I am mind blowned on this. Ive thought about slapping a flow master 40 series on my 2009 jetta. Curious as how it would sound for a tdi. This bug on a flow master gives me light!
I thought it was gonna be way louder. Still pretty quiet until you hit the high rpm. I like the idea of running pipe out the light hole but might not fit?
I have the same car, 02 Beetle sport. I bought mine from a guy who road raced it for about 5 years with a big turbo. APR stage 3+. Still fast as hell. My wife has an 03 1.8T and my first Beetle was a 99 2.0 that has a 12V VR6 in it now. Beetles are addictive cause they are so much fun to drive.
Hey just wondering, if any what are some of the main most annoying problems you’ve had with this car, and how much does each maintenance normally cost and maybe if you could tell me like tire price, windshield price etc. I’m really thinking about getting one but I heard when they came out prices for things were super high. I’ve always loved these cars and I want one so bad but I still want it to be practical.
This makes me miss my MK4 R32 VR6! The best sounding engine that VW ever made!
I had 2 vr6 git’s and yes best sounding engine ever. Very exotic sounding

Its a wonderful muffler. I love the size. Less is more
Did you ever do it ? I'm thinking about the same but on a psa hdi engine

This really makes me miss my 99 😭
Buy another one
40,50,60,70 series? Sounds good, just curious as to the series. Even sounds good inside the car.
Flowmaster FX series stainless 4 inch round $50 on eBay.
I may have missed it in the video but did you leave the cats on?
In a previous video I did a cat delete via 3 inch eBay down pipe. I think the oem resonator is still under there
Get rid of the center resonator. It is way more restrictive than the monster oem muffler. If you cut it open you will see why.

I don't understand what looks so nice about a turndoqn
Sleeper
Great video. So just the rear muffler swap? Going to do the same on my 20 Passat R-line
I also have the 3 inch down pipe which I did another video on i think. A good place to start is the muffler.
Can you send me the link?

I would only buy a vw if you are a mechanic and can fix it yourself. They are very unreliable.
@@mosierwerks alright thank you!
Sounds awesome and nice installation and you can you can still trimmed the angle like the factory muffler and is going to look better
The sound was perfect. I since sold this car rand moved on to a Mercedes. I’m planning a exhaust for it at the moment.
sound good awesome job
Never mind.
Do you still have the resonator on it? I cut out my drivera side reverse light and ran my exhaust out of it
I honestly done remember I sold the car.
I think it did still have resonator
