Bohemian Rhapsody was released in 1975. Freddie died in 1991. This Green Day concert is 2017......... Only Freddie can lead an audience of 65,000 people 26 years after his death.... And many of the people in this crowd weren't even born when Freddie died..... but they know all the words....
I was lucky enough to be in that crowd, completely spontaneous reaction. The band were due on a bit later, music was playing on the PA but then Bohemian Rhapsody came on and that happened.
It's coming a little late but... French national here, I know the lyrics of that song. Sang along all those people in the stadium. 🥰 NUMEROUS times, thanks to UA-cam (🤣🤣) I'm envious of you guys for that moment. Cherish it.
The members of the band Green Day are huge Queen/Freddie Mercury fans. They play the soundtrack of Bohemian Rhapsody before every concert. This time, they had a camera set up perfectly to record the crowd singing. It has been sung at other Green Day concerts, but this is the best one. Thanks Green Day !!!! and R I P dear Freddie !!!!
As a Brit I can tell you this is pretty much our national anthem. Freddy died 20 odd years before this happened just shows how much of a legend he is. He's very much still alive over here.
This is not the first or the last time a Green Day crowd sang along to this song when it was played over the public address system, but it is the first time the band set up a camera at the back of the stage to record it. The things that make this performance amazing are when it was done (42 years after the song was released and 1 year before the film was released) and how in sync the crowd was (apart for a bit in the operatic section) despite not being able to hear the music over their own singing, they even sing the guitar solo part.
Yes! Green Day is a fan of Queen. Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" has become the introduction to their concert and can be sung by the audience. It has sounded differently by the audience everywhere. Thank you for great reaction.
I love when the crowd starts jumping when the "headbanging" part starts. I know this happened once at a Garth Brooks concert in Ireland. The entire audience started singing as Garth did and you could tell by the look on his face, he was blown away.
In the uk everyone knows this, no matter your age. As a 13 year old I know all the Lyrics, It’s built into our blood. Although I was never around when Freddie was alive I still look up to him as inspirational.
Great reaction and thank for not singing crazy with song like other reactions , love how he says "when was this ! This was a while since he died ..." Yes , it is decades after his death !!!
this was spontaneous n it's also a Green Day thing. I think there's another one from Argentina. but this one's in London. it's the motherland. it just hits different.
it's the only one mate I was there. It was his hometown, his house is only 1.5 miles away you think us Brits don't know the lyrics it's becoming our unofficial National anthem (with your permission MA'M ) still love our Queen (as Freddie did) i will not bow though. mark my words the Queen would not mind (well more clued up than our stupid politicians)
Were Brits we make our own entertainment the world can say what it wants about the British but when we party WE PARTY we can out sing anyone Britain the music capitol of the world English Irish Scotish and Welsh together untouchable
I've seen this before. I think it was more or less spontaneous. I don't know how you'd verify the actual number if people singing, but probably ba world record yeah. Have you done any of the Rocking 1000 vids? Ask Highly if you haven't. Great reaction
There are several crowd singing vids out there and lots of BoRhap, there's a good one of Hey Jude (why wouldn't there be?) and other well known ditties.
Did you see the cymbal waving when they sang 'goodbye everybody' ... Freddie up to his mischief again? We still miss you, you know.
Nobody booed, it's just part of the song. "Mama, oooh" 😁😁

That's just the love we still have for Freddie Mercury. They are singing with love and pride. X
Myself and 65,000 others burst into the best rock song ever by a true legend

Thats not true, wtf are you talking about.
At birth we're given a birth certificate and the lyrics sheet for Bohemian Rhapsody!
It's coming a little late but... French national here, I know the lyrics of that song.

You took the words out of my comment 😂. I'd think more brits know the words to this more than the national anthem too.
Freddie died in 1991, 33 years ago now.

Queen fans never quit...even at someone else's concert. Love Freddie fan.
That song just happened to be playing on the PA and the crowd just sang along!
65,000 people singing in unison! I love this song and video! The Wayne’s World mosh is absolutely necessary! Great reaction 🤣👍🏴
I ran into all kind of angles but this one looking into the skies is the best only because u can see the multitudes of the people 🥰
The reason? Love of Queen and Freddie Mercury!! It’s that simple! Listen to the crowd mimic Freddie EXACTLY!! 65,000!!

I was about 15 feet from the front right next to the barrier, the security were extremely cool, one younger girls security was smiling soo much.
Great reaction and thank for not singing crazy with song like other reactions , love how he says "when was this ! This was a while since he died ..." Yes , it is decades after his death !!!
Aye man. I think I was more focused on your message. Very cool. A lot of people need that so respect for being so positive. Subbing just for that
Freddie directing from above. Who else could do this.

How pissed do you think security was that they couldn't join in...
Its 65,000 people at Hyde Park in
London England before Green Day hits the stage.
Bands play good songs before the concert to get everybody hyped up.
Freddy would have been proud
lol really you can here one boo out of 50 thousand ppl and its really ooh
Interim music played before green day came on the band heard them singing and let them sing it before they came on
The guy that boo'd is .001% of the crowd. Statistically that's insignificant.
Yes 65k only Heh! .
Look at the cloud on the left...looks like...
WTF
There are several crowd singing vids out there and lots of BoRhap, there's a good one of Hey Jude (why wouldn't there be?) and other well known ditties.
No reason behind it. Play queen to Brit’s and we will sing
Great reaction love it, be good to see you join the Harry Mack Family. Try Omegle Bars 45 Harry Mack
I believe it was intermission before Green Day came on stage.
65.000 to70.000

Dude, you bang on like Beavis and Butthead...
Notice how he doesnt say its in London, England, Americans hate the fact that the Brits still rule the world. LOL.
No, we don't lol
For participation try Rush YYZ in Rio
So who moved the symbol at 3.00 ?
More than fifty around eighty to ninety thousand
76,000
65,000
