An Englishman's nightmare and it's no surprise that a huge amount of praise has come from not only cricketers but the cricket community in England,the man in my opinion was the greatest bowler of all time and also a proper nice bloke,even mike gatting loved him even after giving gatting nightmares for the rest of his life rip warney
I just made a comment with similar sentiments. Then read yours 👍🙂 As a fellow cricketer and straight up guy himself Gatting could only be proud of Shane.
Didn't realise how much I liked the man until he was gone. So sad. What a truly beautiful soul. Love and prayers to his family and friends. How lucky you all are to have him in your lives. Take comfort that he is now in a beautiful place and watching over you.
Warne wasn't just the pride of "Australian cricket". He was the pride of world cricket (as was Lara for example). Warne was massively popular and hugely respected in India and Sri Lanka, and deep down even the English and South Africans, appreciating his talent for the game they played, were proud to know and play with him, and proud of him.
I've been an England cricket fan since around 1975 in the days of the great Richie Benaud & Jim Laker commentaries, and Shane Warne is simply the greatest cricketer I've ever seen.
Oh, Warnie - can’t believe you’re no longer with us. Best bowler I ever saw and privileged to have witnessed Ball of the Century. Wish I’d known you. RIP, you legend.
OMG... Shane Warne sit in Graham Norton 12 yrs ago. Man, Shane Warne still kept that gentleman manner no matter he was in his homeland or in Graham Norton. He looked very handsome when he was young and guess a lot of chicks were his followers or the fans... LOLOLOLL RIP for this Australia Idol. Aman
All geniuses are flawed, you can't help but like the man, R.I.P WARNIE it may of been our English batters you tormented, but for sheer skill and entertainment thank you!!
RIP Warnie still so hard to comprehend. I’ve got 7 older brothers so grew up watching lots of Sport. While I was only a kid I knew how legendary you you were from my brothers and there wouldn’t be anyone who wouldn’t think of you as a cool bloke. Terribly sad for your kids. I’m sure you got a great welcome to heaven.
Dickie Bird said he would have been a fantastic Australian captain. I’ve seen him play twice at the Oval. 2005 was amazing. We were losing and I went downstairs to one of the shop and all the British boys in the shop could talk about was about Warne and McGrath. They were about to win the Ashes! Can’t believe he is gone. What an amazing lovely man x
'and that finger just spins the ball, thats all it is' very humble of Warney, but that was him all over, a genuinely humble bloke, despite the adoration he received around the world he never changed. Pity more famous people couldn't keep their feet on the ground like he did
I don't understand a thing about cricket but I understand what Shane Warne brought to the game. One proud Australian! Gone too soon but a life well lived. RIP
A true legend and champion and a proper Aussie larrikin. You made cricket even more enjoyable, we miss you already mate. Have a yarn with the Don as Australia’s two greatest ever. 👍🍻
Not only was he a great bowler, but even better Captain,I've seen him marshalling the troops to pull a game out of the fire that was dead and buried many times.
Reading all these comments, I think Shane would have felt very humble, and pleased so many people have said lovely things about him. TAKEN TOO SOON🤦♀️🥀🥀🥀❤️bless you Shane
Sir wisden five cricketers of the century are no.1 Sir don bradman no.2 Sir Garfield Sobers no.3 Sir Jack Hoobs no.4 Shane Warne and no.5 Sir Vivian Richards.
A lot of sportsmen/women aren't good interviewees because all they really know is their sport. Shane Warne was also dedicated to cricket but he had charisma in spades too. Very humble.
Like every good Aussie cricketer, absolutely hated him for beating England until you hear him on chat shows and realise he is actually a great bloke who happened to born in the wrong country. RIP.
@@jpdprophotography6693 the history of cricket between 1993 and 2005 would have been drastically altered if Shane had been English. It would have been like 1980's England with 2 Bothams. Up there with Bradman.
The best cricketer the game has seen arguably, his ability to make things happen of his bowling, of the pitch and if none of that's going well, his words and his behavior and body language, is just unparalleled, this guy basically knew how to best play the game right frm the very beginning and made that happen too, miss his presence a lot!!
mulri bowled on sub continent wickets ... warnie on aussie decks aka flat pacey wickets. and lets not get started how warnies action was actually legal. warnie is the greatest bowler to play the game
Why do chat show hosts in England always treat cricket like some quant little game with strange words. I know it’s supposed to be funny and entertaining blah blah blah, however, it’s ridiculous the game is the number two sport in England and has been going on for well over 150 years for crying out loud. Shane Warne is sadly missed and was truly great. Handled this interview and it’s banal questioning brilliantly.
So humble. The world needs more like him. Can't believe he's gone.
Well he's been cremated so let's hope he was 'gone' .
He's not humble at all!
He was many things but humble wasn’t one of them .
Rip legend
Had the honour of sharing a few beers with him in 2006. Humble, funny and honest. Legend
Please give details
@M it's called football.
@M you must be American
@M And yet no one like Warnie came from soccer

I couldn't have put it better myself spot on.
@Stuart Russell - Warnie will always be around till this planet stops spinning.

As me too, but I did know how good he was, he had a personality, unlike beckham, who’s got the personality of a potato
@@dnorfed that's insulting potatoes mate. 😬🤣
One of the greatest cricketers that ever lived, God bless 'em.
He was so cute here...he endeared himself to many outside cricket, such was his cheeky charm.
