or Sporting to the Left and Electronic to the Right.. the other departments will be behind cloths at the back (like Shoes) or to the far Left of the Home and Office.. like Automotive, Gardening, Toys, ect...
now each walmart can be laid out slightly different with some departments in different places, but Pharmacy with Health and Wellness will always be to the Left of the Pharmacy entrance and Groceries will always be to the Right of the Grocery entrance and Clothes will always be in the middle... (unless the entrances are reversed, then they will also be reversed with Pharmacy on the Right and Groceries on the Left...)

Buffalo sauce is made by melting butter and adding hot sauce to it, and mixing them together
The cashiers at Wal Mart pack your bags as they ring up the items. If you want to choose self-checkout, you pack your own bags.
I should be able to pay the way I want!"

two thing are at work here...
