Omg, love all your creations! When you asked, “ did I put a bird on every single project?” I said to myself, that’s it Sherry, keep giving them the bird! Lol To the complainant of your love of birds.
Oh my gosh, I absolutely adore all of your projects. It really opens up my brain when I go thrift in to see items in a totally different light. What fun I’m going to have!
I bought this clock for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. She decorates with a very eclectic style and will love this. When I saw it, I knew she would adore it. When it came, I couldn’t believe this clock is nicer than it looks on the video! Thank you so so much!
As with most of your projects, we probably don't have the exact same materials you are using but I hope that those watching use your inspired ideas for creating beautiful things out of their own stash. Knowing that you sometimes "build as you go," is an encouragement as well. Thanks again Sherry!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one. In the past I would overthink every project and wasted too much time. Sometimes, I end up changing color several times but I'm learning to roll with it now and it's ok to change things.
Sherry, I loved the horse. I also loved the clock and the railroad lantern. Your videos are so much fun to watch and I always get jazzed up to upcycle something. Thanks for sharing.
I was going to start a comment early in the video about how much I liked the project. THEN, the next project was even better, and the one after that even better-er! I enjoyed every one! I recently completed 4 5x7" 1' deep black shadow frames (.50 ea at a yard sale). Used 1 piece of spruce tree scrapbook paper for all 4 backgrounds. Made trees from maple twigs from the yard, added a flat white Dollar Tree Christmas tree ornament, glitter, styrofoam snow pellets, and Buffalo Snow. THEN I glued in 2 cardinals; my SO's family firmly believe that seeing a cardinal is Ma, who died a year ago, looking over them. They will love them! Your influence is rubbing off on me! Thank you!
I love all of these! I have always felt your signature touch is to “add a bird,” which always adds such a special addition to your projects. Merry Christmas!
You never disappoint, everything was so innovative and darling. I especially loved the clock, that was awesome. You never just throw anything together, you invent, you create, you enhance with that genius imagination and natural flair you’ve been blessed with. Beautiful work!
Sherry , with or without birds , we’re here for inspiration !!!! every project is just beautiful, please do a mega video combining your beautiful ideas ❤❤❤❤
One of the things I enjoy about you is your imaginative use of tiny birds! You cannot go wrong with them.....I love them! I will agree about the clock though......you hit the top of the ladder on this one! I love it!!!! I love all you did.....and I so appreciate your sharing with us!
Sherry, you are too much!! And I say this in the most complimentary way. So, let's take things in order: Booties - adorable; candleholder - amazing; snowman - incredibly creative; clock transformation - out of bounds; wooden horse (so hard to choose a favorite of your projects but I have to say this may be the one); jewelry box - sweet; desk organizer - unique; lantern - so Christmassy (is that a word?)....thank you as always for sharing your vision and creativity with us.
When you started with the Hurricane Lamp, I was pretty sure you would make an angel out of it. But love the snowman too. Jewelry box turned out very nice!
Everything is so beautiful! I especially love the birds nest and cardinal, it reminds me of my Dad. I decorate with cardinals every year for Christmas in his memory.
Loved loved loved the clock and the jewelry box was astounding. At first I didn't get the horse with the arrow beneath, but when you put it all together, and the tissue paper is gorgeous, I understood your thinking. Absolutely brilliant video, you are one VERY clever creator and you just knocked it out of the park every time. Leave it to Sherrie I say. You got this girl.
Oh thank you! I wasn’t sure if the napkin decoupage was going to be a good idea on the horse either, but I figured if I didn’t like it, I could sand it off!😜
Aw the "repair" to the broken clock top piece was genius! Lol. Your ideas are so creative and varied. I love that you don't do the same old thing over and over like some do.
I'm watching this video in the middle of my prep for a colonoscopy and you talk about Colonbroom!!! How funny!!! As usual, your unique creativity shines once again. Great projects!!!
For the clock...use silicon 2 part mold to cast a mold of the remaining pediment. I have done this several times when a piece of trim is missing. I usually use poly clay to cast the missing pieces. Good luck!
What a funny coincidence, I have been staring at the exact lamp base for a week trying to figure out what to do with it, and my clock very similar to yours recently quit. Thank you for the ideas! Love your work!
Mary, I think you are the most creative "crafter" on You Tube! Love the birds in all your projects. Please keep using them. I can't say which project was my favorite. I loved them all!
Hello Sherry ! I watch your videos and then make a "grocery list" for all my favorite projects & materials to look for at my thrift stores. It's a long list this week. You are the highlight of my Monday's and sometimes my week. I think this is my favorite Christmas video so far!
Oh, thank you, Jan! What a sweet sweet comment! I went thrifting today, too. My favorite thing to buy this time of the year is gallon size ziploc bags full of small trinkets and tree ornaments! I find the best vintage ornaments this way!
I just couldn’t love this video more! You are a thrift flip genius! I never would have thought you could top your previous Christmas creations, but I believe you just did. Happy Holidays!
Air dry clay, make it! But the little birdhouse was a great choice for the missing pediment piece. Love the snowman out of the hurricane lantern. Too cute!
All of your creations are fantastic! It is such a treat to watch you do this♥️ I love the birds and every other clever thing you did for this video. As another said, you look very festive and definitely very pretty.
You are my favourite UA-cam crafter! I love your demeanor, your honesty, creativity, the way you explain things with every little detail...I just love what you do. You inspire me. I'm currently re-organizing my craft room so I can say "let's get started"! And I can't wait.
Hi Sherry, Love the jewelry box reinvented. You are so good at making dioramas and I love looking and learning how you make everything fresh and beautiful
Hi Sherry, I had to replay the first few minutes of this vlog as I was so distracted by the ornament of the hunt on your mantle. Serious envy happening here! Love it😊
Oh, thank you, Joy! They are book ends. Did you see the video where I found them in an antique mall in Galena, Illinois? I bought several things there; it was a huge antique mall in an old school house. The cashier somehow forgot to ring them up and put them in the box with my other purchases. I didn’t realize that I didn’t have them until we got home. I called the store and they wouldn’t mail them to me. A few days later they arrived in the mail-my husband had called them and convinced them to mail them after all!
Oh, yes, what a great find, and well done to your husband for following them up for you. Our New Zealand summer does not lend itself to snowy scenes and cosy interiors, but we do our best. Just this morning I gathered some evergreen trimmings from the avocado tree shelter belt across the road from my house. They were just lying on the verge, calling my name, so I've made a wreath and tucked stems here and there around the house. Trust you have a safe and happy 🎄🎄🎄
Sherrie, you are so clever. Watching from the UK. Love the horse and red lantern, your outfit is lovely in this vlog. The drawer organiser is stunning I did the same with sheet music in each cubihole and display it all year. Thank you for your inspiration. Have a good week.
Ooh, the lantern at the end is stunning, and the mouse in the bootie was too cute with its little tartan scarf. You've definitely put me even more in the festive mood with these projects. The storybook jewellery box is adorable. My tree and decorations go up this Friday. Can't wait 🤩
Hello, Yzola! I’m so glad you liked these projects. I’ve been trying to decorate my tree today, but I’ve had so many interruptions. The tree is up and the lights are working, but it doesn’t have any ornaments yet.
Thank you so much! I ended up changing my mind about how to use the jewelry box after I saw the pretty illustrations in that children’s book. I’m so glad you liked it!
You just have the best and most unique crafts and I love that you put your own little extra touch las an ornament or a bird . i love birds so I really enjoy those. I always look forward to watching your videos
Oh Sherry theres no way I could out do any one of your pretty creations ! I am not one bit creative even though i buy things at Dollar tree and places to try it just never works like yours or any body else’s!
"Did I add a bird to every...😇" Me: (Talking to Sherry on my television) "Mrs. Sherry, you KNOW you added a bird & if you didn't we would be concerned". 😂 Wishing you a perfect Holiday Season Mrs. Sherry. All of the crafts were gorgeous and creative per usual. I especially loved the Drawer organization crafted into the visit from Santa story shadow box.
I like every one of these projects, but my favorite is the snow filled lantern snowman with the bird on his hat. Just charming. I also love the solution you came up with to replace the missing final on the clock.
What about air dry clay, to make a new top piece for the clock? You could gently sand it smooth and glue it on and paint it. That's if you want it to look even, but I really like your idea of putting the little bird house on! Thinking outside the box!
Your imagination and vision are incredible! I love all the projects today. I think we would all like to see your “stash”. Where do you keep all your supplies?
The snowman is my favorite. The jewelry box is pretty cute too. I would have used the clock piece you have to make a mold and wood putty to make a second piece for the top of your clock.
You are so creative! I love the snowman out of the hurricane lamp and I think you’re right - the woodland scene in the clock is spectacular! I love it. 🤗 EVERYTHING was so cute and creative - good job!
I love Cardinals, I keep mine out all year. That remade oil lamp is one of the cutest things I ever saw. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Time for a Goodwill run!
Thank you so much, Linda! I just learned something new about cardinals-they are only found in North and South America. I just assumed there were cardinals in Europe and Asia, too!
Hey Sherry, first I gotta say I live the plaid wallpaper and all the plaids you have in your home. Second I'm heading to thrift tomorrow looking for BABY BOOTS!😊 third, I wish you would throw a Christmas video in here and there all through the year.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊
Thank you, Sheila! That wallpaper is actually padded wallpaper that came with the house. It’s a good thing that both my husband and I like it because it will be a nightmare to remove! I love the idea of doing Christmas crafts at other times of the year because they are my favorites to make!
You look beautiful in your festive outfit..and your projects are outstanding! I'm super excited because I have those boots in my stash. My favorite of your collection today is the clock but every other project is truly outstanding! I'm going to order colonbroom too!
Thank you so much! I didn’t want to talk to specifically about ColonBroom-it’s kind of an awkward subject; however, you will be happy. You won’t even know that you are taking anything (no bad side effects for me), you’ll just be regular.
Son of a gun!!!! You never disappoint me with your projects! They are so beautiful 😍😍 & yes, you did add a bird to almost everything. But it looks beautiful!! You are so creative ❤
Every. Single. Week. you simply amaze me. I loved all your projects today. You are such a talented artisan. I look forward to Mondays to see what fantastic creations you have for us. My mom was a cardinal collector. When she passed she had at least 300 cardinals on display in her house. I kept a few, sold a few and gave a lot to St. Vincent de Paul. I hope they went to loving homes.
Thank you so much! I just learned something new about cardinals today. They are only found in North and South America. Poor Europe, Asia, and Australia have no red birds!
@@CanterburyCottage I do think the northern cardinal can be seen in London, but am not 100% sure. I will let you know next July as I will be in London. 🥳 I love seeing birds in different areas of our country and else where. In Wisconsin we have a ton of cardinals around where I live. And yesterday on the millpond behind our home we had 4 cardinals sitting on the ice. 🦅
As always you took everything to a higher degree of fabulous. The jewelry box and the drawer organizer are truly works of art as is the clock plus all of your trash to treasure. 😊❤
@@CanterburyCottage don’t let it bother you. I love love books but when a book has seen it’s better days when not use it in another way. I covered an old thrifted skirt with book pages, took the hard cover for wings, covered with book page cones to shape them, even made a big flower 🌸 out of the pages to make a headpiece = book fairy.😂🤣. I have an old book, I keep forgetting I have, to be used as decoupaging the pictures. Lol, I keep forgetting about it. I think some people get to uptight. I know you would never disrespect a valuable book so hey, have fun. Your creative mind is a gift from God to be shared.
We love your Channel and your “original” crafts. My wife enjoys all the birds you incorporate into your crafts. This might be snoopy but we would like to see your stash. We are wondering how to build a useful stash of items for crafting. You are so very creative, Every video is better than the last one.
Wow, thank you! I have shown the majority of my stash in two craft room organization videos. (I do have larger items in a separate storage room.) Here is the most recent one if you want to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/eVNQCD_BGWo/v-deo.htmlsi=3TqvbE6bg6p4xLeR

I bought the horse! Can't wait to get it and set it out amongst my other beloved Christmas decorations!
Oh, thank you! I really appreciate your support. I hope you will love it!
I do believe the horse did not have a bird! 😅
I always thought of myself as crafty…but Sherry you are over the top, brilliant and crafty…would ❤ to see your “stash” someday😂

By the way,the little shoes are adorable!!!

I loved everything, especially the clock! But definitely love all the birds😊😊
Thanks so much 😊
The clock winter scene was definitely my favorite and I loved your solution to the missing pediment.
You are so creative! I love the snowman out of the hurricane lamp and I think you’re right - the woodland scene in the clock is spectacular! I love it. 🤗 EVERYTHING was so cute and creative - good job!
Thank you so much, Christine!
Sherry you have done it again! All so creative, I loved the horse and the clock.
Every. Single. Week. you simply amaze me.
Thank you so much, Margaret! I sometimes get mean comments when I cut up a book, so I wanted to make sure I used as much of it as possible! 😜
