Adam, thank you for using your powerful voice to bring attention to the epidemic of domestic violence. And thank you for being brave enough to share your personal experience. Your talk reveals just what a talented and thoughtful young man you are. Clearly, the apple does sometimes fall far from the tree.

When I was a very young child, I distinctly remember witnessing violent altercations between my parents. One particular Christmas , there was a severely intense moment, they were practically nose to nose and one of them was holding a kitchen knife... I am not sure whether it is just the psychological part of my brain protecting me, but I cannot remember to this day which of them was holding the knife ! I am not so far from being 50 years of age, but when I think back those moments in my childhood they still bring me to tears, even though we have good relationships nowadays !

As a domestic violence victim, I disagree with the cartoons aspect of normalizing it. At least they are shedding light on it, whether funny or not. The song on the other hand, yeah that song bothered me. They made domestic violence look cool and normal. It was a song accepting a relationship with domestic violence. Everything else he said was great.

Domestic violence can lead to community violence then it can go further. One person violated to an extreme measure

Can someone share a video of when a mom stayed because to leave would have meant the children would goto the father bc she was physically disabled and without any means whatsoever: to stay meant she could at least take all of the abuse, rather than the children? Please? These children have said that I always stood in front of the abuse and the reason he didn't hurt them? Police do nothing. The courts do nothing about him testifying under oath that he has broken so many of my bones and then LITERALLY "COMMEND" HIM for "getting help. Said help being some online videos he paid for and then muted the entie videos or sat laughing when he did listen. And then the judge (TN) proceeds to shred what was left of me. Can someone out there help me? I'm in east TN with a world of heartache. There hasn't been any intimate contact between me and this man in many, many years. I have sought help and done everything suggested and no one would protect or even offer help. People say all of the things a lady can do...I've done them AND FOLLOWED THROUGH. No one has followed through on their end and it has caused me to even question my faith in God. The "help" closes me off when they find out I am a conservative and Christian. This is astonishing to me.

I agree with a lot of what he says, but to say that society thinks you are a wimp or that it's not okay to talk about domestic violence, is completely false as we live in a time where people will encourage you to talk about things, but never force you to.

The male that impregnated the woman that gave birth to me physically abused me since I can remember but he is popular. He just spitted in my face.
