  • Bananas bring us the luck again this session chasing some very fussy Northern Bluefin off Noosa - Danielle and I chased them around for some time in the morning not getting a touch on the metal slugs that had been working the day prior.
A switch back to the trusty Zman streakz 3.75" in pearl and it was game on. 2 for me this day and one for Danielle ..which was exactly how many bananas we had on board top...theres something in that!

Tony Lang nice 👌 tried that a few times back in my home in NZ but the sea called me so I turned to the surf (and hated the cold water of the rivers in NZ to be fair...mad skills can be learnt in whitewater though set me up with confidence to take on pretty much anything the ocean has to throw at you - whitewater is often far more techinical and risky, skill level alert on 110% of the time )

What cruising speed in your Viking Profish Reload can you maintain comfortably for an hour or more?

Really depends on a lot of things mate like load - wind current swell etc.. at a guess lets call it 6.5km to give you a guide. Often I don’t paddle more than an hour between breaks in fishing or re rigging - these times I am paddling at an average of 7km but again that’s all relative. Hope that helps

@@jdfishingnz3034 Lifes busy here with 3 kids but we try to come back to Auckland every 2 years and yes I fish when there - in the near future I hope to make the trips more regular and spend more time back on the NZ waters. Still need to catch a big kingfish and a 20lb snapper..I am stuck on 19lb!!
