Hi Sweeny! When you said "So this is a Metal band" i couldn't help but smile and think "Oh boy he has no idea what he's about to witness" 😄
LOVEBITES is an amazing Metal band. The main reason for the white dresses is that LOVEBITES unlike most metal bands don't go the "dark and doom" route, they are all about spreading positive and uplifting messages and that is also reflected in their lyrics (which are all in English and very good). Also they are very small and the white helps them stand out on stage.
I enjoyed your reaction very much, please continue your LOVEBITES discovery with us through these reactions.

You have landed on metal perfection. I suggest that you stick around with reacting to them for as long as you can, we will enjoy watching you discover just HOW talented they are. This is but a tiny sample of their diverse (but metal) repertoire and you’ve only scratched the surface of how good their playing, songwriting, composition and message really is. It won’t surprise you to know that the better reactions are always by those who, like me, are a little more, ahem, mature… great reaction, more please. Though their I’ve stuff is ALL this good, their MV’s are innovative and well produced. I could suggest, but without even looking I already know that an army of people have picked up on this reaction and have sprung into action. Yes, love these ladies! These ladies were born to be together! Your right, the guitarists compliment each other with their differences. Bassist with the drummer just keep the beat rolling! The singer brings a unique voice to the mix that just sets them apart! Thank you for reacting to this video.
Iam in love from Bolivia Latinoamerica, LOVEBITES, Guitarists Miyako and Midori are both from the city of Osaka, both took piano lessons for years (Midori also learned organ), and both took up the guitar relatively late. Midori went to music school - Musicians Institute Osaka branch, where one of her instructors was the late Mikio Fujioka, lead guitarist of Babymetal's Kami Band - and Miyako is basically self-taught. Miyako made use of a well-known instructional book series, whose title literally translated into English is "Mechanical Training Phrases from Hell", working her way through the entire guitar series. There are versions of these instructional books for bass and drums too, and there's hardly a Japanese musician on those instruments who hasn't studied them.

So it seems you’ve been lovebitten too, uh? Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile great musicians. They have influences by Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Gary Moore, etc., but they have been developing their own and unique style. They really shine live. In a little more than 4 years they have composed an impressive song catalog. They play (mostly) power metal but they don’t limit themselves to this genre and many of their songs are so uplifting and food for thought. Hey Sweeny, I will admit that I have not read all of the comments, but I have some information that may make a huge difference in he future... Miho, the Bassist and one of the co-founders; announced in lat 2020 or early this year (2021) that she is leaving the band. I don't know the particulars and if you can get more information on that issue, please update everyone. I absolutely adore these ladies. I started calling Haruna, the Energizer Bunny, because she just goes on, and on, and on... Can you imagine the condition her abs and legs are in doing what she does for 2 hours at every concert? I absolutely love this band, they slay it all the time, every time! If you haven't done it yet; check out Band Maid... Thrill... They are another all female Japanese metal band, you will suffer metal shock!

Enjoyed the reaction! New subscriber. Their guitars are tuned the same, but I think I know what you're saying. They use two totally different rigs (Midori: ESP guitar, Seymour Duncan pickups through a Kemper head and Marshall cab. Miyako: Dean Icon with Fishman Fluence pickups through a Peavey 5150 and Orange cab), which gives them each a distinct tone. And yes, they each have very different approaches to their playing style, which complements each other very well. Definitely keep the Lovebites coming. There is quite a trend of all female hard rock/heavy metal bands in Japan right now. Two more of my favorites are Band Maid (a bit closer to hard rock), and Nemophila (more of a modern metal sound with 7-string guitars). Check them out if you want to dive further down the rabbit hole. Looking forward to the next one!

You ain't seen nothing yet. I think it's great that five women can play metal better and rock harder than many men. Lovebites are definitely the real deal. I would put them up against any male metal band and I think they would probably slay the opposition with their technical ability, songwriting skills and live performance. That they make it seem so effortless at the same time as looking like supermodels on the catwalk and perform a full 90 minute plus gig, playing their instruments, moving around the stage, headbanging and changing the pedals on their effects boards wearing four inch high heels and do not even break sweat says it all says it all. Does a band really need mutliple tattoos and piercings, ragged jeans and T-shirts, drug and alcohol problems to play metal ? I bet that if you had only HEARD this track you would have assumed it was a male band fronted by a female singer.

I know there's a lot of music out there, but as much as you say you think they are amazing, you haven't done one since. That I'm a little surprised about. Their catalog is stuffed full of amazing songs.

Hey, I do have a question though.....why you paused the video and...???????? xdddddd, just kidding. The SYNC of the guitars is just from another galaxy. Miyako plays also piano, Midori as well, the 2 guitar goddesses. This is serious, really; I do not want to compare, because there is NOTHING...and I mean...NOTHING, I ever heard, better than this. @@SweenyTV I am late to this reaction, so I can say, that they've found a really good bassist to fill the spot, who also has new ideas and brings new energy to the resurrection of the band. Fami is equally as insanely talented as Miho. She has already appeared on the new album "Judgement Day" and made some live appearanced, one of them in Tokio was recorded and will be released as "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" on August 23rd, 2023...

I love metal ... but I'm tired of the same power metal that Stratovarius and Heloween have played since I was nineteen ... I prefer other female j-metal bands like Mary's Blood, Nemophila, Bridear, Trident or even Band - Maid or Doll$Boxx, that I feel sound more natural.👍
