How great to see that Russian baked goods survive in the Richmond. Delicious stuff…

Many years ago- during the period 1979-81 I lived in the RIchmond District, at 18th Avenue and Clement Street. I really enjoyed it, San Francisco was, and I hope still is, an extraordinary city, rich in cultural institutions, fine architecture, varied ethnic influences, and beautiful parks. And of course the marvelous weather. I worked downtown, for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Western Regional Office, and would take the bus in on Geary Blvd, but would walk back to my apartment usually along California Street or Clement Street- along the way was an ice cream shop that had the very best Black Walnut Ice Cream ever! always would get a cone. And then there was Mary's bakery on 23 Avenue- most delicious strawberry and rhubarb squares! Since I am recalling over 40 years ago, I am sure they are no longer in business, but I am enjoying the memories! Thank you for posting and best wishes. I am hoping to get back to San Francisco for a visit before long.

I lived on Arguello and McAllister, Clement was the to go place for Asian food (being Filipino). Very well done video, thanks as I am retired in the Philippines now. Brings back a lot of memories, lived in S.F. since 69 and came back in 2014. My son and daughter live in Union City and San Mateo respectively. God Bless

Richmond district, sunset, ocean beach, mission district and SOMA are the cool places in SF w/o the homeless, tweakers, druggies, and people with mental illness
