Thank you very much for your kind words. Yes fingers crossed it grows a lot during this year as I want to switch to this sort of work mainly. Cheers and an awesome time to you!
Thanks. Can´t determine wehter your comment is ironic or not 😅 Right now of course AE, Fusion, Nuke offer vastly more Functionality. So its a great preview tool, but not intended as replacement. Let´s see what the future brings!
Hey and thank you very much for your suggestion. I think its a great one. I write it on my list and should definitely do that! Cheers and a great Weekend to you. Raphael
Hey and thank you very much for your nice comment. Its probably because I suck at marketing and also the algo probably wants different stuff. I would be all for a wider reach but for now I am happy with the super nice community around my channel. I am very thankful for that 🤗
Hey, thank you very much. That´s a random question right there 😂 What do you mean by "Aurora Lighting" The real aurora borealis? Or colorful room ambience lighting? Or even something else entirely?
@@iliaschalkiopoulos7092 Yo yeah. I think there are multiple methods to do this. One would be volumes. Though I am not sure if you need Houdini for that or of Pyro would be enough. Another Idea is to just use a big plane that with an alpha texture on it that you can displace into the shape of the aurora. Both of those methods should also be able to light your scene (a little) depends on the strength of the light. Seems like in your examples the "moon" light is much stronger then what is emitted from the aurora.
Very confused, I'm not getting any of the nodes you're showing, like "AOV color correction" or "composite AOV". Has this been updated and is working different now?
Thank you very much for your comment. Otoy revised their system to a newer version in Octane 2023. And added on top of it on Octane 2024 (currently in Beta) Therefore you can watch this video here. Some things, as the per channel denoising is only working in Octane 2024. But the general system should work the same way as shown here: ua-cam.com/video/ULrxD_7fJKs/v-deo.html

I have no idea how this channel doesn't get all the subscribers it deserves. Hands down one of the best CG related channels, if not the best one.

Thank you Raphael, question: how you will approach an Aurora Lighting setup in octane?
