Can’t believe it! Extremely sad on Shane Warne’s departure. Was a true legend of the game and an inspiration to many cricketers around the globe. RIP 🙏🙏😢💔💔
Every Shane Warne delivery was an event...it was like the bloke had a bomb in his hand and each delivery was a potential wicket (sadly for me being English)...the best bowler by a mile I have ever seen
2:40 There's something about the way the ball looks in Warne's hands that's mesmerising. His hands look huge and totally in control of the ball. Which they were when he bowled.
Learnt more about cricket in this segment than ever. I used to love playing back yard cricket as a kid 😆 but Warne explaining the leg spin was so interesting. Rip 🕊
Remember watching this live...wide eyed and yelling at the tv!! " Yeaaah warny you champion!!!" I grew up watching him in the 90s. Didn't think it be the last time I see him on TV. Rip king.
Love the last twenty seconds.. shows his true love his art his pure joy in sharing it; a great insight into his bubbling personality inside the great competitor that Shane Warne always was…
Miss you Warnie, you were a precious gem, a great father, a great mentor, friend everything, you mean so much to everyone, miss your voice and we know we are not going to hear you again, sadly we will keep revisiting these videos to watch you hear your wisdom on how well you drop golden nuggets to anyone wanting to be a leg spinner, not just a spinner if anyone wanting to get motivated they should hear you watch you but sadly this life is so cruel there will never be anyone like you Warnie! As they say, time will heal everything but this has not sunk in yet, RIP champ! Love you so much.
Condolences from here in Canada. Just learned about this great great loss to Australian sporting and cultural life.I’m kind of reeling about it even here, so far away. RIP Shane Warne..
I got into cricket because of Shane Warne, im English and my dad watching the ashes in 2005 and I remember watching Shane bowling and I said to my dad, he's quite good isn't he? (Understatement of the century I know) but the ashes that year really drew me into the sport.
Absolutely brilliant. The only improvement would be to make it longer. Shane Warne's cricket brain is incredible. If he had kept his pants on, he would have been a great test captain.
Warney made a great point about tight grip vs loose grip. I bowl left-arm orthodox and I used to have a tight grip before an injury to my middle finger forced me to loosen the grip a bit. Now my finger's better I've tried going back to the old grip and it's never felt the same.
I remember bowling 3 overs of leg-spin in school cricket and getting a wicket in each one, and yet I was never given a second over in any of those games :D. It was slow, but it used to turn a mile. Seems to me that people are a bit sceptical of leg-spinners. My captains have always favoured off-spin. I don't understand it, as when I finally played for a team with a full-time leg-spinner, it was clear that leggies can single-handedly turn matches for the team.
I feel you. Leg spinners don’t get enough support. They need a patient captain during games and most important patient coaches during their youth who will give them time to learn the craft.
This is great. Warnie was my hero growing up, I had a vhs video of his that I watched so many times. I miss my days of bowling leg spin, was amazing fun. Damn hard to control leg spin though. Hope to see many leggies in the future.
He said for Australia to drop Starc and then not to select Khawaja. He knows nothing, we want him deported to England, they’ll take him and they need spinning coach.
@@kiriakoz he was still on point. Starc was performing poorly for an year or so. Had it not been for the dropped catch, Khawaja would not have scored that 100. Shane was right.

I love the visual of Skull and Warnie at the start of this video, stood there each holding a ball, like a pair of legendary gunslingers - Skull especially flicking the ball in his hands like he's twirling a revolver. An amazing watch.
Awesome interview Howie! I imagine it’d be so overwhelming being in the middle with those two but you’ve put in so much hard work and it shows. Keep up the great work brother ❤️

Both teams aren’t playing a specialist leg spinner. In fact hardly any test teams play with a specialist leg spinner anymore. I’m surprised that they don’t. Especially as it’s something different and another option for wicket taking.
