Never had the sports pads but I beat Drago after a long ass time finally beat him by decision. Always trained properly with my fingers. My buddy came over 1 day and he would use a styrofoam ball and go back n forth on the buttons to achieve super high training numbers. Not me what’s the point then. I remember couple rounds to go I knew I was finally gonna win but was nervous and shaky cause I was so close lol great memories started playing this again recently.
I got this with the master system 1987 for Xmas and used to wait for my parents to go out... I'd carefully unwrap it,set it up play it and wrap it back up and put it back on top of their wardrobe.... devious but FKNG awesome 😂😂😂

Absolutely loved this Rocky game back in the day. It was a shame they didn't add in a second fight with Apollo and a fourth training game for the fight with Drago, maybe a running mini game or something and move the mitts training with Micky to the second fight with Apollo. Still, I had a lot of fun playing this.

The music was not owned by the movie studio and they had to pay royalties to use it. The game most likely would have had to pay more money to use it, too.
Simple the music studio wasn't controlled by the movie studio. That aside, the artists who made the music had their own standing contracts with the house who distributed the music they produced. You can be an RCA/Victor artist whose song was used in a Columbia movie. So when Columbia cuts a deal with Coleco (this is hypothetical and that's the first game company I could muster), that doesn't mean Coleco has an agreement with RCA/Victor
Sega was far better than Nintendo. Why was Nintendo on top tho? Because of all the games compared to sega. But it wasn’t cause sega was lacking in wanting to make games. Nintendo pulled a power play and threatened all those game companies they would not release there games on there system if they didn’t sign only they will release there games. That hurt sega. A bs move.
I... LOVED... THIS... GAME! I played this almost daily. FYI: Did you know you can skip the training by pressing Up, A, B? I would skip the 3rd training to fight Drago because I had the quickness speedbag from Clubber Lang..
Make it easier for yourself... Get 7 hits/sec on the second Training. This makes you punch faster than Drago. You can just get in his face and destroy him. And no... a turbo button is not required for it.
Remember the training sessions ... Was so much easier with the master system rapid fire control 😂😂 oh the memories... Always beat Creed . Then Lang .. then get my arse kicked by Drago. Three punches and I was Tko
@@rickyfrench1262 I never played the other one but I did play rocky and was never able to beat it. At first I couldn't even hit Drago. Creed was easy to beat and Lang was easy once you knew how to hit him
Was very upset when I got a Sega Master System instead of the NES for Christmas. All my friends had NES. So i never gave Sega the proper chance i should have. Looking back now and seeing some of the games it actually had i wish had given a better chance. But got NES the next yr so i was content. :)

Always had a sega growing up. Master system then a megadrive ut then switched to PlayStation. Dreamcast was a good console though
