That does not reflect real world performance at all. No weight to push, no air resistance to fight, no traction issues.

@@StockCarGuy I know. As was I. So many people though think cars will accelerate as fast as they do on the dyno. And or don’t understand there is engine horsepower and wheel horsepower... They think if a 700 horsepower car puts down only 590 on the dyno than it’s not a 700 horsepower car when really it actually is... There’s a lot of uneducated kids entering the car world. The real one. They come from playing Forza and don’t have a clue

Fathouse is next level and a proper place to handle a masterpiece like this. Unfortunately, the only type of people that can afford such a super rare steed, and it being an extremely rare run of production numbers (10 of each/3 year models/30 total produced/around 210k on top of the cost of the Shelby) this dyno run is the hardest itll ever be cranked. Itll live in temperature control, parked on carpet, and shown off to friends of the owner. Its a true collectors item. Thanks for sharing!

Impressive. My 08 GT/CS with a whipple and perfect tune with the factory stock engine made 505 whp and 486 wtrqu. With a smoothing factor of 3. Can you possibly calculate how that converts to crank numbers. I have an exedy mach500 stock driveline 5 speed with 3.31 rear end with 20 inch wheels wrapped in 315/35/20 NT05’s.
wheelHP * 1.15 = crankHP
That's a rough estimate for RWD cars, another way to calculate crank HP would be through fuel flow, but that requires some more info on your tune and more math than I care to explain.
@@heygek2769 well thanks dude 👍🏻 mine comes out to 580 horsepower. Not bad for just a 281 3 valve with nothing done to it. By that I mean all that expensive forged and polished stuff in and on the engine.... fancy exhaust work or pulleys. Just an inter cooled Whipple tuner kit, Roush “extreme off road” cat back resonator exhaust, and some tuning with my last guy landing on the healthiest one at 505 wheel without even icing the intercooler like my previous tuner did to get me 502.... Even at 15 years old and 97K miles the car sounds so healthy and drives like a wild stallion. Only thing I’m afraid’s gunna break is the serpentine belt.... shes thrown a few in her time.

Indeed it is. The Code Red is price tagged at +200k with a supplied GT500 (20-22 model years) overall cost +300k! There will only be 10 Code Red builds for each model year (30 in total). So, it’s a very exclusive build carrying the Shelby badging. You could in fact send FatHouse your GT350 and get their 1400R (twin turbo) build for 159k (you supply the GT350 - model years ‘16 to ‘22), with a claimed 900rwhp on 93octane or 1400rwhp on E85. Of course I’d venture to say, there aren’t many 1400R - GT350 packages, so it’s just as exclusive as the Code Red.

Still 159k just to go for twins is crazy. Twins usually cost around 15k installed. Your still paying for the fathouse name. Just get the hellion kit and you’ll make the same power for a ton of money less.

It sure is but the fit and finish plus the implied warranty for the work they do is unmatched. Plus their twin turbo setup is a custom fabrication it’s not an “out the box” setup. Just saying.

Drivetrain loss is not a percentage. It's fair to say you lose a certain percentage in factory form but you do not lose more power in the drivetrain as power increases. If you lose 100 hp at 500hp you still lose 100hp at 1200hp etc..
In this case being a dual clutch I'm guessing it's more like a 70hp loss. An auto with an unlocked converter would be about double that.

Negative. It is 15% loss, that’s a standard. Some are a bit less due to efficiency of the drivetrain but maybe a percent. And yes, it could increase with larger numbers due to increased heat being created.

It’s a great car, but at 209k you could take a regular gen 3 coyote and stick some big turbos on it and you can get the same power if not more for a lot and I mean over 100k in savings. Your only paying for the Shelby and fathouse names. But 209k is just way to high and only made for the top 1% who I couldn’t care less about.

Not that is matters…. Apples and Mustangs. The Plaid is mass produced, from factory, way it is…. Plus it is a highway cruising sedan.
But then, above likely does not matter in the 1/8, 1/4, or flying mile. Tesla will win. Called traction, HP/torque where it matters. It will win first time, and do 1000 winning runs without mechanical issue (Tesla Plaid Channel has way over 1000 runs in his Teslas with no mechanical or maintenance work (outside of tires). No way Mustang will stay together with no maintenance at 100 or so runs.
