I was in Ireland in July of this year and we were at some pubs. they had hurling playing on the TV's and we'd never heard of it before (from the states) but I have to say it was one of the most exciting sports games we watched and we were really getting into it! It's an awesome game to watch and now I find myself hunting on the web to watch them at home!!!! Thank you Ireland!!!

Last evening I watch the Championship match. It ended in a tie. Then I heard about a replay. To my surprise a replay is a whole game. Now I am watching that replay.
The stick is made from the ash tree no other would is good enough,The ash tree is not native to brazil it could be imported ,but in a tropical climate it would grow too quick making it useless for hurling.Hurling was played in argentina before ww2.Imports of irish hurleys stopped,They tried growing the ash,but the trees grow too quickly and snapped to quickly making it useless for hurling.Hurling has returned to argentina in the last few years.There is gaelic football which the brazilians would have been great at

Its been on the go for thousands of years and please god for another thousand.Its a regional game in ireland,but where its played its an absolute religion no other sport can compare the passion there is for hurling.In the traditional counties people play it as soon as they can walk.I don't know whether you are irish or ,but if you are i apologise for stating the obvious.
