Grew up ripping tony hawk so I always knew of them. Saw them last year on nofx's final tour and have since seen them 3 times. I'm super pissed at myself for not listening to them sooner. I missed out on so much!
This song is amazing and i heard it just in time. Brings me to tears every time i listen to it but they are peaceful tears. It just proves that although music can take you to a dark place it can also bring you back and take you to a bright place where the darkness is gone.
My heart's all "come on man! Let's do it!, We're never too old!". But my neck and shoulder is like...."you may die if you move at all with a guitar around me." You know what, never mind, let's just BBQ.
First time I saw these guy they opened for 7 Seconds. ‘93 or ‘94. The first album was out and they were great. 7 Seconds too. I’m glad they are back. They should tour together again. That would be a fun tour
Hell yeah little brother. I was much younger than you when I started listening to them. They got me through a difficult childhood. I'm 33 years old now. They still get me through shit. Bless you on your journey little brother.
hell yeah. good luck kid. safe to say we're all out here rooting for you! be well and always remind your tribe how much they mean. shit goes by too fast I promise. hope all of ya are holding up well, all considered.
They released this song in 2001. The same year many of us lost friends and relatives in 9/11. One of mine had jumped from the 84th floor, another, a firefighter who helped me get clean and sober, cleared our floor, then went back in to help others and was never seen again. I was in a daze for about a year. This song helped keep me sober. " I felt so lost, I couldn't say why. "
Jesus Christ. God bless you man. I don’t know what I would’ve done in that situation. I’m so glad people like you are able to talk about it openly. It helps others understand what happened.
Bro im sorry that you had to lose friends that way. It was a tragic day and the ones that are guilty will surely pay when judgement day arrives. Its hard for most people to accept that it is the U.S. government that did that to us.
this is just so great. i didn't spoke english so well when I got to know them and now I do and it's sick to rediscover music. BOUNCING SOULS RULES N HEALS
So I have loved this song since I was like 14. It took my roughly 20 years to ever see the music video. I still love it. Love to play it and sing it too. But holy shit, that video aged so poorly...and I really love that. We have that in common.
It was a cloudy night, or so it looked to me, I felt so lost, I couldn't say why. I needed strength to change my mind but those ghosts stick to me like glue, hating life, believing I was no good It was a darkness all my own a song played on the radio, but it went straight to my heart I carried it with me until the darkness was gone... It was a cloudy night, or so it looked to me, I felt so lost, I couldn't say why I built this cloud to live in, It was a bunch of lies in my mind. the world wants me to believe it so I had to change my mind. It was a darkness all my own a song played on the radio, but it went straight to my heart I carried it with me until the darkness was gone... I built this cloud I can break it The world can’t change how I feel Because I know it’s a lie My heart is real Gone.
Michael was still in the band, Greg still had his beautiful black hair, Pete without his “dad gut” and Bryan had a little “shadow” on his head This is how you know this is old
I used to have home With a room and be A porch and a driveway With a big garage But I traded it in I kept some faith And laid my head down every night And it seems so far awy Remember me now 'cause things Always change 5 Long years has gone I've done some time Sleeping where I fall I know I'll never be the same I learned somethings About the places I saw I learned something about myself I guess it came the hard way Now I know what counts I've got one prayer It's in your confidence I know all the places I don't want to be everyone's Gone there'e no one just me Remember me now 'cause things Always change 5 Long years has gone I've done some time Sleeping where I fall I know I'll never be the same Remember me next time I go away For the first time I wanna stay I can count one hand here today The only thing that matters to me Anyway and it seems so far away Remember me now 'cause things Always change Five long years has gone I've done some time Sleeping where I fall I know I'll never be the same
I'm not used to seeing McDermott in glasses. The other guys look so familiar to me but I don't remember where I've seen them, Utah, New York City, Boston, tough to recall. Anyway, of my own music, this is the most like what I'm hearing from McDermott, although very different. I hope he checks it out even though he's not a jazz guy.store.cdbaby.com/cd/donrogerson
An extremely underrated band

Grew up on punk and took a long time to get sober. 3 years and change now. That darkness is deff gone. Ty bouncing souls.
Hell ya!! Good stuff
This song is amazing and i heard it just in time. Brings me to tears every time i listen to it but they are peaceful tears. It just proves that although music can take you to a dark place it can also bring you back and take you to a bright place where the darkness is gone.

So true!
Amen bro
This song always brings me peace
Yep. When I go to dark places, I break out the souls. Thank you and thank them.
There was absolutely nothing that beat the vibe when they played this live in Jersey. Brings me way back.
Thanks for the song, it helps from depression because of rejection!
44 year old me: I should start a punk band. 44 year old me: Honey where's the Ibuprofen?
My heart's all "come on man! Let's do it!, We're never too old!". But my neck and shoulder is like...."you may die if you move at all with a guitar around me." You know what, never mind, let's just BBQ.
@@jamesmotiv8989 Lol I feel ya brother. Only 10 years behind ya and I'm already feelin it.
@@Hamchuck112 same, but you gotta ignore it. Life's too short, you got to live while you're alive
Do it!
Yer even cooler not giving a hell playing guitar on a stool... not your stool sample but a wooden chair stool
First time I saw these guy they opened for 7 Seconds. ‘93 or ‘94. The first album was out and they were great. 7 Seconds too. I’m glad they are back. They should tour together again. That would be a fun tour
Just got into these guys, they are fuckin sick! Coming from a 16 year old finding his way in punk.
Hell yeah little brother. I was much younger than you when I started listening to them. They got me through a difficult childhood. I'm 33 years old now. They still get me through shit. Bless you on your journey little brother.
Bouncing Souls and The Distillers got me through high school! Youre on the right track keep it up
My dude, keep going, you give me faith
The Bouncing Souls are definitely a good entry band. I hope you've gotten even more joy out of punk music since then too.
hell yeah. good luck kid. safe to say we're all out here rooting for you! be well and always remind your tribe how much they mean. shit goes by too fast I promise. hope all of ya are holding up well, all considered.

A feel good song about a song that made you feel good! Inception level 2.
I look to Jimmy Buffett now for my relaxing music, but this song was it 20 years ago. What a great song. Makes ya feel a certain way.
Beautiful.
BB Kings NYC 2002...Never forget.
It was a cloudy night,
or so it looked to me,
I felt so lost,
I couldn't say why.
I needed strength to change my mind
but those ghosts stick to me like glue, hating life,
believing I was no good
It was a darkness all my own
a song played on the radio,
but it went straight to my heart
I carried it with me
until the darkness was gone...
It was a cloudy night,
or so it looked to me,
I felt so lost,
I couldn't say why
I built this cloud to live in,
It was a bunch of lies in my mind.
the world wants me to believe it
so I had to change my mind.
It was a darkness all my own
a song played on the radio,
but it went straight to my heart
I carried it with me
until the darkness was gone...
I built this cloud I can break it
The world can’t change how I feel
Because I know it’s a lie
My heart is real
Gone.
I love this record label !!
Amor por esta banda
Holy f***ing flashback to being a young punk!
Partyin' and listening to this. Right now I'm okay.
I just explained to my 7 year daughter the difference between music and sound. She understands I think. I do.

Love me some Souls
Love u Fulkers so much 😢
Gone with the wind
I know your feelings mate
I was not different from you
I used to have home
With a room and be
A porch and a driveway
With a big garage
But I traded it in
I kept some faith
And laid my head down every night
And it seems so far awy
Remember me now 'cause things
Always change
5 Long years has gone
I've done some time
Sleeping where I fall
I know I'll never be the same
I learned somethings
About the places I saw
I learned something about myself
I guess it came the hard way
Now I know what counts
I've got one prayer
It's in your confidence
I know all the places
I don't want to be everyone's
Gone there'e no one just me
Remember me now 'cause things
Always change
5 Long years has gone
I've done some time
Sleeping where I fall
I know I'll never be the same
Remember me next time I go away
For the first time I wanna stay
I can count one hand here today
The only thing that matters to me
Anyway and it seems so far away
Remember me now 'cause things
Always change
Five long years has gone
I've done some time
Sleeping where I fall
I know I'll never be the same
Wherever you are man, don’t give up on yourself, world is full coldness and crazies There is still hopes out there.
