Cork's Last all ireland senior success going 19 years in 2024, and 25 years since Cork Won a NHL final...unthinkable at that time that a generation would grow up without a title😢 Cork never matched the physical levels needed to Compete with the great Killkenny era and now Limerick,,@paddy Sullivan VHS 📼 1990s Cork
They came very close in 2013. They've been outmatched since then, an all Ireland isn't that far off. Knocking Limerick out of the championship in Munster needs to happen imo.
One could never imagine coming from the era of Jimmy Barry Murphy Seanie O Leary so on , and all Cork won Munster and all Ireland in the seventies , eighties and the nineties and this great cork team would come to a sudden halt and just disappear never to win another All Ireland, , and at the time it looked like they would win at least two or three more.
@@Castlelong333it shouldn't be a suprise to cork hurling fans. Cork society has changed so much since that time. Cork produce great athletes but not dirty or intelligent enough hurlers. That's the difference between then and now. PS I'm a cork fan.
We probably should have beaten Clare the first day in 2013, and we were unlucky not to get a draw in this years final. Hurling has gotten a lot more physical since 2005 and we struggled to adapt to those changes. The fallout from that most recent strike didn't help things either! Kilkenny, Limerick and Tipperary have also had strong teams in that time. We've been serious underachievers in both mens senior codes since 1990 but our day will come again.
