      Thanks for the feedback. We suspect this will be another popular video on Namibia. We have a growing series of videos covering the amazing discoveries that have happened ov the last 18 months. BTW, I think I saw Dire Straits in concert back in 1985. Great band!😁

    Will you be doing a article/video about Reconnaissance Energy Africa about there findings?
    They have the rights to 8.5million acres across Namibia and Botswana.

      Hi Michael. We have a video in the making looking specifically at Recon Africa with a little bit on Monitor Exploration. Hope to have that out in a couple of weeks' time!

      Do you contact IR directly?

    • @TROVE-1stSubsurface
      @TROVE-1stSubsurface  11 місяців тому

      No, we generally do not contact companies directly. We base our content on what is available online, data in our global TROVE databases and 40+ years of experience. Judging by the limited number of comments we get, we assume we are getting most of it right. Always happy to be challenged on technical evaluations.

    informative presentation, can you make a presentation on Namibia on the overall overview of the Basins which include Geology part also in a similar way you made for Nigeria and Angola?

    • @TROVE-1stSubsurface

      Thanks for your comment. We have a series of videos dedicated to Namibia - these include the details of the various discoveries to date and some basin overviews. We have had over 60,000 views of our Namibia videos - checkout the playlists and watch all the Namibia videos in one enormous binge watch!! Please let me know if these have what you are looking for.

    The borders between South Africa 🇿🇦 and Namibia 🇳🇦 to be checked again .....I feel most of that Shell block belongs to South Africa 😮

    • @TROVE-1stSubsurface
      @TROVE-1stSubsurface  Рік тому

      Jacob, I believe our map comes from Namcor or the Namibian regulator. As far as I am aware the international maritime border between Namibia and South Africa has been ratified and there is no controversy. Please comment if this is not the case.

    So sintna energy have the exposhure to 3 blocks in the orenge basin and 5 blocks in namibia?

    • @TROVE-1stSubsurface
      @TROVE-1stSubsurface  Рік тому

      It can be quite tricky to reliably unravel affiliates and subsidiaries but we understand Sintana to have exposure to 4 blocks in the Orange Basin (Trago is an affiliate as well as Custos). With 7 in Namibia in total (we believe there are ties with Apprentice Investment - PEL 103, Onshore).
      If anyone at Sintana wants to confirm their interests, let us know (info@1stsom.com) we're more than happy to clear it up in the next video! 🙂

    Very informative videos. I think Sintana has an indirect interest in Custos Investments Ltd which they have indicated represents a total of approx 7% indirect interest in PEL 87

    In much of this investment, the Namibian government is at the loosing end

    • @TROVE-1stSubsurface
      @TROVE-1stSubsurface  11 місяців тому +1

      Not sure I understand Grandlemar. Billions of dollars, which the Namibian government didn't have, was invested by foreign companies. Remember - they haven't produced a barrel of oil yet and probably won't get a single dollar for many years to come. Surely this is a win-win?
