Danie -- I'm a weaver and flinched when you mentioned washing that that big wool (it looks like wool) mustard, cream & brown blanket. Buy some detergent/soap that's especially for wool, like Eucalan. Soak blanket in a tub of lukewarm water, gently squeeze liquid through or very gently move around. Drain water in tub, fill with same temperature clean water and move blanket around very gently to rinse. Then roll in a big towel, gently squeeze out excess water, and lay flat to air dry. If you do any kind of regular washing, you'll likely ruin it.

Or on the outside of your greenhouse. 😊 I do like the idea of separating the 2 sections. Do the above with the triangular piece. The square piece then takes on a life of its own. Turn it into a serving tray with handles. Put glass over it so you can see the design. Keep in the breakfast nook, where you've hung the window corner bracket. 😊
@DIYDanie I wonder if you drilled out a pattern into the die, then sat an LED candle in it? Could be a fun light to add to a shelf? Love your work (and I would use that door-corner decorative wood element in the shed, feels Ghibli workshoppy to me!)
24.35 - looks like a printer stand or an old typewriter stand. You put the device on top and your paper in the open slots. Wheel it over when you're ready to type/print. Takes up a lot less space than most bulky ones! Great with the industrial design.
About the decorative piece at 18:05 -- If you created a duplicate then you could mount them on a wall at an appropriate height and put a nice board or slab of marble on top for a laptop desk, writing table, vanity or breakfast bar. About the red textile runner: I'm not an expert but I collect these kinds of textiles when I can afford to. Having worked in a fiber arts and weaving store and having read the related magazines and books for a few years, I want to say it could have been made in Guatemala (or nearby) and it may have been made using a backstrap loom. But, I am no expert --just someone who loves these kinds of weavings. Nice score, Danie!!! Also the little black metal rolling cart looks like it might have been intended as a rolling telephone stand, with slots for two phone books (yellow pages and white pages)...maybe it was used in an office set up. Having said that it could also work as a printer stand with extra paper stored in those slots. I'm a sucker for little rolling carts, myself! Fun shopping haul--thanks for sharing it with us!
The dog box is an ashtray. The concave bit on the inside of its top holds a cigar. The long textile might be Peruvian. The figures would be a llama and I think an alligator or crocodile figure. That wood sm chair side table is absolutely beautiful. You have such a great eye for beautiful wood pieces. Also, you can NEVER have too many tiny stools. They can be used in so many ways
For the decorative wood piece, if you end up cutting the square part off, you could use the other piece as a plant hanging bracket! Just add a hook to the end and screw it into the wall with a little plant hanging on it!
The metal table is used, back in my day, as paper and carbon paper holder being put next to the manual typewriters. The written transcript would be on top of the rolling table. The teacher would time you. That's how she would know how many words per minute you typed.
Love this! So much creativity. I particularly love the decorative wooden piece, putting one side on the side of a window and then making a glass top table out of the other bit would be perfect. Also loveee the blue tile and the red Peruvian (?) fabric ❤❤❤
The tile from the tile works in Ironbridge, UK is down the road from where I grew up and we went there quite a lot growing up. The tile works I know they did hand painted tiles that you could buy there which they did for decades but mainly a lot of people go there and paint their own tile and they fire them there. So there's a good chance home owner painted that tile themselves! (I've painted tiles there a lot as a younger kid that my mum still has!)
That red textile with the animals was so pretty, such a good find! The deer/elk sticking its tongue out totally gives off LOTR vibes for me, so I love that as well
I love- love that second low back chair! That would fit anywhere in my house too! I think he metal one is super cool! You can use magnets on it! Or magnetic hooks!…So many ideas ☺️😉
The wooden corner piece if you half it and hang a light cord from the angled part with a bare bulb it could look fantastic. I’d even make a replica so they could be matching bedside lights for your spare room as the stools aren’t that big to accommodate a side lamp.
You always have the most fun! Great finds!! I would use the wooden corner bracket as a template and create more. Maybe then use for various door openings or as shelf brackets.
I like the dog, the horse bookends, the rose tile pic, and the chair like table, the stool, and the useful table on wheels! You have interesting taste.

Your studio will constantly evolve. The estate home was something else. I just love your videos. Thank you for sharing your creativity with your audience.
20:44 I'm not an expert, but I think the woollen shawl might be an Lliclla or a Chumpi, which are traditional clothes worn by Quechua women, who are Inca descendants indigenous to Peru and Bolivia. The animals and objects embroidered onto it might even hint at the societal position the original owner occupied.
The one piece that you said is used to decorate rooms at 19:04 . Maybe you could make wind chimes with the pieces of wood and have them clank together or something.
The black metal table thing with wheels wouldn't be much good as a typewriter stand, even for a non electric model, because you do need to be able to stick your legs underneath. I've had several old metal typewriter stands and they are more like mini desks. I do think it could have been used as an adding machine stand with the shelves or cubbies beneath used for the paper rolls. Definitely looks like office furniture for old style pre computer equipment. Yes, I'm old enough to have used such in my younger days. 😉 Some of that stuff is ideal for repurposing, so great find Danie! 👍😊
The decorative thing I can picture the square part of it with a mirror behind and the triangle part as a support for a foldable side table. The red tapestry is from Peru if I'm not mistaken do to the lamas.
Thank you, Danie, for taking us with you on a virtual tour of the Joneses. What a lovely store! I used to have that Ben Shahn Clown poster on my wall when I was young, many many moons ago, and seeing it there I want it again!
The corner piece would look so cool in your garage / office space, like against one of the walls you’re building upstairs, stained to match the wood like it’s been there forever ❤ would be lovely
I think the box with the doggie on top is an ashtray when you flip it open. The thing under the lid looks like where you’d lay your cigarette or cigar and the glass container is for ashes. Removable for cleaning. But, I could be wrong… 😂
That house for the estate sale was just magnificient and unique! You got some awesome finds and I love that architecture piece is beautiful, love the bookend horses, the little half chair/stool (so adorable) and that cow milking stool was a true find.
If you do put the folded handkerchief in a frame, make sure to put the instructions, and any other explanatory paperwork, in the back so they don't get lost.
That doorway piece would be an excellent template to create your own... I loved the old house! So many wonderful bits and pieces of architecture on top of what the owners left behind. Our homes really do tell our stories.
Welcome back, glad you had a fun and warm Vaca... OK, the brass dice with dog on the lid, might be an ashtray. The piece attached on the underside of the lid looks like a cigarette holder as well as a place to stub out a cig. That could also account for the removable glass try inside. In the 20-40's they were always designing interesting ashtrays and cigarette cases. Quite often the uniqueness of the design was to hide it's intended use. The red runner looks Peruvian or at least South American. Lastly, the tile piece with the animal looks like a goat to me...but who really knows. Lol. G eat finds, I especially love the small metal organizer. ❤❤❤
The blue and yellow tile, with the stag on it, is vaguely reminiscent of a piece from "The Unicorn Tapestries" (I think it's the pose of the stag, on the blue background that reminds me of it). Absolutely gorgeous work of art.
Danie, the red-pink blanket is very likely from the Andes, Peru or Bolivia, from the Quechua. So if you wanna find out what's written there, Google translate might help. ;) A couple of years back I traveled to that region and went to an awesome textile museum. This is what I learned: All the animals and symbols woven inside a piece tell a unique story, likely a dream or a myth/fairy tale from the region, sometimes specifically from one village. The weavers often spent days creating these blankets (or carpets, belts, ponchos...), each piece is unique and handmade by only one person! About washing: it is very likely made of wool. So actually you don't need to wash it but just air it out. If you really wanna wash it, please please do it by hand with the proper wool-detergent, or you'll likely ruin it. (see also the comment by mtzjotz) Lastly, my two carpets from La Paz now are bleached in some spots because I wasn't cautious enough where I put them in my apartment. Avoid laying yours anywhere it can be reached by sunlight (direct or reflected)! The beige-mustard blanket migth be from northern Africa, I'm not so sure about it - but the treatment should be the same.
The red blanket/fabric with the snaps looks like it's from Nepal! The motifs and colours are very, very similar to some textiles my sister brought back from her own trip there.
I love that last piece for your garage. It can be your desk-ish thing, hold your current project plans in the shelves, your hot cold beverages on top and follow you around to wherever you need it ehile you are working.
The die with the dog: It’s an ashtray for a cigar with a holder for a cigar
indeed! Makes so much sense now looking at it
Was just going to say this!😂
Indeed, an ashtray
Exactly 😊👍

Thank you, Danie, for taking us with you on a virtual tour of the Joneses. What a lovely store! I used to have that Ben Shahn Clown poster on my wall when I was young, many many moons ago, and seeing it there I want it again!
Thanks for joining me! xx
The decorative house element with the circle is so cool- i would make another one mirror image and put it above a door or use as an archway!
The square part of the ornamet is think it could be a table top, sort of like you said but with infinite effect. Like lookig through a portal 🤯🙌🏼🫶🏼
But, I could be wrong… 😂
love the Taylor Swift red lips! and happy to find your video this week - I am looking forward to your garage loft / office development.
I loved that mini chair thingy and of course the bookends.
That house for the estate sale was just magnificient and unique! You got some awesome finds and I love that architecture piece is beautiful, love the bookend horses, the little half chair/stool (so adorable) and that cow milking stool was a true find.
I agree stools are GREAT#
How about attaching the wooden ornate piece to a wall so it stcks out and attach a macrame plant hanger!?
Oh the blanket would look cute on a headboard or something :)
Hi Danie! I think you have found beautiful treasures !
I live about a 30 minute drive from ironbridge x
If you do put the folded handkerchief in a frame, make sure to put the instructions, and any other explanatory paperwork, in the back so they don't get lost.
That wooden corbel type piece could be a cool window shutter? DIY another piece
Hi Danie ! I'm pretty sure that the dog box is an ashtray, so you can drop your lit cigar or cigarette on the lid "pedestal"
24:26 I would love to see you paint the stool bright eclectic pink colors!
My favorite piece you got today would be the wood piece that goes in the corner for decorations that you can use for many many things
Love the stuff you got, the tile do the elk reminded me of the illustrations from the original Narnia Lion witch and wardrobe books
My favorites...
1st i have to say that you really saw some great things!
1. Low-back stool
2. Milking stool
3. doorway corner bracket
I love that last piece for your garage. It can be your desk-ish thing, hold your current project plans in the shelves, your hot cold beverages on top and follow you around to wherever you need it ehile you are working.
