Great Trailer, i wish to have one like this.
🐂🚜😉
Great video keep up the good work
20k🥳 👏 great work in all your videos well deserved
Very impressed w/ the adjustable gate to fit different openings. The perfect solution. I never thought of this simple solution. Adrian put the new stock trailer on your Christmas list for Santa. Thanks for sharing.
😷👍🐄
I love watching your videos! I'm 54 years old and still drink tons of milk, so i appreciate all you dairy farmers very hard work! How often do you have to trim your herds feet? Dumb question i know, but i was wondering??
I noticed when you drove off with the trailer on you had the front wheels in the air because the draw bar sits to high! Turn you drawbar upside down and you won’t have an issue 👍
Grand quiet cattle, moved without any hitches :)
Excellent idea for the crush, adding the eye and spud stone for a removable gate. I was just thinking it when you said you were going to do it. 🤣🤣👍🏼
Love your curved gate system. Wish my dad had something like that for loading hogs (always such fun growing up - not!). You handle your cows very nicely. Same weather here. Only 3 weeks until the days start lengthening 😀
Can’t wait 😎
"Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals & happiness."
Great video 👌🏻👍🏻
Turn your drawbar of your tractor upside down an the trailer will be level. Ps hope everyone is keeping well
Seen that too, never seen anyone put the ball on top of the hitch like he did there, have seen the top part of the cleat loosened and moved out of the way, and the ball put on the lower section but turning the hitch upside down would be much better idea.
@@vxnova1 have actually seen the top part brake of
.Good video .. I have seen these trailers to crack the chassis when there is no weight on front axle of the trailer. . .. some tractors you can't true hitch upside down... not sure about that Massey.
@@martincourtney4147 no reason way the drawbar can’t be turned upside down
@@richardmcelroy373 ⁶
You are a modern day farmer using those fancy zip types. I'm still in the old days of using baler twine.
Awsome video nice looking heifers you need sum help with the job you have to do keep safe 👍👍👩🌾👩🌾🇬🇧🇬🇧🚜🚜🏴🏴😷😷
You’ve a great system for loading the cattle, another enjoyable video as always. Who needs DoneDeal when you have your own UA-cam channel lol. Good sales pitch.
For the crush. If you drill a hole through the outer sleeve right through the inner when the gate is open and put a bolt into it and it’ll hold it open. Hope this helps Adrian
I have the same crush gate, i removed the spring under the lid of the crush gate and it stopped it from springing closed, only thing is that will have to be closed manually with it removed
I think Adrian is showing the benefit of investing time and energy in maintaining your equipment/vehicles/sheds, etc. Too many lads would have dogged a yoke and then wonder why it doesn’t last.
Excellent video as usual!. Just wondering what kind of power washer you use for washing the trailer, I have to hook up the tractor pto washer every time. Bit cumbersome, would be good to have a powerful washer at the ready all the time, have an electric washer but that doesn't really do the job!
Thanks
TX12-100, great washer, have it 12 years and it’s never giving me any bother.
@@IFarmWeFarm Thanks Adrian
Turn the tractor hitch upside down it'll sit more level and take the pressure off the back tyres
You need a high volume hose for the parlour make cleaning the trailer much easier
Not really, we have great pressure on our mains so don’t really see the need for it as yet
Volume Washer would be a game changer especially for a fella with a touch of ocd
@@michaelfitzgerald1259 I would be cheaper to get rid of the OCD 😜
@@IFarmWeFarm No, love the touch of OCD, Adrian. It's who you are. You like detail. It is brilliant to watch you. Love what you did with the new lights on the tractor and talking about the trailer. It will really enhance what you have already done with the trailer. Lights are something we need that often get overlooked because they are small. But as you showed us, can make a world of difference when they are properly operational.
Nice vidio Do you have a lot of trouble with most and mold forming where you are
Nice looking heifers
Would not be an irish farm without a bit of bale twine
Invest in a 3 point linkage ball hitch you can keep your trailer level at all times
This is dangerous as there is no down pressure on a 3 point hitch. The 3 point could raise up, the trailer nose will be in the air and trouble ahead. Think about it.
With crush gate If you push the side next to wall fully out towards wall it should say open
Bolt a gate hanger on to the shuttered wall in line with the head gate and drop a pin down through it and into the pipe of the head gate to keep it open, works perfect, I’ve it done myself
Great video as always I hope you are doing okay
Hi my name is Michael from Glasgow love your videos but can’t seem to get on to instagram my dad was from mohil don’t think that’s correct spelling is that down Leitrim way mums Sue was from north farming was my thing but it never happened for me thanks an stay safe
Were the dead crows hanging from the shed (7 June 2020) blown away
Bend a bit of steel and slide it into the holes at the top of the crush and that will hold it for you
I have the same headstock gate, when open if u push the bar close to the wall it should stay open does on mine.
Wow using zip ties to fasten hurdles, second-hand string here but then I'm only a beef and sheep farmer.
Really like your videos of everyday farm life, your farm and cattle are a real credit to you.
We cant afford those luxuries 😂
@@jerryodriscoll3691 Blue, zip ties? I thought that was brilliant. I would have used hay string or fence smooth wire. Zip ties are so much better.
@@georgiaannbicknell6129 cattle wont chew the zip ties is the main thing once you cut the 'tail' off them, but if you cut the baler twine a bit after the knot they wont be able to chew it much, I use baler twine as theres loads of it and it's always closer than zip ties
Really enjoyed this one A. Love the layout of new shed and crush...what powerhose have you
It’s a TX 12-100 interpump, there a great washer
Adrian drill the centre sleeve of the crush gate and pillar it's on in the open position. You can then stick a bolt or pin in it to keep it open. We had to do it on our gate. Smashing heifers you have there.
Greetings from County Antrim, love your channel and from previous earlier experience in farming ( Yorkshire Dales) etc I can relate to the time and effort you put into your enterprise and the quality of animal husbandry and attention to detail. Cleaning out the livestock trailer etc. You must get decent grants for your galv gates etc the way it should be for increased safety factor. Excuse my thumbnail(my young son). Respect and I am fully subscribed.👍
Hello Adrian, just wondering is it a power washer system you have for cleaning around your yard or do you also have volume washers.Just trying to decide what to do in my own farm that would be good and convenient for every day use.Thanks.
Regards Patrick
Love vids Adrian, keep up good work, farms a credit to ya
My Dad yous to have a hitch cattle trailer but it snap now he has a ball hitch cattle trailer
Great job Adrian 🙌🏻
Nice heifers, in very good condition!
Adian you may put a stock trailer on ur to purchase list b verry handy for hauling cattle back and forwad,👍
How many month old do you calve your heifers?
We calve them around 24-28 months depending on size
We calve them down at 2 years old
We would be interested in buying your box if you are selling it ?
Great video your head gate peace of wood and two nails down through it into the holes on top keeps it open.
Sir, are you the only one working on this farm?
You could leave the ball point bitch on the case and it would save swapping hitches everytime
I’ve smae head gate can’t keep open real pain when it’s one man show but if u got a bit of rebar and bend either end and open stick in too keep open keep up good vids 👍👍
You May invest in a camera holder for the tractor just so your driving with 2 hands
Have one but it awkward swapping them out when everything is soaking wet
@@IFarmWeFarm Yes, if it isn't snowing , it is raining this time of year. I have been watching your weather "potential disruption due to snow and ice" I am so glad you do not have far to travel to take care of the cattle now. Ice is no fun!
If u are selling it I would be very interested in buying it
Not just yet but maybe next year so keep tuned
We have the same sort of crush gate there is a hole up at the top on the side we slide a bolt in there to keep it open
When u open head gate make sure it open fully and then put handle to the middle
1220 why not hang a gate when not in use swing it round against the fence with a chain save having to un hinge it
To all you Americans, see how easy it is to hitch trailers on this side of the World.
You should buy a big Nugent trailer for the back of the tractor
Is that covid one side the other side...
If it is I hope they washed there hands 😜
Lovely hiefiers lad a trailer is thing I must get next year
Hello from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. Thanks for sharing your great video’s please keep them coming.
Well
Head gate shouldn't be like that
How many times have you dropped that adjustable spanner on the slats 😱😱😱😱
Never that one, but many others 😜
Will u buy another ifor William's or will u go for a trailer without the ball hitch??
Probably another ifor Williams Mark
@@IFarmWeFarm would you not go for a tractor drawn one?without the ball hitch.
I absolutely love your accent
I find them gates a nuisance rather the old ones
I might of missed it but why were you not wintering the heifers in that slatted house?
They will be calving soon so they need to be at home for that, we will be filling that shed in the second part of this video will our younger heifers
You make handling dairy young stock sooooo easy LOL but you have nice race which cows like trumpet style race. Nice trailer no need upgrade yet👍
That tractor isn’t a 152😂
I loved that look on your face when the tail gate wouldn't go down because you were to close to the gate!!! LOL
How do ye keep ur farm/tractors so tidy!!! We have our machines dirty a week after its purchase🤣🤣🤣
It is because he washes his like we do
@@lukerynhart2427 lucky we just forget🤣🤣
Turn the hitch on the tractor upside down and it will keep the trailer level behind the tractor
Why don’t you use your l 200 jeep
I mentioned that on the beginning of the video, it was on lend to a mate of mind that day
Some nice well grown heifers, will be interested to see them calve and enter the milking herd.
Your a v good farmer
Put a spring latch pin on was and long enough to hold the gate and I'd things goes belly up you can pull the latch and gate closes
Excellent videos lad. Keep up the great work.
Well done.👍☘️
I bored a hole through the two pipes in the crush gate and put a pin in it stops outer pipe rotating on outside pipe then holds gate open. Keep up good videos
Do you put lime on your cow mate to keep their udders clean because we do and it works great we very rarely get mastightis
Not to often, I just clean them very regular, zero mastitis here most of the time
😁🇮🇪🙏👍❤️
Hi
How many cows you milking and how many acres are ye farming
Griat video just wondering what preserwaser were you using
Push the crush gate next the wall towards the wall it should latch
Класная ферма!
If you turn the head gate a round it will work
You should get a robot perfect set up for it
Quite surprised you god 5 big heifers into a 10x6 box, they're a handy size trailer. The weather actually hasn't been that bad so far for winter touch wood, very few wet days down here in cork. Great video and congrats on 20k 🥳
Cheers lads, it’s was a bit of a squeeze but just about got them in
It always surprises me that moving from Ireland to the US that they don’t have the pickup hitch option here. I seen a section on grassmen where they toured the John Deere factory and they said that only uk and Ireland have that option,
The other thing is why they have such small tyres under all their tractors, theyd have tyres that would be on a ford 4000 here on a massive 200hp JD
Great vid adrian hows the new shed coming along
Contractor is coming to measure up soon hopefully 🙏
thanks adrian,
Have u ever had any staff on ur farm
No staff just the family
first
Why change the trailer???
Just a little bigger would be nice and also handy
Ifor Williams. Made to last a lifetime.
new ifor are made from chocolate. tuffmac or nugent far better now.
New ones are made by primary school kids with recycled bean tins! I’d have our old one back any day.
Great video always enjoy ray M
