I'm helping my fav antique store, The Joneses, create a one-of-a-kind holiday window display to bring in that seasonal holiday business! I was not in the Christmas decorating mood until this video! This would be a wonderful yearly recurring series!
This looks SO GOOD! I've been spending the last few days making my house into a little Victorian Christmas dream, but man--I need more cute antique clutter!! Seeing this would pull me into that shop SO FAST

Omg I literally want to cry! As a Canadian i feel like i only see Toronto in youtube videos. I spent the first 10 years of my life in Milbrook. My grandpa bought a house in the outskirts when my mother was only 15 and spent nearly the rest of his life there. You drove past my old elementary school! Then went into Peterborough’s home depot, which is the town i moved to at 10 and lived in until this year at 25. My partner and I just moved to Alberta in April this year and this will be the first Christmas i wont have my whole family and friends with me. Thank you for letting me see my old home.
This just feels so warm and cozy...I would love to stop and stare at this. 🤗

I knew you would knock this out of the park because you're so passionate about that store. As someone who isn't really an "antiquer" or "thrifter" because I find it a bit intimidating (thanks anxiety), that window display is like a siren call to me. How could you NOT go in there to see what else there is??? This is the definition of inviting and beyond Christmas cheer. It is always fun watching you enjoy doing what you're good at.

OMG thanks for this I've had a few rough weeks (hubby been in the hospital) and sometimes it is hard to get into the Christmas spirit in Florida when you are a Northerner and miss the snow and such. This definitely helped brighten my holiday cheer.

🎄Happy Saturday morning all! End of 2022 closing in fast and I’m reflecting on the positives. This community is one of those positives. Thank you Danie, for bringing back the weirdness and the creative beast back in me.
Oh Danie, the window is lovely & you should be so proud!! I managed a thrift shop for 15 years, and decorated 2 display windows each week, and I just loved it - each of them told a story or had a theme - and the feedback I got from them over the years was so encouraging. Merry Christmas - and P.S., here's an idea - your wedding gown is beautiful -- would you consider wearing it and doing a fashion shoot (so to speak) with it - maybe out in the snow, or even sitting on the chair in the thrift shop window - it would be so much fun - or even (picture this) - doing a gothic 'Great Expectations' theme of 'Miss Havisham' sitting at the table (with all the silverplate, dishes, etc.) - or wear ice skates with it, and do a floating/skating on the pond (frozen/safe of course)..........................or even in the forest/woods, like w fairy type theme - you could do it!!! Wouldn't this be fun for the month of December - give you a wee break from your regular DYI's, and lead into the New Year!!!! Say Yes To The Dress!!!!
Really beautiful, cozy with great colours but doesn't take away from the antiques. Just want to sit in the window with a hot chocolate, draped in a handmade quilt as I watch the snow fall. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
My Dad was minister at the UC church in Millbrook circa 1956. I was about 4. We moved away in 1958. A sweet place then and now.

I'm so inspired to decorate the store window where I work at! Living in Texas my dogs absolutely HATE the cold weather. When we got that insane snow last year when I let them out they initially were excited and ran into the snow. One ran right back in and the other 3 had to be carried back in because they were too cold to make it back inside... Also I just watched a DIY on how to make 5 pointed star lights! @@DIYDanie yep, we get a whole book with each departm broken down. Even to what the mannequins are wearing. If we have the merchandise available they expect the exact same clothes to be on them. Luckily my store doesn't usually have the exact merchandise so I get to play with that a little

Danie, this was so lovely. I love decorating but I live in Australia so it's a hot Christmas here. The last 2 years I haven't decorated because my family don't appreciate it but I'm going to do it this year FOR ME! You have inspired me. My dream is to one day spend a week or two in Canada just before and during Christmas ( I will just have to survive the cold🥶). Our best friends moved to Toronto 20 years ago and it would be nice to visit them next year during Christmas. Love to you and all your family.
