it turned out beautiful. And the best part for me....no talking. I lose interest if there is too much jibber jabber....LOL....Thanks! I picked up some great tips.
man I was wondering how you were going to put it back together - so appreciate sustainability, this would have been thrown out and you breathed a new life to it. Amazing job!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Really appreciate you watching my work. This was definitely going to end up in the bin and not sits nicely in my garden. The mosquitoes love it, the birds not so much 🤣🤭👩🔧
Beautiful job fixing that. Can’t see the damage at all. How hard was it to match up the dowels? Looks as if that may have caused some heartache. Be interested how you did that. Great to see your little helpers getting into it. Bet you they had a ball with the paint.
Thanks mate. Yes aligning the dowels was a bit tricky. I cut shorter ones which sat almost flush with the other piece. Bit of paint on the tip to mark the other side. I'll send u a pic 😉
@leeannluigi1644 The way I did it was to centre the dowels where i wanted them on one side and drilled the holes. Then, use another set of dowels that are flushed with the surface and put paint on the tip. As i sat the top piece on top, the paint marked the spot on the other side. Then drilled and glued in place.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Yes lots of options possible. We have sandstone color bricks in the backyard so wanted to lean towards that shade.😉👍👩🔧
Thanks for watching- I do show the different types of products on screen- example : liquid nail, external crack filler... I don't show brands because you might not have the same ones in your country 😉
Hi , I think they were 10mm thick. The trick is to get the 2 parts well aligned before u drill the opposite side. Use a bit of paint on the tip of the dowel to get the right spot on the other side. Good luck 👍
For the outside of the bowl and the statue I used a 3 in 1 ( primer/sealant/undercoat). The inside of the bowl (the part holding water )was waterproofed so water does not leak out. For the outside of the bowl I applied the paint straight & wiped off. For the inside I mixed the paint with the weather seal/ waterproofing and painted it. Thanks @LittleRestorers
Thanks for watching. I state the type of product used but not the brands simply because if you not from the same country as me it will be irrelevant to you. Example: you can search for water based water proofing membrane at your local hardware and have different brands which will do the same job. Hope that helps.👍
Thanks for watching- If you are referring to the product at 3:16, it's a waterproofing membrane applied only to the inside of the bowl, so it doesn't leak .
@@LittleRestorers Yes I see, I just noticed the bag and the words , "UV resistant". So I guess You don't really need UV resistant , it you paint it afterwards. You really need UV resistant paint.
I Don't believe it this is the exact same bird bath that I have, which is broken. I hope liquid nails is strong enough to hold the actual bath together
Thanks for watching- Mine is holding together fine so far. The bath part was kicked to the ground by an animal and didn't crack where it was glued. Good luck fixing yours 👍
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Am not sure what you mean as all products used were showed. 1:08 - Landscape liquid nails 2:10 - No more cracks powder filler 3:15 - Weather seal 3:30 - Undercoat 4:10 - Acrylic paint Anything in particular you referring to ?

Where do I find a little power washer like that?! Excellent video! Thank you!

Thank you for watching. The pressure washer is " Karcher" brand. 👍

I don't understand why you use UV protectant under the paint? The paint will fade because it is on top.

Are all those chemicals safe for birds...? 😮
Yes. The water proofing is non-toxic.

I'm not sure all of those products are safe for birds.
Only thing holding water is the bowl where only a safe waterbase waterproofing membrane was used.
