Fun fact: In Melee, Peach is the only character who can complete EVERYONE's Target Test flawlessly via hacking. Yes, even Young Link's as her Float ability allows her to barely get out of the large tree starting area. She's that good.
Side b in melee can give you height if you spam it on a wall I don't think she would be able to do young links otherwise.

Wrong: Samus, Jigglypuff and Zelda/Sheik can also do it.
I guess Daisy being exactly the same as Peach in Ultimate makes sense when you account for the fact that Peach had a Daisy alt in every game prior to Ultimate.
Though it’s kinda of funny how despite this daisy technically is the best echo fighter.
Though they could’ve just done what they did with Olimar and Bowser Jr. with their alts being other characters that are basically the exact same and even having unique voice clips. In fact they should’ve made every echo fighter like this. (Except for chrom, ken, dark pit, and lucina because they do play differently from the characters they’re an echo of but point being the echos who are literally just visually different should’ve been skins)
As a peach main, I’m glad breaking my fingers paid off in ultimate

One of the most consistently great characters in Smash history. Float is just an inherently strong mechanic.
One thing to note about SSB4 Peach specifically is that she rose up greatly in the eyes of many players during the game's final year. One important thing to note is that SSB4's final official tier list was made at the end of 2017, thus nothing from 2018 was recorded. Peach got an explosion of top level results during the game's final year (primarily thanks to Samsora), and she is usually placed at around the top 15 in quite a few top player's final tier lists towards the end of the game. Such momentum for the character translated beautifully into the buffed Ultimate Peach as well.
@@the_bookworm8281 yeah it's sad that some people still don't think she is good because of that. Some guy was arguing with me because he "played" Peach.
I think she deserves to be recognized.
Peach is one of the most consistent characters in all of Smash.
It’s amazing how her “worse” rank is upper mid in brawl and that’s just cause Meta knight is so dominant. In almost every game she’s always in the upper tiers

Peach/Daisy Bomber in Ultimate: Burst movement option viable on the ground for chasing rolls, provides recovery in the air, can kill off the side in her combos, and is much faster than in previous games.

Peach is quite interesting you wouldn’t expect her to be ranking so well in almost every game. Heck in melee they make it sound like it’s hard to win with peach in the trophies.
Regardless I love how peach has been good in every game. She probably one of the few characters that has a good ranking in every single game where her worst rank is brawl and even then she’s in mid and the highest rank Mario character and nowhere near a fall from grace compare to other high tiers in past games. As an ultimate peach player who was also playing her in smash 4, ultimate is her strongest incarnation and i'm also a firm believer that she is a top 10 character, just not better than fox.

Nitpicking, but she doesn’t negate the short hop multiplier when she short hops and then floats, she inputs a full hop whenever she’s doing ground floats most of the time which is why that happens; if you were to short hop with float you still get the multiplier.

The tennis racquet is the weakes but I noticed it has a sweet spot that makes it a lot stronger. I've ko'd light characters like sonic at 90% with it. (Closer to the edge ofc not on the opposite side.)

She'd honestly rank higher in Brawl if not for Meta Knight. Since he completely obliterates her, there's never a reason to use Peach in tournaments. I wonder how She'd fair if he was banned...?
Also, her BIGGEST buff since Brawl was Toad Shield turning around if hit from behind. In Melee and Brawl if she got hit from behind while Toad was out, she wouldn't turn around to counter attack. That was a massive buff for her because the move was basically useless until SSB4.
Imo, Toad Shield IS the best counter in SSBU because it's a really good midrange option against characters that can poke well. The outer flare if the spores cover such a huge area that it makes incoming projectiles punishable in situations that other characters would have to shield on. It's niche, but a very useful tactic against characters with disjoints or lingering hit boxes (like Link's Nair).
If meta knight wasn’t so good in brawl im pretty sure she could’ve made high tier. However in brawl she still place decently well she like upper mid which is good when you consider how many top tier in melee were heavily nerfed
@@Yoshixandir very true. honestly it just goes to show how well her kit synergy became. The buffs to her specials really helped her out, plus turnips are still great zoning tools even after their nerfs.
Peach had the float in Super Mario Bros 2 and most of her moves come from Super Mario RPG, the frying pan, the umbrella, and even her Final Smash is a reference.
Fun Fact: This has nothing to do with peach in smash but Ima mention it anyway. Did you know that peaches bangs are supposed to resemble a heart? I went my whole life without knowing this and I only found out about it when I found some comment on another video relating to the mario movie. Which i forgot but bowser in the movie mentions her heart shaped bangs. Also Bonus Fun Fact: Rosalinas bangs are shaped like a crescent moon.

Does it? Have a certain range? I’m not so sure it does. When I played with final smashes on as peach, I accidentally use my ultimate after hitting an enemy off stage. Peach Blossom hit my opponent even though he was off screen. He fell asleep and he plummeted down to his death and exploded.
Peach really is a capable fighter, how does she get kidnapped so often? Espeically considering Melee where Bowser is the worst in the game
