I’m sitting here trying to figure out that snare tone and, boom, you’ve got an answer. Awesome insight, as usual. Oh, and you’re gonna love your mask when it arrives. I’ve got three and I’m still stunned by the quality.
I hugely appreciate this! I hope you will continue to check out my latest videos! And if you have any recommendations of things i should check out (if i haven't already made a video) then by all means comment it and ill add it to my list!
Your my favorite artist on drums. I can't play anything am not a musician. I told guy's at work at work I cry when I watch guitar drum and bass playtrught. You just have to love metal. I grow up listening to Dio King Diamonds Metallica and a lot of metal. I never had the appreciation for drummers that I have now. The singing is not the same as my younger days. Tatiana of Jinjer is my favorite singer of today's singers. I'm a Metal head I listen to everything metal.
If you want to see, maybe even react to, a crowd that comes together (like they always do on big festivals for this band) it is blind guardians - valhalla from the dvd "Imaginations through the looking glass".
My best guess on double mics on the same side would be the same as overlapping bass kicks for Hip Hop to make the sound smoother? I would only assume that because the tight snare might sound harsh live if you don't level the mix between two mics. It's just a guess, though.
@@DrumlionMusic And wait again for the mask, they passed through some trouble (war shit etc) .. In general we got it in between 1-2 mounth in Europe. So Idk just wait a bit more, it can take some time
@@Zwelh i actually thought about that about 2 days after I placed my order that there would be really long delays because of that. Im ok with that. As long as people are ok, and I eventually get the mask one day.
My guess is that one mic is probably a condenser and the other a dynamic. People do this in studio. A condenser catches the weight and body or 'meat' of the snair. The dynamic is a higher frequency. Or theure the same mic, and they probably put a noise gate or something on one and process the shit out of it, and then mix the singals. Im not 100 percent sure honestly. I've definitely seen other drummers do this live.
makes sense. Its obvious the sound guy for this venue actually cares about the in-house mixing. Ive played gigs where the sound guy could give a f*** less about it.
@@DrumlionMusic i think Evgeny trying to brush up his sound as much as possible, plus to sound little bit original, its a plus for unique band. You cannot hear this small difference, figure out it, but it exists. Thats the trick)
2 mics on snare top - 1st, traditional dynamic mic for body, 2nd, usually condenser or dynamic with more highs for more presence. typical solution for recording, not often for live set
Thank you! As a recording solution it definitely makes sense! Like you said, for live performance this is definitely unordinary... I appreciate you educating me on this mystery
Just know, for this comment, I really appreciate you. I do my best to add context for music like this based on my own experiences. Stick around, because I definitely got more reactions to offer some insight for that you might dig.
What is a song by STP that is guaranteed to fire you up with energy?
Yes.
*Demolisher, bonecrusher, chronic slaughter, made in russia*
@@DuragJones all excellent choices!
Honestly this song right here, Bratva, and Bonebreaker just hype me right up. Love the groove on Bratva in particular.

Sounds like a plan!

In France we have the Hellfest (one of the biggest metal event in Europe / France), maybe you was talking about that event, Idk but I think it's that.

I think two mics are for switching sound presets. Just to keep original analogue sound .

Quick question for ya -- how much harder is it to play at this level with that freaking mask on?

The love of music is what unites me to them. And that's what's most important.
It’s because he’s using his sticks reverse. That’s why he sets mic up like that. If he didn’t if wouldn’t pick up hits hits properly.
