@@JanetStarChild Maybe she used to play with barbies as a child in K-2L before Space Pirates raided the colony, killed her parents and Chozo took her to Zebes, where she obviously couln'd play with dolls because survival was priority. She was naturally brunette and Varia dyed her hair green, so she got liking to dyeing her hair so she can be as Barbie. Who knows, maybe that's what happened.
This is the same quandary with Tina/Terra Bradford from FF VI/III. Her hair in-game is green, but her illustrations are blonde, considering their hues come close together at times. Could the artwork have been passed around amongst color-impaired producers?
"from the music score of the original Gundam franchise, the director of atsroboy and the producer of ghost in the shell, Nintendo presents.....Metroid the first movie" 😂😂😂
Oh my god Hyper Game, what a fantastic work of art! Your peppy, energetic, exciting rendition of Metroid's usual dank, intoxicatingly foreboding songs is astounding! Keep up your exquisite work, and I look forward to your channel expanding to the level you merit!
I heard your other video and i got say this is your best work yet. Mainly because you seem to take real risk in the sound departement. I mean i get the rock aproach and dont get me wrong, i love it, but here the bizarro nature of Metroid end up letting loose a very impacting creativity. And yes i know a.i is imply, but the choice make by the human is really strong nonetheless.
Thanks and it was super fun to make these tracks! I attempted to capture that 80s sci-fi synth sound that you'd find in movies like Tron and the anime movie Lensman, where a lot of ambient sounds and synth distortion are used to enhance and build the atmosphere. Thank you also for mentioning the human choice taken with these too, as it really does make or break them. So man people think that AI is a 'one-click' solution, but there's so much effort in regard to training and directing needed to get an AI piece where it needs to be, as well as splicing multiple tracks with varied levels together. I may end up doing more synth styled tracks (as opposed to rock) and there's definitely more Metroid tracks in the works with a similar sound, s please stay tuned 😁
Ok, first off, Samus with green hair lioks really cool, Justin Bailey style, hehe ...oh wait, the cover art is AI? Well, bugger me -_- Second... damn, this is one cool remix selection! A pity it's also "partially AI", but I already wrote all a this by the time I found out, so might as well share it regardless. It does sound good still, I just don't know if it was an AI that did the music or if you just used AI tools to help with work on the arrangement of the notes and it was still mostly done by you. Morally and creatively upsetting if it was the former, questionable if it was the latter, but oh well. A disclaimer would be nice anyways. Regardless, here's my thoughts on the tracks. 1 - The Title Theme feels very fitting of a spunky and flashy intro animation scene, with lots of spacey special effects and scenes from the show starring our heroine! 2 - Brinstar feels even more like the epic action sequence track that it's always been, maybe used for a cool introduction scene with Samus doing cool stuff in her armor, hunting space pirates perhaps, to then remove her helmet at the end, a way to say "this badass armor-clad bounty hunter is this show's protagonist, and she's awesome". They'd probably use this as a leitmotif for other action scenes too. 3 - Norfair surprisingly feels like... lounge music! Like, the kinda stuff you'd hear in a space bar, perhaps. Maybe where Samus goes to relax, maybe where she takes her jobs, I dunno, but I definitely get a casual vibe from this one, like it's the part of a story-driven action game where you're talking with your friends or crew. ...oh, but I didn't see this coming! It then becomes pumped up with high octane! Now it feels like chase music across the streets of a mega city, on flying bikes across the neon-lit traffic, or maybe Samus' gunship dodging laser beams and asteroids! 4 - Kraid's Lair is as intriguing as ever, but it quickly rises into action! This one is admittedly a bit tough to nail what kinda scene it'd be, maybe something a lot more plot relevant. Could be Samus seeing some old areas of Zebes teeming with life and activity. The second part of the theme has some great percussion beats to keep it pumping! Maybe these are Samus' missile shots, hehe! Heck, this leitmotif could be used in Kraid's battle too. 5 - Interesting how you call this Lower Norfair instead of Ridley's Lair... Either way, it's as tense as it gets, and this has one of those things I love about Norfair themes: I can honestly feel the heat of the magma and volcanic smokes hitting my face at some points! The song becomes more energetic as we transition to some fighting scenes and perilous leaps, I imagine! It almost feels like it's building up to Ridley a bit at the end! 6 - The Item Room track is... surprisingly funky! Good beat! Not sure where it'd be playing, I'm honestly just vibing 🙌🙌🙌 it does seem to be somewhat victorious, so maybe it's some cool-feeling moment with other characters, after a boost in morale, or a small victory. 7 - Item Acquisition Fanfare, huh? Quite a bit more extensive, no? Hehehe! Anyways, cool track! It feels plot-related as well, tho maybe more associated with major upgrades to Samus' arsenal, which makes sense. Maybe it's also for a trek to her next destination, advancing into the next battle, it does give that vibe as well. 8 - Ah, Tourian... the coolest garbled mess of computer noises I have heard, it got a cool upgrade! Definitely final-battle worthy material!... wasn't expecting it to be so short tho. 9 - Heh, classic! There's really no surprise in where the Escape theme would fit, right? 10 - For an ending theme, I get a bit more Credits vibes, but I can see this working well as an ending theme too, maybe a smooth transition from the ending to the credits, with the ending still going during the credits actually! Overall, yep, a fantastic remix!
Thanks for the input and glad you liked it! I've updated my profile to say that the work is AI assisted to avoid any confusion. I also plan on releasing more Metroid tracks in future, so please stay tuned.
I am curious. What are you using to create this in AI? You're doing it using the original melodies from the game which is already more than a lot of the prompt generators can handle.
I love that green bob cut on Samus that kind of looks like her helmet.
Green hair purple eye Samus should be canon.
Suitless Samus hair with Varia on the NES is green.
It's way better than the generic blonde ponytail and blue eyes. Who the hell asked for Samus to look like Barbie?

Hey, maybe she could be Zero Suit SAX. The weird colors would fit this strange dopelganger.

I can totally see this as an 80's cartoon adaptation soundtrack. It has that nostalgia vibe to it. Great work!
Samus is giving the term 'helmet hair' a whole new meaning.
Samus was always a scifi magic girl, and these tracks are nothing short of magical.
Wow. More technopop 80s remixes of NES games, please. This is brilliant, mate.

This is fantastic, I love it
Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing
Wooooooow, qué genial suenan tus versiones de la música de este juego. Lo guardaré en mi Playlist👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Thanks for the kind words and so happy you enjoy them 👍
There will definitely be more Metroid game tracks to come.
@HyperGameMusicRemix Rock on Hyper Game. Take care. 🫡
they're masterpieces!
This would be a neat soundtrack for a modern Metroid 1 remake that doesn't copy Super Metroid.
This is as excellent as it is faboulously creative❤❤❤
Dude this rocks!

@HyperGameMusicRemix thank for your answer and i will 😁
I like how Samus has green hair, Justin Bailey style, hehe
That's what I was going for 😁and thought it would be amusing.
This is really cool!
now it sounds more like Ys haha
love the art
Thanks! I'm tempted to do a few Ys Remixes, but not sure there's much point with the calibre of masterful Ys tracks by the JDK Band out there.
😮 these soundtrack should go for Metroid remake

Item Get is a bop
good theme for a remake of Knight Rider
funny considering the game was released in the 80s :P
Is that green-hair Samus AI art? It's cute but something about it is a lil off I can't put my finger on it
❄️

It's a combination AI prompts and midi integration. Let's just say Chat GPT is invaluable 😁
@ Now I’m curious. Can you elaborate?
Is the music AI too, or just the artwork?
Partially
...ah. Well, that's a bit disappointing, but alright. I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere, so I went in with the faith it wasn't.
Where's the cover art from?
It's AI
@seemo5789 Yeah, figures
