My departed wife of 11 years, best friend since 12 and soulmate forever. We’d rock out to punk and metal bands. Bouncing Souls was a go to. I played this at her memorial. Love you always Mandy. Hold on, hold on to what you got.
This band means so much to me, the band that your dad gets dewy eyed over and has 1000's of stories about, this is that band for me. I met my friends, had the best teenage years I could ever have with The Bouncing Souls as one of the bands playing the soundtrack. I still can't listen to True Believers without crying. Partly because back then I knew I'd listen to the lyrics like I do now, looking back at a youth lived perfectly how I wanted it, with people around me I love, but partly because I'm fucking glad I was lucky enough to have those years. I've met some people along the way Some of them split some of them stayed Some of them walk some walk on by I've got a few friends I'll love till I die From all of these people I try to learn Some of them shine some of them burn Some of them rise some of them fall For good or bad I've known them all
@@adrianozuna2149 its bittersweet to lookc back bro, it hurts those precious years are over, you're at an age where you're just about to start living the fuck out of life, for christ sake do it. I came here from a live wire interview with Jay Weinberg, and have been listening to these guys and the Used. I’m a bit older than most on here (I expect) and this was a genre of music that passed me by. I love it and can see why it means so much to so many people in the comments! It feels to me to be an evolution of shoe gazer bands, but that might only be a connection in my brain and no one else’s. Love to you all and I hope you are all good!
I saw these guys 22 years ago and they have always been a band that’s nothing short of amazing. Greg’s voice is awesome and I get a kick out of a punk front man who smiles and has a genuine happiness about him. Not common in the punk/Oi/Hardcore scenes
This song means so much to me right now. My beautiful best friend , the girl that means the world to me, Just left on her LDS mission and she changed my life. She made me want to get sober and make life worth living. It's hard to see her go but I'm proud of her and know she change the world. " Hold on to what you got"! I am twice your age and will tell you, hold on to those friends as they become a lot harder to come by later in life.
Yes! In my case I'm reflected on this video because there's been a girl that you like but in the end, she's gone. And you remember all those moments that you've spent with her ... Beautiful moments that will remain in our heads and in our hearts ...
That's love right there. He wanted her to be happy and he knew she couldn't be if she stayed. Like the saying goes "if you love something, set it free."
Dude watched the girl he wanted get used and ignore him then proceeded in true simpian and sold all his records to send her off to go start a life without him.
I have literally not heard this song since 2008 I had it back then but didn't know the title and lost it, what a trip hearing this and somehow knowing the words that were coming up!
