Despite my really cheap soldering tools I was able to do it. The sku I got had the board included so I just had the 3 power/data pins to unsolder and reattach to the new board. I definitely melted the wires slightly but everything managed work. So tiny/finicky, I highly recommend you have very fine tweezers for the wires
What size encoder did you buy for replacement? Did you use an aftermarket encoder or find a stock Logitech one? Is it possible to replace plastic wheel with a metal version?
