I have shared this video as well as another. They have helped me tremendously. One day midway sitting in my car, I got this excruciating pain in my lower back. I hurt to squat, sit, lay, etc. I was in so much pain. Fast forward, emergency room doctor ding it as strain lower back lumbar and gave me muscle relaxer. They wanted me to rest. I started to research because I felt it was something more that would help to add to the doctor recommendation. God blessed me with this video and another video and after giving those a try for a few days as well as icing my back.. I’m very thankful. I’m here today because I wanted to redo the stretches and now to leave a review. I definitely recommend trying it. ❤

This content is available from a bunch of other sources, but this is the ONLY video that doesn't have 5mins of staring at the camera talking for ages about each stretch. You put multiple stretches (essentially a back-stretch circuit) with written tips into a 5min video, showing correct form. THANK YOU.
(note that I'm all for thorough education on a subject, but sometimes you just want to get to the concise straight forward instructions, especially on UA-cam. This video is pefect.)

Did you do anything else on your days off? Did you walk also, or just was lying down in a bed (except doing these excercises shown in a clip)? I strained my lower back at the gym too, and now I lay down in a bed all day long, getting up only to eat something, or change the cold compress.

@@MIKESPORTLINE im still in the process of healing but I can offer some advice. the first few days it was impossible for me to get out of bed comfortably so I listened to my body and rested for 2/3 days. Then I was able to move more, so I walked around my house for about 30 minutes to get my body moving. Did that for like 2 more days, then I was able to do some stretches (the ones shown on this vid). I would do it 3 times a day and honestly once I started stretching that’s when the pain decreased. I also was prescribed muscle relaxers and 800mg ibuprofen, so that helped as well. Heating pads are also very helpful.
i just got back to the gym yesterday but I only went on the bike for about 30 minutes then walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes since it’s important to start slow. it’s now been 10 days since I’ve strained it and although I can still feel the pain, my mobility is much better. i still use my heating pad, stretch twice a day, and take medication when I go to work and I can feel myself improving day by day. i hope this helps! sending healing energy

If ypu have the same injury like me this video is the solution. I popped my lower back while doing heavy deadlifts accidently, couldnt walk, sit or lay down properly(getting ba k up was hell) and after doing the stretchs day and night for 1 day getting back neary to normal 95% probably and do some exercise box squats and learn to hip hinge without bending the back and eat a lot of food like protein and fats, apply ice everytime before and after stretches and apply a tiger band plaster before sleep. 100% works. Hope this helps for those who were so worried like me.

I badly sprained my back 4 months ago on the elliptical and it STILL hasnt healed. The first few days I couldnt move at all, and its *tolerable* now, but still not healed.
Just started doing stretches tonight. I already feel better... this whole time I was thinking "I shouldnt move!" but in reality, it seems moving was the solution 💀
    I'll update as I progress
9/8: These stretches have felt amazing; I've been doing them in bed for about 30 minutes tonight. Immediately relieved some pain

Even getting onto the floor after day one of a sprain feels like a challenge. I swear by the icing treatment now, and have set my phone reminder to grab the cold peas every three hour. Back to work today after the weekend so I’ll be icing while sat at my desk. People will always comment - why are you walking while leaning to one side? Well it’s called a spasm and this will be me for the next two weeks 😂 These stretches are the best for added mobility and I think I’ll be using the cross trainer at the gym from now on, for added movement in my hip flexors and lower back with emphasis on core strengthening.

I need help!!! I will not bend forward at all!! I’m terrified to try. About 2 weeks ago I squatted and was slightly bent forward to pick up a package off the floor and my lower back felt like it separated and the pain was so bad I went to my knees and could not walk or move . That happened on a Friday , the following Tuesday I had appointment with a spine specialist and was trying to get dressed and was slightly bending over to get my right leg in my pants and it did it again. I was not able to move nor go to my appointment. Healing time started all over again . I am terrified to even do any of the exercises they have to do at the er department. My lower back feels like it’s so weak and when I stand it hurts . Suppose to get an MRI soon . When I’m setting and I lift one of my legs up off the floor it hurts . I wake up from sleeping and my back hurts . Had to use a walker to get around my house . I’m not having to use walker now. I wear a mueller back strap belt to help support my spine because it feels out of balance and weak.

What can be the reason for sharp pain in the lower back in a very certain spot which hurts only in certain movements..
For an example when trying to middle split just a little bit and then i'm bending forward i feel sharp spotted pain in my lower back left side..
    * it started one day after i had to carry my 10kg dog to the vet and for an hour i had to carry him on the left side.
Day after i woke up felt pain in my middle back left side (gone after a day but still feel sometime) then i was standing turned to the left a bit and felt this sharp pain in very certain spot, for 3 months now..
I havd orthopedist in 3 weeks but just wanted to ask..
