My soon to be wife was heartbroken!! But 3 months later, I sold it!!
That’s a whole lot of fiero!!!!
It's sad how GM destroyed so many possible new dreams when they closed down Pontiac. I'm sure those CEO will spend there eternity in Ford hell. LOL
Ford makes the engines in diesel chevrolet an gmc trucks. They dine in hell.
@@myjunkertravels6897 or maybe... Isuzu
@@randomtask4102 isuzu was bought out by dodge in 08 an then bought by ford in 09.
@@myjunkertravels6897 I appreciate your reply sir, however I believe that Isuzu is owned by a conglomerate of Japanese banks. If I'm not mistaken General Motors still holds about 10% ownership of the company as well.
@@randomtask4102 they aint since 2008.
That ragtop was pretty sweet.
Love that GTA experimental! Is it a longer wheelbase than the original too? Could have been another NSX!
Maybe if GM would have allowed Pontiac to build some of these concepts for production, they would have sold a crap ton more Fieros.
Further proof of GM blowing it out their asses when they killed Pontiac. That GTA is killer!
They look like mini corvettes
I remember the first time I saw an Opel GT in the Buick showroom window and thinking at first glance new Corvette though I never owned a Fiero I drove a few as a mechanic in a dealership and loved those GT's.
It wasn’t called the GTA Experimental. Its original nose badge was stolen years ago. The original one was shaped the same but had the Fiero Pegasus in the center and had GTP above it. GM replaced it with a production GTA badge After it was stolen. That’s why it says Trans Am on it and has the phoenix.
Fuckin GM, always killing something right when it starts getting good
GM should be ashamed of itself, all that potential, just from Pontiac alone, they did build excitement.
I'll take that 86 Turbo
The new "Corvette" is just the Fiero finally built right.
That's awesome! I really want to buy a c8 debrand it and put the fiero emblems all over it
In what year was this filmed ? thanks for the video. My buddy had an 89 Fiero GT cool car back in the day.
All you have to do is add 20 to 1984 and you will have the date it was filmed.
@@tonyd9455 2004
2004
It was probably a 1988....there were only one 1989 fiero.
I just saw this upload. Awesome!!! Are any of these actually driveable minus the old tires?
The poor man's corvette ...
Never realized GM spent so much money on different concept Fiero's.
This made my morning ❤️
Aw, thanks man!
@@christiansass The fiero was definitely cool. I have to agree with others, if it wasn't axed so early on, and given a chance and with better quality, it could've really became a monumental car for GM the way the RX7 was for Mazda or the 240 for Nissan. It could have been Neon SRT4 competition on the domestic side, or just been a more budget friendly version of the Corvette, and survived where the Camaro didn't, into the mid 2000s. I feel like with today's turbo 4s and 6s with higher compression, wilder stock cams thanks to VVL/VVT, and just edgier, more angular designs trying to act as vortex generators for better mpg and such, this car would still be a hit!
Also, traction/stability control to help all the pedestrian drivers keep control of these MR drivetrain setup cars would help greatly as far as general consumer safety and confidence.
i am looking forward to the 40th year ann.. i plan on going. i own an 87 gt. i love the pontic fiero.
The 1990 Fiero GTA Experimental would have sold well idk why they didn’t go for it
To bad all those boxes blocked the view of the last car. great job
Some cool cars! 👍
Wonder if GM still has them
From bodymans perspective you need to stretch rear out at least foot.
Yes. It would look more exotic that way.
Nice cars still.
Should have put a clear rear trunk lid on that 2 Plus 2 concept Fiero to show engine. but probably Audi had in mind with R8 design decades later. hmmm
It's sad that GM gave up on making cars
New... Corvette... not a car?
@@rickc2102 no it's a toy
Nice collection, but what was this filmed with, a potato?
Turbo charged 20 B rotary engine. I wonder how much work it would be to do the swap hmmmmm?
I miss my 86 Fiero. :( I still have her today if a jerk hadn't rear ended me.
Don't like GM at all. But the fiero was legitness for sure. What an amazing design.
GM is so stupid for getting rid of Pontiac!
They sure are
