This is cool to see, but the "Stop Making Sense" footage is the ultimate for me. Props to Ms. Tina, the too often unsung hero of this band, who created the perfect bass part for this song. I play music with a former backup singer from Tom Tom Club who sings her praises all the time.

Now in 2023 on Steven Colbert with the movie they really do get along pretty well again, but back at this time they did not and it at times shows in the performance but not on this tune.

It's no surprise that there would be friction between the members, but even then it's definitely not entirely David's fault, as supposedly David and Jerry are still on good terms, but same cannot be said for David and Chris/Tina which makes you wonder if it really was entirely David's fault like the TomTom pair say.

They boasted that they made enough with that band to put their kids through college so how much money did they need? But I guess they wanted more. …. It’s true you have to have a lot of money to live in Fairfield Connecticut. So they started trashing on David after he didn’t want to record or perform with them anymore because they knew they didn’t have as much talent as he did And they knew they couldn’t make as much money without him. He WAS the Talking Heads. They just wanted to use him to get richer. He was smart enough to realize that. Tina Weymouth made all these snarky comments about him like that he “didn’t understand what friendship was.” She doesn’t either. She’s just a user.
