David Byrne is a true genius. Various styles of music are accepted around the world. There's country, jazz, rock, classical, etc... and then, there's David Byrne.
It'd be nice if he could remember the words to his songs, just sayin

TALKING HEADS WILL NEVER GET OLD
THEIR MUSIC IS OUR LIVES IN TIME
The idea that someone covered this piece is a testament to the piece's unique quality and place in 'pop history'. Anyone can do something like this now and every one would be slightly different. But back then, putting something together like that, you'd need the resources of something like The Beatles.
God they sound so good send me back to the 80's
Damn, Tina still had it going on. You hit the jackpot, Chris.
Just finished his book, he says at this performance Tina was wearing pants that she bought at 18 years old, and they still fit!!
@@hector-sauvage Hope she washed them 🤪😩😱
Got to love these guys.........so much talent, originality, ingenuity.... oh ah beautiful.
One of the most original bands ever!!!!
WHAT A BASS PLAYER! And that TONE!
his voice has not changed - brilliant
They'll never be beaten. Byrne is a genius.
Is he good at math or something?

There was enough energy at one of their concerts in the early 80's to light up a city..I'd pay top dollar to see them again..add Adrian Below..wow man..the place would be electric..
You might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like listening to Talking Heads
The coolest band ever.
I don't know how many times i might have watched this. First tim was when i got this concert on VHS back in the 80s. The ethereal essence of the music and lyrics captured my heart from the beginning.
Every now and then a band comes along and changes everything
As a kid, this was my introduction to abstract pop music. Incredible performance!
the best concert I've been to.
25 years later these guys absolutely bring it.
One of the greatest bands ever who cares if they like each other
I'm almost 70 years old , just as a point of reference . I remember reading that within their respective ( NO pun intended ) bands that the Who and the Allman Brothers had actual fist fights !
@@MitchellMaichak-ze7mr if you never had a fight with your best friend, he ain't your best friend!!
as a fellow Brit born and living a couple of miles from Davids home, They are fanstastic, life changing and superb, revisiting will never capture the magic, its all documented and should stay there for us all to enjoy
David and the rest are doing what they do... incredible band..love this version for the induction...tight as hell..
Was my favourite band growing up. For me their best is "Slippery People" with Byrne and Harrison being perfectly tight on Guitar and Keys, while the Chris and Tina weave their magic percussion. Or when Alex Weir joined them on guitar for the beautifully melodic "This Must Be The Place". I couldn't understand why those songs weren't bigger at the time but they have since grown massive streaming support.
Such an amazing band despite the fact that they don’t get along at all. Brilliant
Best rock band. The epitome of art rock drove me through art school and still painting to the Heads today❣️
I remember listening to this band when I was attending Fairfax high school on Melrose and still have those vinyls today
The great and legendary Bernie Worrell on Keys
They sound great live.
