I have watched all the "big" you tube contributors, and you are very near the top of my list. People can really learn diagnostics watching a channel like this. No humor or other distractions. There are many places to go to get that type of content. Thank you for the videos sir!
Love the video thanks. I use the same technique for a/f sensor and 02 oxygen sensor testing or diagnostics. I either press the break or the accelerator pedal rapidly or continuously, .depending on what I need rich or lean..
Nice one, with these computerised auto systems I can see from your videos that there is still a lot of thinking that needs to be done to get the whole system to work right.🍀
Very nice diagnosis my man. I believe that you are right and that O² code is a byproduct of the EVAP code. I have a feeling we won't be seeing a follow up diagnosis on this one. I got my money on Debo! 😅 keep 'em coming buddy! 👌🏼👍🏼
@mikeburdi3464 Hahah Thanks my Friend! The customer decided to replace the purge valve himself, the vehicle was indeed fixed after the purge valve was replaced, No 02 sensor needed!!
Hello Deo, thank you very much for the nice and educational video, i enjoyed it. I worked as a road assistance mechanic in the Netherlands. keep it up on this way! Regards
Good video. Good analyses, would be nice to see if the replacement of the purge valve did fix the rich condition and the new O2 sensor was not needed. The evap system plumbing can get complicated. Would be nice to see a diagram of the system from "All Data" or shop manual.
Great video, how many parts changers would have gone for new o2 sensor then looked at the Evap system. Well done and explained step by step. One thing just you said at the end let me know, videos especially automotive ones are always 100% better when you show the fix or at least follow up after repair. Thanks for content 👍
@RobertJohnson-kv6dr Thank you! unfortunately I couldn't do a follow up video, I wanted to, the customer decided to replace the purge valve himself and he did tell me that the vehicle was fixed and the 02 sensor code didn't come back!
The things shop rag you used for the blockage, will surely leak because it is cloth material thing.. this will not allow the check ball gauge in the smoke machine to fire down quick …
Amazing Deo. Really appreciate your didacation and nice details and patience . A question please .What vacuum means in the system is leaking out or suckling in or both. Thanks a million
Hello First of all thanks for the reply. Yes I did the test. If I cut the current supply of 3 or 4 there is no change car still vibrating and if cut the 1 or 2 injekter motor stop running??
A lot of knowledge! Nice ! But a smoke machine without a disco ball ? This channel could be better... 😁 Ohhh! A disco ball with the flashy light old school timing adjustment thingy.... I leave it up to you !
@benjaminlevi7792 The 02 sensor was the byproduct of the Stuck open Purge valve issue, after replacing the purge valve the 02 sensor code didn't come back!
I have a 01 bmw 330i with the m54 engine I have a p0171 and p0174 lean code with low fuel, I replaced all vacuum lines and gaskets intake included fuel pump, fuel filter with fuel pressure regulator and fuel injectors I believe my vacuum issue is solved but I’m still getting only 20 psi at fuel rail should be 50.7 any suggestions thanks in advance
@chrispirrone7798 after replacing all those components your problem should be fixed, that's odd! check for a restriction in the fuel line between the fuel rail and the fuel tank! if you installed a good fuel pump on it and a good pressure regulator you should have good fuel pressure, unless you got a pump that was defective out of the box, did you get your pump from BMW?
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair first off thank you for responding love the videos the fuel pressure regulator is built into the filter on that particular model and the pump is after market from rock auto the filter is Bosch and injectors are after market same place R/O the car runs good once it starts (plenty of power ) for 270K miles on it but the kicker is this is my 3rd fuel pump I’ve put in it and at roughly 40 miles per hour only in closed loop I get a very weird noise from the rear of the car can’t figure it out
Hello I am from Germany and needs your help have chrysler grand voyager 2.4 rg 2001 black smock at cold start idling very bad if I cut the injekt 1 or 2 line motor dies changed o2 qensor. Map.s eger valve long time feul trim 24.6 at 850 RPM bei heigh sometimes lows to 0 or 19 short time mostly 0. Need you suggestions Regards From Frankfurt. Germany
@muzaffarahmedsyed1113 Hello, Thanks for letting me know where you are watching from! it sounds like you have injectors that are dripping more fuel in the cylinders, I recommend you get your injectors tested!
After a little research yes it makes sense. The atmospheric pressure that pushes the booster diaphragm forward is released to the vacuum side when the pedal is released thus feeding extra air to the engine giving a lean condition.
Excellent diagnostic very informative I will also buy smoke machine
@tsepangnoko1962 Thanks!

@sianacole7596 My Pleasure! when we talk about a vacuum leak it's when unmetered air enters the intake manifold at idle!
One more thing low term feul trim is aprox 0 +/- but long term fuel trim is 0+/- only if RPM is above 2500 at low rpm it's 24.79.
Map is 17-21 mm(vac)
