22grena In fairness a chairde, there's been hundreds of clubs set up across the world and the GAA's being trying, but there's only so much you can do when the sport's not professional. That's not to say they should, it's a beautiful game and if money comes into it it'll get corrupted like everything else in Ireland where there's money involved. If it became Olympic it'd be brilliant but it has to be played in over 100 countries, hurling's only played in about 30.
Dáire Mag Shamhráin The GAA had a massive number of children born to Irish parents who left the country, in the UK for instance, and made no effort to introduce them to the game.

Oisin O Lochlainn Lacrosse is very popular where I live (which is just outside Dallas) as far as participating in the sport. It's not a big spectator sport, but everybody knows about it. Kilkenny won so many All Ireland finals at that point they felt sorry for the Tipperary, Galway and Limerick teams who went on to win sympathy titles to save the intercounty game for the GAA headquarters.
