Great video!
I'm a new gardener and started with cucumbers. This has been a great video. Thank you!!
I found avid on my tomato plant. Sprayed neem oil. It left a white coating on everything
Hi I love your video, I had one question. I had two volunteer cucumber plants and the cucumbers are growing half green and half white. Do you know why, any suggestions . They came out the size of pickled cucumbers Not sure the variety since its a volunteer. I used compost and organic 3-5-6 fertilizer. I also have a 12-10-5 fertilizer but I have used it on anything yet. Plz help. Thanks in advance
Hi, thanks! If it is producing, it could be something called blanching. This occurs for two reasons. One. Excessive water can cause that. Two being heavily shaded or covered, will cause the chlorophyll not to produce in the cucumber, causing it to turn white.
You can send me a picture of it if you like to Bellesbackyardgarden@gmail.com. I would love to see what you have.
Since it is a volunteer in a rare circumstance, it could be a hybrid that was produced from a regular cucumber and a white cucumber that was carried in by the bees. If that’s the case, enjoy!
If it’s producing well more than likely, it’s not going to be a fertilizer issue. Good luck.
