With our puppy we made a long ramp and then stapled on a long carpet remnant. Then we attached the high end to our deck. She just celebrated her 10th birthday and we commented that in spite of our Canadian weather, it’s still a perfect ramp with most of the carpeting still on. I just can’t figure out how you guys do it. Every video is so fun and so well produced. You are building a home and you have me watching. Generally speaking, watching a home go up is only interesting to those who are going to eventually live in it, but I find myself tuning in and enjoying every minute of every video. It’s the spirit I which you share what’s going on, with the amazing video and music and lots of Frank and Lika. Everyday seems to be a celebration of both triumphs and failures, and it’s all good. It truly is about the journey and I am ever so grateful to be along for the ride! 🌻
it was so nice to see Trent holding Frank in his arms. I am sure he has been doing it since Lika has become family, but have not seen it on video. Frank is Trent's therapy dog, right? They are both good boys
I too, get warm fuzzies watching Frank and Lika, play, sleep together and the training for treats. Lika, seems to be growing fast. Will Lika's floppy ear stand up like the other ear once she's grown? The closeness between the dogs seems to be a great match. Either Lika, is Frank's little sister or maybe 🤔 a new Girl on the block....lol. Getting excited for y'all as your 4 way inspection draws near. All three of you have worked hard to accomplish so much in a short period of time. Soon and very soon.....repeat and smile! Take care and stay safe. 🤗 to the pups. Love ya, CarrieJo
I can’t wait to see the house finished. We haven’t started building on out mountain properties in no because we are waiting for my husband to retire but I told him we should build a home but make it like yours! That way we can go out there on the weekends and when he takes vacations. When he retires I don’t want a really big home because it’s too much for me to maintain. We do want a full basement and just a one story. The requirement we have is the house has to be 1800 sq ft and no trailers. The porch is amazing! We have a creek and a waterfall so I wanted a big porch by the waterfall. The sound is so peaceful. I look forward to y’all videos and I keep showing my husband and I think he is starting to come around.
Yes, the pups are super cute together- love Lika’s one ear up; one down. I am so impressed at your training! They were both so good in Home Depot! Congratulations on drawing ever closer to the inspection! 💗💗💗 so exciting! Love from Pennsylvania!
I think I was the first to suggest writing or labeling "blue" on that particular red pipe/line. Now I feel like I had a part in the house build! Yay! My next suggestion if you haven't already thought of it, is to put insulation on the inside walls to dampen noise between the bathrooms and other rooms. During a reno I put insulation between the laundry room and kitchen so now we don't have as much noise when the washing machine is on. Did the same around the dishwasher.
Your grandmother is absolutely precious Trent!!!🌟 my hubby's dear Mom used to do our laundry on occasion as well. 👵 Such a treat ! when I was working 12- 14 hour days away from home. 🏡
Lika LOVES Frank. She knows he's her big brother! He's still on the fence but I think she's growing on him. Great job guys! You're making serious progress! Today is Wednesday! Hoping things went well today for you!!

So much enjoy your "house build" videos. You're doing a fantastic job and I'm so impressed with your work. A couple of suggestions if I may: 1) I didn't see an electrical outlet mounted at the main panel which always came in handy and 2), before enclosing the walls after everything is installed, take pictures of every wall (helpful if you place a ruler in the shot for reference) so that there will be no questions by you or future homeowners as to what lies behind every wall. Thanks guys and keep up the great work!
Yeah Grandma!!! Right? Lika is Adorable as is Gangsta-Frank🥰 you both should be Sooo Proud, amazing building this winter. Trent and Allie, thank you so much for your videos. You both made 2020 bearable, one, and two, your journeys/Art that you both share makes my heart smile 🌻🌹♥️😊👍

Will they stand when she's grown, or will she continued to be unique?! We really enjoy your real-to-life steps forward and back and the way you rally. You're the best...😎
Sooo special and what a gift that your grandma does your laundry! Loved watching this video. When you both signed off, it was like, really, it's already been 29 minutes? :) There are so many details in building a home ... what a great idea (and code) to put metal plates to protect hammering a nail where there are utility lines (electric, water, etc.). Trent, you are doing an exceptional job. So glad you hired your friend to assist you in this huge project. Allie, I love your smile, your offered support to your hubby, your great job editing and producing this video. Fun watching Frank and Lika ... neat they both go to go "shopping" ... :)
I always love the end of Daylight Savings here in Oz because it means I can watch these episodes at 11pm. Fun fact: the other day I was shopping at Costco and noticed the massive tins of butter cookies stacked on the shelf and said out aloud, "Oh these are the ones Trent loves!" My husband who was pushing the trolley next to me gave me an odd look which said, "should I be worried?"
Haha funny you should mention that because its usually around 1 am and tonight I thought - oh they are early durrrrrrrrrrrr it's ok I'm having one of those weeks ,

Those two dogs snuggled up are too cute for words 🧡🧡
Pro tip: place wood backing behind where you will be hanging towel bars.
Builders never do that. That would be to easy .
And future grab bars.
And curtain rods
also where you are hanging cabinets. always a common practice when using metal studs
Yup, hang a cleat either behind the sheetrock or in front if you like that aesthetic. Makes installing or changing hardware much easier.

Trent & Allie plus fresh brewed coffee ☕.... great way to start my morning
Sure does sound like a blessed & highly favored morning!
I truly enjoy your videos and this old timer knows that the expression is "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

You've got to love grandma.... She's awesome
Love it.
Today’s?....make that EVERY day’s!🤣
So much enjoy your "house build" videos. You're doing a fantastic job and I'm so impressed with your work.
A couple of suggestions if I may: 1) I didn't see an electrical outlet mounted at the main panel which always came in handy and 2), before enclosing the walls after everything is installed, take pictures of every wall (helpful if you place a ruler in the shot for reference) so that there will be no questions by you or future homeowners as to what lies behind every wall. Thanks guys and keep up the great work!
I can’t get over Lika’s floppy ear 😍. I’m also in awe as to how quick your home build is coming along. You’re doing such an amazing job! x
Needs cropping
I love happy people. The two of you are the best. Wishing you both the best.
Trent, lineman pliers are also called Electrician's Hammer. Also I use the side of my framing hammer to hammer in staples.
So exciting. You guys are getting so close. Love to see how the snacks on the window are growing week by week. Enjoying the progress.

You guys are so much fun!! Love your attitude, determination, and your dogs! 😁 We love the way Lika's ears do exactly what they want! Will they stand when she's grown, or will she continued to be unique?! We really enjoy your real-to-life steps forward and back and the way you rally. You're the best...😎
My Monday wouldn’t be complete without a dose of Trent and Allie

I second that!
Always
Good luck and thank you for your amazing videos!!!❤️❤️ Greetings from Hamburg in Germany! 🙂
JUST LOOKING WONDERFUL I AM PRAYING YOU ALL WILL PASS SO YOU ALL CAN START FINISHING YOUR HOME
Trent and Allie, Frank and Lika! A perfect Monday❤️
So interesting. Waiting for friday and 4way inspection news 😀😀😀
😂😂
I am loving the 11pm time slot too! When DST is on I will still sit up till 1am for my Trent and Allie fix.
Haha!
Haha funny you should mention that because its usually around 1 am and tonight I thought - oh they are early durrrrrrrrrrrr it's ok I'm having one of those weeks ,
🤣🤣🤣
Lila is so cute. Luv the videos keep them coming. Learning a lot on new building codes, thanks for the videos keep them coming.
