At that pace he needs to live around 25 more years to finish a large arc like the chimera ant arc and based on the expectations I think most people expect this arc to be larger than that arc by a good amount. nope that won't happen. the anime industry is very risk averse, for good reason. With hxh there's no telling if we will get another 20 chapters or another 200+ A studio will not take that sort of gamble when they can just take any other good series and animate it. And nobody wants another AOT situation where the studio has to shuffle off the rights to the anime adaptation to another studio while holding the bag.
I am actually not expecting the anime will be back anytime soon. I just hope Togashi-san will be able to finish the manga and give us the closure we need, like Gon and Killua or the four of them will meet again as adults. That's all and I am happy

Also, it was announced that the next 10 episodes will be released in a single batch. I've heard rumors/expectations of 10 issues batches releasing every 3-4 months or so if there aren't any as of yet unknown roadblocks. But, Imo 4-8 months seems realistic assuming they keep releasing in batches. Seems Togashis’s surgery went well and he's really dedicating himself to working in hxh, hopefully while also taking care of his body

Studios don’t like taking the risk. If you develop an anime and someone buys the rights to distribute and publish it, they want as much of a guarantee as possible that they will see some return. Not to mention they want to ensure no other contracts will conflict with the new deal. Then to add Togashi’s health is the biggest red flag. It could be another 20 years and he still might not be done and only has a few more chapters to show for it. Everything an anime takes a big break it has a huge risk of losing fans of the anime. Look at one punch man views numbers. In my opinion, no one will touch it until he completely finish the manga.
One Punch Man anime lost it's numbers because season 2 was vastly inferior compared to season 1, not because they took a big break. HxH is an absolute juggernaut of popularity, as long as it gets a competent adaptation success is basically guaranteed Imo they are literally just waiting for Togashi to finish the current manga arc to start production on a new anime

If that was the case no would have finished Dragonball super. Most people in the space know animation will wax and wane. If you need more examples of anime/US animation that lose a large amounts of viewers based on time; invincible, d.grayman, blue exorcist, and even AOT. AOT numbers were through the roof and animation was top notch but it lose a huge number of views because so many fans only watches the anime and don’t have that same motivation to come back like the manga fans. (I’m talking mainly about outside of Japan: the US mostly). Japan does things in between long breaks to keep people hyped for anime that take a long time in between seasons. We get some of those things but if you ever visit Japan you will see how small of a number of those things we get here. Example: for every 1 video game related to a anime you like, they will 5 or 6 games that you will never hear about outside of Japan. This is not limited to video games.

They are unlikely to animate it until the succession war is finished so there is at least a whole arc. Problem is this arc is maybe the second longest since Togashi keeps introducing new plot lines and characters so at this rate it will still take a while to complete even if the arc ending is abrupt and ignores a lot of open plot lines which is likely considering it’s happened before in HXH.

Writing this after ch 410 was published and HxH going back on hiatus. HxH is so volatile I doubt the anime will come back until the succession war arc is completely finished which at this rate won’t be for another 2-3 years at least.
We do not know how long the arc even is, I also guess were still not even half of the arc , not even close. But what's good is togashi's story is consistent and keeps its quality.

If they do the Hunter x Hunter anime, I think they need to redo episode 1 from the beginning. I was not fond of the 2011 anime or the 1999 anime very much. 1999 is very old quality. In 2011, certain parts of the story changed, which made it worse, especially not introducing Kite in the first chapter, which was the worst move. It made anime watchers not feel for Kite like the manga does and relate to Gon. Kite is very important as he is the first hunter we see in the manga. He is introduced in the beginning when he saves Gon, and he is the one who leads Gon on to become Hunter and try to find his father. So when Gon meets Kite again, it is such a great moment, and the journey is great. I would say redo the anime from the beginning; obviously, it would be better quality. I would follow the manga word by word and event by event. Also, because you are starting from the beginning by the time you reach the current arc, Togashi would have more chapters and at least reach the dark continent if not finish it.

Es claro que con la cantidad de capítulos disponibles se puede hacer un anime, pero no es para nada sano teniendo en cuenta que nos encontramos en un arco complejo y ni siquiera finalizado. Como fan de Hunter x Hunter me acostumbré a la idea de que posiblemente el anime no regrese hasta 2030 haha (llora)

i feel like the current ark dosent translate well to anime to be honest there is so many chapters that consist of mostly dialogue or internal monologues i whould love it but i have a feeling that the anime audience might complian. plus the ark will need to be completed before anything.

From what i know most animes are just promo for mangas to sell copies so until Togashi is pumping out more volumes its hard to clear an anime buttttt wirh bleach coming back after a decade of nothing i guess anything is possible
